mcgraw has been charged with assault. tuesday, we are your source for election night. we have all the results as they come in heather: new at 6:00, a man freed after spending 20 years in prison found dead this morning. darryl hunt's body was discovered inside a car in winston-salem. no one had seen him for nine days. police say he had a medical condition that required treatment. how he died is unclear. hunt was wrongfully convicted of rape and murder in 1984 and was exonerated by d.n.a. evidence nearly 20 years later. it has been 10 years since the party that led to the duke lacrosse scandal. when members of the duke lacrosse team were accused of rape. they were charged but the accusation of fake. tonight's espn "30 for 30" documentary serials will look at

of the charlotte area. we could end up seeing a few more isolated thunderstorms later this evening. some cool clouds right now. 73 degrees. winds from the southeast -- southeast around eight miles per hour. you can see a huge temperature divide with the rain. 81 in fayetteville and cooler temperatures off to the north and east. lower 70's in rocks wrong. warm weather towards texas, all this associated with a big system also pushing out towards portions of oklahoma and arkansas and sparking some severe weather here as well. we have several warnings under way right now, including a tornado warning and severe thunderstorm warnings out in portions of arkansas. it's important because tomorrow that severe weather is going to be pushing east towards us. we're under a marginal risk for severe weather.
will not be anything like tornadoes. could see some hail and damaging winds with some of the storms that form in the afternoon and evening hours. rain chances tonight. isolated spotty coverage off and on. likely a few more strong thunderstorms popping up to the east. around here, maybe a thunderstorm or two possibly in the evening hours. overnight we could get a bit of a lull. maybe a few spotty showers but by the morning commute you could see just a few wet zones. other than that, you could see a few peeks of sunshine between clouds and then things change. tomorrow night we'll see more of a setup for more thunderstorms converging coming together and passing through into early tuesday morning. the good news is that on tuesday, we should clear out and things should look ok. our active weather day is going to be monday.
we just showed you, at least for tonight. 58 durham, 59 raleigh. near 60 in fayetteville and clinton. tomorrow, likely more cloud cover in the afternoon but things will be warmer. upper 70's expected in durham, raleigh and fayetteville about 78. you can see a disturbance moving through. cold front on tuesday pushing through. not really a cold front. it's actually going to shift our winds and allow us to warm up a little bit more. on tuesday, no excuse not to get out and vote. beautiful weather, near 80 degrees with sunshine. even warmer on wednesday. we'll be within a few degrees of a record set there quite a few years ago. cool down on thursday as a cool front moves through and likely cooler this weekend as well. heather: after that 84 that's going to feel a little chilly.
