good morning, it's i'm allison good morning, it's i'm allison kropff. and i'm ian reitz. as you gear up for gasparilla...tampa police have a warning you need to hear. 10news reporter emerald morrow is live along the pirate fest parade route... emerald, police are cracking down on what you can and event. yeah...there are a
mindful of...but it's all to help keep you safe. beads, pirate gear..obviously all of that is a yes... but styrofoam cups, glass bottles, grills...weapons..dr ugs...those are definitely a no-no what about bikes at the parade? police say you can ride them there... but you have to walk them if you're on the route and sorry...no pets... you have to leave the furry friends at home a couple of other things...no tents and no coolers...although you can bring a small lunch bag or something like it for kids or medical needs. i mentioned before police are keeping a close watch...and will also be using mobile cameras along the parade route and in the air. they say they want to be the only checking out things from the sky. coming up, i'll tell you what piece of absolutely cannot have at gasparilla. live in tampa, emerald morrow, 10news, wtsp.
iowa caucuses, all the republican presidential candidates are back on the campaign trail this morning. frontrunner donald trump did not participate. some of trump's rivals mocked him in the debate on the fox news channel. fox says it refused trump's demand that the network donate five million dollars to his charity in order for him to participate. trump held his own event just miles away from thursday's night g- o-p debate. about 700 supporters showed up at the charity benefit for veterans. trump claims his foundation raised more than five million dollars look at this. that's a carnival cruise ship passing under the sunshine skyway. the ship was more than 15 hours delayed getting back to port. fog is ruining the vacations of hundreds of people

everything you need to start your day in just 10 minutes. the 2016 presidential candidates continue to campaign in iowa...ahead of monday's caucuses. republican contenders made their case to iowa voters thursday night during their seventh debate in des moines. with donald trump not present, ted cruz became the biggest target./ at the same time the other candidates fielded tough questions on immigration and national security. a texas middle school will be closed until further notice after a gas leak breaks out. at least 145 students and staff members got sick when they were exposed to the toxic gas. the gas was concentrated in two hallways in the main building. investigators found the carbon monoxide leak was coming from a boiler. the navy is taking responsibility for a series of booms felt along the east coast on thursday. they say fighter jets were running test flights in the atlantic ocean off the coast of maryland. the boom was felt from the jersey shore all the way to long island. hundreds of people called 9-1-1 thinking it was an earthquake.
