today to urge state lawmakers to settle on a final version of the legislation. noah's law is named after montgomery county police officer noah leotta who was killed by a suspected drunk driver last year. representatives from both cham bers are meaning to handle out the differences between the bills but time is running out. the general assembly ends its session tomorrow. >> noah's law is in peril. a bill that had unanimous support in the house, unanimous support in the senate, is now in jeopardy of dying in committee because of extra unrelated provisions that were added to the bill at the last minute. >> if passed, the bim would put ignition interlocks of the cars of people convicted of drunk driving. the people of maryland support tougher drunk driving. >> a young boy has been critically injured after being struck by a

10:00 last night in the 2900 block of knox place southeast. the child and her parents were coming home from dinner where gunfire broke out. so far no arrests have been made. >> fox 5 is in prince george's county where there was some scary moments this afternoon after a driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a restaurant. the crash happened on kenilworth avenue in riverdale. police tell us the driver crashed into the front of a carry-out restaurant. you can see the car all the way in. one person was inside and suffered minor injuries. the driver stayed at the scene and was ticketed. they're still looking at cause of the crash. >> from trouble on the ground to trouble in the air. an american airlines jet had to quickly turn around after a bird strike. the plane landed safely back in key west. when the bird hit the jet, one of the plane's engines failed. 67 people were on board the plane. no one was hurt. the
said the flight crew did a great job getting the plane back safely on the ground. police are looking for a hungry thief. the man snuck into a fast food restaurant in the middle of the night. >> he was caught on camera cooking up a snack. >> reporter: you can say he was a hungry and brazen burglar who snuck into this five guys here in columbia heights. what's most surprising is he never even went near a register or a safe. whips himself up some burgers. he also takes a phone call and helps himself to a drink. then he heads on his way. surprisingly employees of the restaurant say noth

that's all ahead of a frontal system and that system is going to bring us showers overnight tonight as wem as in the early hours tomorrow. not as cold tonight. we were in the 20s last night for overnight lows. but tonight we're going to be in the 40s. still going to be cool but not quite as cold. monday we're talking showers but once again, at least not a washout and warmer and then it's going to get cooler all over again. and that's because we're going to end up seeing some nice, warm air push in from the south and gusty winds, however but it's going to really boost our temperatures. speaking of temperatures, here's those highs for today. we were into the low 50s. couldn't even make it to the mid 50s. but tomorrow will be a different day. we're going to be a lot warmer so that's some good news. right now 46 at dc, 45 at gaithersburg, 43 at baltimore. 50 at quantico. culpeper at 48, and cumberland
this hour at 50 degrees. so we're looking at the temperatures now all up and down the eastern seaboard because we're not alone with what we've been dealing with. here's that cooler air in place but things are going to take a reverse. we're going to get some pretty strong winds tomorrow and they're going to move in from the south. we've had brisk, cold northwesterly flow this weekend, now things are changing. we're going to get a southerly flow and it's going to boost our temperatures right into the mid 60s and i wouldn't rule out maybe some 70s across lower southern maryland. so be on the lookout for that. chilly overnight. 41 at dc, 44 at quantico, 43 at dulles, 43 at martins burg and 43 for culpeper. what we've got is incoming low pressure system to the southeast, departing ridge of high pressure moving off to the northeast. that high moves out and ope
southerly winds in. this frontal system is going to bring us rain showers and right now future cast is moving most of it to the north of us. still i'm not going to rule out that we won't see some of this. warm for tomorrow, gusty winds but we're heading into the 60s. we're also going to end up seeing another frontal system that's going bring us rain showers on tuesday. tuesday looks like more the soaker day for us than monday. but still, as i said, i can't rule out monday and if you look at future cast you're going to see where things are going a little bit more to the north of this precipitation. this is 6:00 in the morning but as we advance, take a look by noon it's kind of scattered a little bit and moved up but i won't rule out it won't dip towards our area. things take a dramatic change look at this rainfall by 9:00 in the morning. heavy in nature and once again could see or could even have to deal with a rumble of thunder or an isolated storm. 41 degrees in the meantime for tonight. increasing clouds, chance of a
