tampa. emerald, 600 million is a huge chunk of money, but commissioners say that still won't be enough. - if the county really wants to solve its transportation problems, commissioners say they really need 13 billion dollars. - that's a long way from the 600 million they could be getting today...but commissioners say they've got to start somewhere if we want to see our roads get better. - so, this morning, the commissioners will vote to get that money to pay for projects in several key areas including: maintenance, safety and congestion relief. - so if the proposal passes, we'll start seeing work done to widen roads, improve some of the bad intersections in the county, and to put in better sidewalks around your kids' schools - this 600 million dollars will be spent over the next 10 years, and commissioners hope to secure funding
