news this morning. i'm allison kropff. and i'm ian reitz. we are down to the very last day before we elect a new president. gop candidate donald trump is spending part of it right here in the tampa bay area as he tries to win your vote. 10news reporter emerald morrow is live in sarasota at robarts arena where trump will rally this morning. emerald, the fight for florida is getting tighter and

every other day we have a different report about which candidate is leading in the polls here in florida, but as we enter these last hours before election day, the race is as tight as it's ever been. in fact, it appears to be even between trump and clinton... so if you think your vote won't matter, this should be motivation for you to make sure you're out at the polls tomorrow. according to a new poll by cbs news, clinton and trump are tied at 45 percent here in florida. these are numbers that could be more troublesome for trump than clinton...because in order for trump to win the election, he must win florda. so the stakes are high for trump, who must use every effort to rally his supporters here if he wants to be the next president. trump's numbers are also neck-and- neck with clinton in ohio...another state that he'll need to nab to win. there, clinton leads by just one percent according

it...and continues to display nothing but confidence to voters. here's a clip from his rally last night in virginia. one factor that could stand in the way of a florida win for trump is early voting. according to cbsnews, clinton might outperform her rival thanks to those votes... however, republican support of trump is very high here in the state, and election day turnout could be strong in his favor. but despite what

and who we might doesn't appear that americans are all that happy with either choice. at 5:30, we'll look into the mood voters are in ahead of this election with candidates who have worst diapproval ratings ever. also today -- hillary clinton will be making several stops -- including pennsylvania. she'll be there to campaign alongside president barack obama and first lady michelle obama. she will also be making visits to michigan and north carolina. the presidential nominee is faced with more controversy today as the f-b-i made about her emails. f-b-i director james comey says the agency is still not recommending charges against clinton after reviewing newly discovered emails. vice president joe biden and his wife dr. jill biden will also be making their way to the bay area today. they will both be campaigning for hillary clinton at albert whitted park. it starts at 5 p-m. also there tonight -- jimmy buffet. he'll be doing a special performance at the get out and vote event. this morning-- federal counterterrorism officials are on high alert. they're working hard to learn more information about al-qaeda threat

terrorist attack. u-s intelligence experts alerted joint terrorism task forces that al-qeada could be planning attacks in three states today. this morning the fbi is looking at the credibility of the threat. sources tell cbs news the threats are focused on new york, texas or virginia. 10news political analyst lars hafner says don't let the threat stop you from going about your day. the threats are vague and there no specific targets. either way, people in new york, texas and virginia will see ramped up security today. janet reno, the first woman to serve as u-s attorney general, has died.

complications of parkinson's disease. the miami native was one of the clinton administration's most prominent figures. she ran for governor in florida back in 2002, but lost. she was 78- years-old. this morning-- people in central oklahoma are cleaning up after an eathquake caused damage to homes, and businesses. it hit near cushing, oklahoma, about 50 miles northeast of oklahoma city. 10news reporter sarah hollenbeck joins us live in the studio. sarah, this was a big earthquake. yes, a magnitude 5.0. to give you some ideaho city, missouri, and little rock, arkansas felt the little rock, arkansas felt the tremors of the earthquake. they're both about 300 miles away from central oklahoma. buildings in downtown cushing crumbled. the roofs of several homes caved in. this morning police officers still have several blocks in downtown cushing closed because they are concerned about building damage and more chunks of concrete

the good news is nobody was seriously hurt in the quake. people in oklahome tell us they heard and felt their houses shake and the ground rumbled violently beneath their feet for about three or four minutes. here's what i'm digging into at 5- 30.... the earthquake centered near one of the world's key oil hubs....and now they are worried about damage to the oil infrastaructure. i'm getting more information on that now to have it for you in 30 minutes. ian.... a lot of you have been talking about this on our 10 news facebook page. heather writes, "felt it in kansas city missouri at my hotel". erica writes, " i hope everyone stays safe," hunter writes, "i felt that earthquake it was scary.. new to me," health officials say 13 cases of a potentially fatal fungal infection

four of the cases ended in death, but it's still unclear if they were because of the infections. the other cases are still under investigation. according to the c-d-c the bug is spreading in hospitals and other care facilities. they are working on preventing the spread of all fungal infections by following cleaning and disinfection protocols. as you start thinking about shopping for the holidays, listen to this: toys r us will be open for 30 straight hours. you can start shopping right after you finish doors open at 5:00 that thursday and they won't close until 11:00 pm on black friday. toys r us hopes to see more business on thanksgiving since a lot of stores have decided to stay closed on the holiday. it's beginning to look a lot like christmas at walt disney world. mickey's very merry christmas party kicks off today. if you haven't been before, there will be live entertainment, a fireworks display, and a holiday parade at magic kingdom. it's 86 dollars a ticket. mickey's very merry christmas party runs until december 22nd.

continue for world series champions, the chicago cubs. check this out. the city dyed the chicago river blue to honor the team. they used about 90 pounds of blue dye into the water that lasted a couple hours. although the water didn't quite reach the same shade of blue as the cubs uniforms, it was bluer than ever. and some of the cubs players were at magic kingdom over the weekend celebrating their world series win. world series mvp ben zobrist, addison russell, and javier baez hitched a ride with mickey mouse as part of the parade as hundreds them out. this story proves no matter who you are, you can still get in trouble with the law. nascar driver dale earnhardt junior is anxious to get back to work. when he was on his way to the sprint cup race at texas motor speedway, he got pulled over for speeding! the officer let him off with a written warning. we are unsure how much the nascar driver was going over the speed limit. earnhardt has been out of racing since the summer after he suffered a concussion. he plans to make his return at the daytona 500 next year.
