to the eastern start of the selman. but that will just show how big back ups are actual crash itself is reported closer to 50th street. according to fhp this patrol car crash unfortunately we don't know anything about injuries yet we will let you know once we find out meantime one lane will be blocked. this does appear to be affecting really just lower deck. so drivers could safe time if you make your way over to that express lane area and use that upper deck of the selman expressway. we're also sti crash with two lanes that are going to blocked right and center. you'll definitely avoid that area basically from university all way back to i'd say at least state road 64 how bad back ups are and then finally, we have skyfox monitoring area of clearwater where we do have that crash we mentioned at the top of the hour gulf to bay boulevard. this has ongoing since 6 o'clock. deadly pedestrian crash at belcher road with westbound lanes being completely blocked. so we want to get out to alcides segui who is on the scene with a little bit more of what you're

unfortunately, alcides, we've talked about this before, this is a dangerous intersection. yeah, you know what, department of transportation has done a safety audit on this intersection not too long ago. they have a made some changes. i spoke with dot about it a little while ago. let's talk about the accident itself devastating morning for the pedestrian's family as well at driver who did not flee the screen. you can see the van still parked right there. and you can also see point of impact, there is wheelchair about 20, 30 feet away. and according to an investigators, they are telling us this pedestrian was not on the crosswalk. and they were traveling, they were actually walking from left to right on your tv screen when they were struck by the driver of that white mini van. obviously the driver did not leave the scene. investigators around still piecing together exactly what

this intersection has a history of auto crashes especially within last couple of years. about 80,000 cars pass through this intersection every single day. from january 2009 to december 2013, 153 crashes occurred here in two years ago, 70-year-old crossing guard 70 doug laws care was killed. he was retired police officer. he was hit by a car after the driver according to an again i just got off the phone with the department of transportation pio and she tells me that they did a safety audit on this intersection not too long ago and the they made some changes. listen in. >> everything at the intersection for sign age, sidewalk, to making sure the area is ada compliant. making sure the crosswalks are bright and can seen. and checked everything that need

but this is not only place impacted. in fact pasco county is joined by four other counties right here in tampa bay. included in that florida disaster declaration. the counties that we are talking about include citrus, her unanimous do, hillsborough, and pinellas counties as well. to find out if you or your business qualify for federal aid it's very easy to do. you can go online, and check out the website disaster assistance you can register on that site. starting this morning just a few hours ago one hour ago at 7 o'clock a new phone number is available 1800621-fema. that number is available if you want to call in and get your questions answered or find out if you're eligible for any types of assistance that number is available until 9 o'clock tonight that will continue from 7 to 9 for seven days a week until further notice. if you didn't know it, if you

yet. we're seeing delays in area. you might want to avoid if you can. we'll get to congestion levels right now in ur interstates normal congestion still uncomfortable if you're heading southbound on 275 from the 75 junction in pasco all way to interchange. 29 minutes will take you if you're driving that way. 17 the time between 75 and 275 taking i-4. that's normal as well. and then moderate congestion as we typically see this time of morning 13 minutes drive coming from bruce b.

hard hard to see why we have plenty of great neighborhood shots shops that offer flavorful delight. >> there has ab another clown sighting in florida some think they are supposed to a smile these are not funny. on tuesday night a m would was walk out apartment she found someone dressed in all black with a black and white mask and clown hair. he was making noise and trying to get their attention. that was latest in a string of incidents. this video from marion county. you take close look you can what we're talking about facebook user posted last week showing a clown standing on the corner in the dark. in palm bay a woman saw two clowns as she was walking her dogs on sunday. >> isn't that creepy? so far >> yes. >> so far there have been no arrest of any clown. but police say whoever is doing this may want to stop because they may not know how it could end for them. this is against the law too for people to wear masks and conceal their identity. isn't that eerie.

between. couple enough citrus county. we get into latter morning early afternoon hours, we'll see more pop up along the coast. and then everything will shift inland for later today. polk county and hardee county highlands county you will have yours later today. here's matthew. remember yesterday morning, this wasn't even a named storm. it's almost a hurricane now. winds have been bumped up in 8 o'clock advisory to 70 per hour. now typically, this isn't a spot where storms have a hard time form willing. that's right in eastern caribbean. yet so far moving west a 16 winds of 70. computer models are in agreement of becoming a hurricane and eventually turning north. but the only discrepancy they have is where does it turn north closer to haiti or closer to jamaica. doesn't seem like a big difference, but in the long-term

delays in this area. also dealing with lots of debris in roadway. apparently this tanker was carrying hot liquid asphalt that spilled all over the roadway normally i it will you to take central just a heads up for folks who would immediately think that. it's very jammed up on central. so you're best work around will be hunt brothers road. let you know if we hear anything more about that. good news is minor injuries here. this post from the humane society of tampa bay touched our hearts. this is horac they were surrendered when their owners moved and couldn't take them along. the humane society said it's not a. absolutely necessary for them to go home together but it would nice. if you're family is in need two of loving little boys to lieven things up come by and meet them. >> and look who we have here. we are so happy to report that a family decided to they had room

welcome horace and jack into their lives. she's here with us today as well pam backer with humane society of tampa bay. such an exciting time. oh my goodness thank you so much. we have horace, this is horace. and jack. >> so let's start off with you going yesterday i mean you adopted them hours ago? yep. they haven't even had bath yet did you have go in with intention oof adopting two dogs. no, one. maybe. and what happened? we just i saw their iaw just wanted to go look and see what was available i went and saw one when i asked to spend time with them they said well we really didn't want to separate them. they just came so would you consider both. and i called my husband and at work and he was just you're going to do what you want anyway so i said okay. and i'm so, yeah we went for it. and my kids love them. come on in. we love them.

>> very docile and calm and they are two-year-old ole they came packaged house trained. pam, let me ask you, do you see this happen often where multiple dogs are surrendered brothers and brother and sister are surrendered it doesn't happen every day a couple times a month unfortunately. somebody will bring in a bonded pair like this and want us to keep them together in their new homes. it can a little tricky to like this, it's a little bit easy are are two oh easier to handle when you have larger dogs they tend to stay for a very long time. i you ask you'll always encourage a family someone coming in to adopt one there is the opportunity to take the family together and like these two. but of course not all families can. >> right. we do encourage them to adopt together. but, if it means that they are going to be there for too long, then we will split them up if we have top liz, you already have a full house.

what do they think about your anew addition? they love them. they are just. my daughter, tends to gravitate towards jack and other towards how ras. mean look at that how could you separate these two. you said when when awent there one of them they were whining because they were separated already in different kennels. so but now have they whineying. no i haven't heard them bark. you are our i mean thank you so much. i know it's tough, when you if expect to take two dogs in your home for you see love they have for each each other oh my gosh. >> so you mentioned how it is much more difficult iffist larger set of dogs. we do have a picture because there is a brother pair? >> yes. >> they do have brother pair they are not siblings they came in together and they are definitely bonded pair they are
