in ohio by john kasich. across the aisle -- clinton defeated sanders in 4 out of 5 states. missouri is still too close to call. 10news reporter sarah hollenbeck is live in tampa at pop 'n sons restaurant. sarah, these results are definitely going to have people talking over breakfast this morning. yes, they definitely will be. this diner is still waiting on the morning crowds to come in. but the talk will definitely be on the primary especially because here in florida marco rubio is no longer in the running, he ended his campaign. and now the path is becoming clearer for trump and clinton. trump knocked marco rubio out of the race, but he failed to win ohio,

reduced the race to a two-way contest with ted cruz. clinton carried the all-important swing states of ohio and florida, dealing bernie sanders a major defeat after his major win in michigan last week. the primary process isn't over yet, but this morning's results will help define the race on both sides. here's what i'm looking into next-- where do the candidates go from here-- what's next for them in this race towards the white house. live in tampa, sarah hollenbeck, 10news wtsp ian, all eyes are now on missouri as the races there remain too close to call for both sides. ian, all eyes are now on missouri as the races there remain too close to call for both sides. donald trump and hillary clinton are now closer to their party's presidential nomination after tuesday's primaries. here's a look at the updated delegate count on the republican side. remember the magic number to clinch the nomination is 1,237. with trump winning three states... he's extending his lead over the other candidates. missouri's delegates are not included in this. on the democratic side... 2,383 delegates needed for the nomination. with hillary clinton's wins in florida, north carolina, ohio,and illinois -- she's now up to 1,561.

the oceanfront fire. no one was hurt, but the home is a loss. clean up will be underway in a few hours after a tornado touched down in good hope illinois. that's located in the middle part of the state. you can see the damage it caused to several farms. thankfully, no one was hurt. if you have a second, come over to your t-v to watch this incredible video. in chicago, a tower cam catches a massive lightning strike hitting the willis tower...which is commonly known as the sears tower. the 108-story building is the tallest building in the city. thousands of people in washington d-c are having to find a different way to get to work this morning. right now, the city's entire metro system is shut down. it is expected to be closed until 5:00 a-m tomorrow. crews are doing emergency inspections on the power cables after a fire on the tracks earlier this week. the metro system carries more than 700 thousand people every day.

can either take or work from home today. the latest support the link virus and the birth defect micro- cephaly, which has been on the rise in south america. lancet estimates the risk of micro- cephaly is about one in every 100 women infected with the mosquito-borne virus during the first trimester of pregnancy. that number is based on a previous outbreak in french polynesia. the defect causes abnormally small heads and often brain damage. school children living in newark, new jersey have to be tested for lead poisoning. elevated levels of the toxin were found at nearly half of the city's schools. city leaders are urging parents to they say the lead compare to the crisis that has hurt flint, michigan. unknown how long those affected have been exposed to higher concentrations of lead. there are likely a lot of florida gator fans watching this morning...and probably some georgia bulldog fans too. heads up -- the college football
