john: i'm john clark. whether you live in wake or durham counties you want the umbrella and rain gear. meteorologist don schwenneker is helping you prepare for more wet weather. time it out for us. don: we are not going to see the heavier showers working into the region like yesterday unless you live east of i-95. a live look at first first and we will zoom down into the area and most of wake county is rain free and we see most of the rain from rocky mount to wilson and goldsboro. nothing in durham county at the moment. through the day we will see some spotty showers. temperatures are warm but they will fall through the day. 60 right now in roxboro. 63 r.d.u. 62 sanford. 63 smithfield and 64 fayetteville. these are our high temperatures through the day. by lunchtime we are mid 50's. we have rain east of the triangle and this afternoon that

abc11 mobile app. police in fayetteville arrest a man in a sex assault. he is in the cumberland county detention center on $1.6 million bond. officers say he assaulted a 15-year-old in the 1100 block of south wood drive monday. he faces a list of charges including first degree statutory rape. barbara: a fayetteville man accused of giving alcohol to an 18-year-old girl and sexually assaulting her. barbara: march radford lured her to his apartment on trade weekends drive. the victim called 911 after the attack. he faces second degree sex over and charge of providing alcohol it to a manner. authorities are looking for two suspects in a rash of break-ins in wayne county. they are both on the run. dulles deputies say they hit multiple

honda recalling another 2.2 million vehicles because of faulty air bags. the inflator made by takata can explode and send fragments into the passenger compartment. it is acura and older model years back to 2005 and newer vehicles from 2015 and 2016. 11 deaths, 139 injuries have been reported worldwide due to the takata enfluctuator problem. barbara: the convicted killer got his day in court. he was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend in 2000 and he is serving life. he returned to court in baltimore wednesday where his attorneys argued for a new trial. they called a key witness who was featured in the podcast but never called to testify during his original trial. she said she was with him at the time of the crime.
