the embassy confirms they americans were kidnapped in baghdad. they have not been identified nor have the embassy said what they were doing in iraq. iraqi media reports said they went missing in south baghdad on the way to baghdad international airport. the embassy says it is working with iraqi authorities to locate them. today the search continues for 12 marines missing after two helicopters collided off the hawaii coast last week. the coast guard says it has no plans to call off or spend the effort. a high surf is hampering it. rescuers have been searching around the clock since the coast guard was notified thursday of the crash by a civilian who saw it flying and disappear in the fireball. amber: the highway patrol is searching for driver who mitt three teenagers walking along the road killing two of them. an s.u.v. hit them walking along highway 421 in harnett county.

family members tell us that the victims had gone to a nearby gas station to grab drinks and snacks and were on the way home when hit. jessica schark says the car came out of nowhere slamming into her sister. >> i was going up the road and she was on the ground and the truck sped off. they didn't stop. amber: the victims are 13-year-old jeff schark a middle school student and 16-year-old kyle strait a high school student. the harnett county school district is bringing in grief counselors to each victim's respective schools. barbara: it was a cold night for fayetteville residents who lost power overnight. about midnight a car crashed on sawmill road knocked out power in the tiffany pines and college lake area. amber: there are a number of local celebrations and commemorations to remember dr. martin luther king jr. on his national holiday today.

the annual m.l.k. march is today in raleigh beginning at the state capitol at 11:00 and will continue past the raleigh "eyewitness news" studio on fayetteville street. it drew about 1,000 last year, many chanting and singing spirituals. and abc11 is sponsoring the annual m.l.k. musical celebration. john clark will be the emcee. the concert features choirs and dance performances. is it starts at 5:00 p.m. one of the largest prayer breakfasts is in fayetteville starting at 7:30 at the crown expo center. this breakfast is 7:15. early. the doors open at 6:15 and they event. we will be here and bring you the latest.
