3 3 also new this morning: florida's lottery luck... just keeps on coming. there was *one jackpot winner in the powerball drawing last night. and the ticket... was sold right here in florida. 3 we still don't know exactly *where the ticket was sold. the powerball site only says that *one winner was crowned last night... *somewhere in florida. so take a *very good luck at these numbers. 12-13-44-52-62 , and the powerball is 6.

about 292 million dollars. and as you can see from this sign this morning... the jackpot is *already back to 40 million for the next drawing saturday night. again, we still don't know *where the ticket was sold... so tell your friends and family to check those numbers! 3 3 also new this morning: a homecoming, in houston! scott kelly... is back in the u-s. 3 kelly arrived at ellington field -- just south of houston -- around 2 this morning... he was greeted by colleagues and family including his twin brother, retired astronaut mark kelly. kelly also got a big hug from his two daughters, and his girlfriend. also there... second lady doctor jill biden.. she brought along beer and apple pie for the astronaut.. saying there was "nothing more american than that".. kelly said his year in space is not *his achievement.. but rather nasa's and our country's achievement. his mission generated tremendous interest around the world... fueled in part by kelly's social media prowess. he has one

and "instagram" and posted one thousand pictures from space. 3 3 today in tampa: a woman accused of a deadly hit and run crash... involving a tow truck driver... is expected in court on a petit theft charge. and "allison huffman" will be facing more than just a judge. 3 dozens of tow truck operators are planning to attend today's arraignment.... hoping to speak. they will also be protesting outside the tampa courthouse. investigators say huffman hit and killed "roger perez borrotto" on the howard frankland bridge last month. huffman was already out on a bond... when the accident took place. she was awaiting trial for an unrelated *theft arrest. the judge revoked that bond. and the judge could decide today... whether she can bond out *again. 3 in highlands county: a teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student, faces a new charge this morning. it involves "obsene material." 38-year-old "stacy lynn hooks"

sebring. investigators arrested her last month, after finding inappropriate texts sent from hooks to a 14-year- old student. right now hooks is on unpaid administrative leave. 3 3 ready for round *two? the g-o-p candidates are back on the same stage tonight. it's a fox news channel debate... in downtown detroit. and frontrunner donald trump *is expected to be there. this will be trump's first faceoff with moderator megyn kelly... since he boycotted the *last fox news debate in january. trump felt kelly had some unfair questions for him, in a previous debate. 3 and while the trump-kelly rematch will be the main event tonight... you can probably expect *another showdown between candidate and moderator. we're talking about ted cruz... and chris wallace. cruz was on "fox news sunday" last weekend... and his interview with wallace got *very heated, when cruz accused wallace of *supporting donald trump: 3 3
4:05 am
3 cruz also accused wallace of giving trump *easy questions, earlier in the show. wallace said if cruz had tough questions for trump... he could ask them *tonight. the sparks fly... on the fox news channel. and it all we'll have all the *highlights tomorrow morning on good day. 3 be on that debate stage tonight... is doctor ben carson. he announced wednesday he is *not attending the event, as he re-evaluates his campaign. carson the race... but sources say he

votes. carson will offer more details on his future when he speaks friday at the conservative political action conference in maryland. 3 and adding even *more fuel to tonight's debate... is a speech today from the *last republican presidential nominee... mitt romney. he's expected to talk in salt lake city, about quote..."the state of the 2016 race." romney is not expected to endorse anyone or announce he's running... but he is expected to take some shots at donald trump. romney has already criticized the frontrunner for not releasing tax returns, and not *quickly denouncing a former k-k-k leader. 3 and the race for the white house will soon have a new battleground: the tampa bay area. in fact, several candidates are already moving in. hillary clinton opened *her campaign headquarters in tampa wednesday. *another candidate is opening up shop.. later today. florida's primary election day is still 13 days away. but fox 13's evan axelbank explains why *every candidate is rushing to

"donnie and marie" osmond are also performing. one thing people *won't be excited to see: some extra security. the festival is beefing up their police presence this year... calling it a sign of the times. they will have metal detectors, and an officer at every gate. but they say this is *not a response to any specific threat. 3 the strawberry festival runs today through march 13th. tickets are ten dollars for adults... five dollars for children age six to 12. and kids five and under get in free. you can also get discounted publix. it also costs five dollars to park. and keep it here on good day all morning long for some festival fun. charley belcher will be *live from the fairgrounds, starting in our *six o'clock hour. 3 still ahead: one of the *biggest abortion cases... in decades.. heads to the supreme court. and why an even number of justices...

served fresh from florida. 3 welcome back the time is 4:xx... the u-s supreme court is hearing arguments on a controversial abortion case... the first of its kind in nearly a decade. it comes after a nearly 3-year legal battle over a texas law requiring abortion clinics to

facilities. 3 texas law requires doctors, who perform abortions, to have hospital admitting privileges... and clinics must upgrade their facilities to hospital-like standards. lawmakers there are trying to impose rules they say protect a woman's health. but critics say the rules are too strict and are really meant to be roadblocks to women seeking abortions. what makes this case even more important is the death of justice antonin scalia. with only 8 justices..the court could end up in an even split leaving the lower court's ruling in place. 3 in california... a student from egypt faces deportation, after posting a threat on his facebook page. 23 year old "ema-del-din el-sayed" said he was joking when he posted that he was willing to *kill donald trump and the world would thank him. u-s prosecutors are investigating, but no charges have been filed. immigration authorities still arrested him... and started the deportation process. the secret service also investigated. a hearing will now decide whether he can

4:26 am
in florida.. dating back to the 1940's... is now *abandoned this morning. and it has a full nest of *eggs inside! a demolition crew just started tearing out trees near the nest on racetrack road in oldsmar. all that noise... likely scared the parents away. fox 13's crystal clark spoke to bird advocates, who say the state *isn't doing enough to protect these birds. 3 less than 24-hours after getting the go-ahead..crews began tearing down the forest that once sat behind a petting "horsepower for kids.""i cried. i mean, it was really emotional, and thinking back again, i can get very upset over it."but the animals *most* aren't in a pen.. they're the bald eagles that have been nesting high *above the zoo.."we would see the mom eagle come off the nest for 15-30 minutes at a time. in previous years, they've been clock work. they've just sat down and incubated.""the pony farm pair," as they're nicknamed, have been thrown off by the neighboring construction, bird watchers say..they even built a second nest.. but were scared away so frequently their eggs did not hatch.. "after the season they've been through, i wouldn't be surprised if they abandon this area and build a nest elsewhere."according to florida fish and wildlife, the builder - ryland homes - has done nothing wrong.. the nesting tree is undisturbed and construction is at least 330-feet away.. but birdwathers says, those rules are too lax.."because of construction, half of our nests in pinellas and hillsborough county are up in cell towers and power lines structures now. we have forced the eagles into manmade structures."anti-development signs line the road of nearly every home outside the property.. posted by neighbors who fear construction is taking away the little piece of nature they have left.."we see all these little animals running through the neighborhood looking for another place to go. it's like we're running out of room. i
