thanks alcides.. now to a tragic story in polk county.. where deputies continue to investigate the death of a five year old boy.. after he was hit by a truck.. while riding his bike.. fox 13's shayla reaves is live near lakeland this morning.. shayla, this happened

i can't begin to understand what this family must be feeling ...especially, the eight year old girl who lost her little brother. you're looking at the scene off saddlewood boulevard, around 5 o'clock thursday evening. according to the polk county sheriff's office... a pick up truck struck 5- year-old austin crawfordas he and his sister road bikes in front of his next door neighbor's home. deputies say the boy turned and traveled into the road..the passing driver hit him.a neighbor shared memories of the child. we learned neighbors and family tried to save austin by performing cpr. medics transported him to the hospital where he died from injuries. we're told the driver is cooperating with investigators.i can only

"west wild hogs".. was brought back from memphis and booked in bartow on thursday afternoon... he's currently facing a kidnapping

saturday. hogs didn't answer any questions from reporters as he was walked into jail. rebecca was reunited with her family on tuesday. the man accused of hitting a teenage girl on wednesday -- along west hillsborough avenue in tampa.. has been caught by state troopers.. he was busted.. while trying to file an insurance claim for his banged up car. his name is nikolaus kon-stan-ti-nou.. and he's 56- years old.. he told them he didn't know what he hit -- but he didn't think it was a person. ashley perdomo tell us she was leaving her job wednesday evening.. and crossing hillsborough avenue.. when she was hit and killed. last night, after news of the arrest, they held a vigil in her honor. troopers say if konstantinou had just stayed at the scene, it's unlikely he would have faced any charges. he will now face a judge for leaving the scene of a

meanwhile in pasco county-- a 13-year-old boy remains in critical condition this morning.. after he was hit by a car in port richey.. the incident happened around 6-30 thursday morning at congress street and ridge road.. deputies say "gabrial rodriguez" ran across the street... and into the path of an oncoming car. the driver in this case... was not charged. to the campaign trail now.. donald trump is firing back after a week of being rocked by sexual assault allegations... "conspiracy against the american people".. led by the political and media establishment.. speaking at a rally in west palm beach -- trump told supporters that he will protect them... and vowed that america will have a new independence day on november 8th.. trump has denied recent allegations.. made by several women.. that he touched and kissed them without their consent.. on the democratic side.. hillary clinton spoke at a sold out lunchtime fundraiser in san francisco yesterday... she told her audience that the election is about quote:

time now is 5:x.. developing overseas.. "boko haram" militants have handed over 21 schoolgirls.. after a series of negotiations.. the girls are part of a group of women who were kidnapped from their school two years ago.. a total of 276 girls were taken by the militant group in april of 2014.. 57 girls escaped almost immediately.. and one was found this spring. just under 200 of the women remain unaccounted for this morning.. there are part of a swap for detained leaders of boko haram. nigerian officials say the government will continue to negotiate the release of more girls in the coming days.. two boston police officers remain in critical condition this morning.. after being shot during a deadly domestic disturbance call.. investigators say 33-year old "kirk figueroa" and his room-mate were arguing over the thermostat, when officers arrived.. figueroa was

officers stepped inside -- they were both shot.. figueroa was then shot and killed.. nine other officers were treated at a hospital for trauma, stress and minor injuries. a crackdown on service and support animals on planes won't happen.. for now. airlines and advocates for people with disabilities met about proposed rules this week. they could have made it harder for people to get the documentation for a service or support pet to fly for free. but..the two sides could not come up with an they have decided to hold off on any new rules. thailand is without a king this morning for the first time in 70 years.. the asian nation is in a state of mourning.. after the death of the world's longest reigning monarch.. a procession will start later today as the 88-year old king's body is moved to the grand palace. the king was considered a unifying figure in the country. his son -- has asked for more time to grieve before taking the throne.. north carolina's governor says two more people have died

now to possibly the biggest update of the morning.. the largest alligator ever caught in texas --- has a name! we showed you this mass houston.. it measured in at 13 feet and 8 inches long... and weighs 900 pounds.. there was a debate on wheter his name should be "big tex", or "darth gator".. the winner? -- "big tex"! he's now living at a 20-acre facility.. which

welcome back.. if you're in need of some extra cash.. there are plenty of stores hiring for the upcoming holiday season.. earlier this week we were at best buy.. but now --- amazon has announced it needs 230-thousand seasonal workers.. the jobs are available across the country -- including at the fullfillment center in ruskin... last year.. more than 14-thousand seasonal jobs turned into holidays. amazon officials expect that number to rise this year honda has announced the recall of about 350-thousand "civics" in the u-s... because of a problem with the electronic parking brake. it's a software issue with the parking brake.. that could allow the car to roll away.. if the vehicle isn't left in park. the recall covers 20-16 model civic coupes and sedans. honda says no crashes or injuries have been reported. toyota recalled it's 2016 prius yesterday..

samsung says it expects to take a three billion dollar loss.. after deciding to stop production of the galaxy "note seven" smartphone. problems began in september, when the company recalled two-and-a-half million of the phones, due to overheating batteries... samsung then issued replacement phones with updated software and a new battery supplier.... but those phones also caught fire. americans are no strangers to the challenge of a work-life balance... it turns out -- we aren't balancing as much as we should be. a new survey found american workers are giving away billions of dollars away to their employers.. in unspent vacation... the survey shows that nearly sixty percent of american workers left vacation time unused last year.. so who are they blaming? their bosses of

the time now is 5:??. let's get you up to the minute on today's top stories: polk county deputies are investigating the death of a 5-year-old boy... after he was hit by a truck, his bike.. the incident happened just before five last night--on saddlewood boulevard off rockridge road in lakeland.. deputies say austin crawford was riding his bike with his big sister, near their house... after he was hit -- a neighbor tried to save the boy by doing c-p-r... but he later died. the driver of the truck is cooperating with deputies. we expect to learn more about exactly what happened sometime today.. first lady michelle obama became emotional when talking about the now infamous video

told a group of hillary clinton supporters thursday.. that "enough is enough"... donald trump has denied recent allegations that he sexually assaulted women. people magazine, the new york times and the palm beach post, have recently published stories of women.. who say trump grabbed and kissed them. trump has called those claims lies.. a homeowner in pasco county got quite the scare.. after finding a burglar.. sleeping in their bed.. the home-owner told police they returned to their home in ze their room.. deputies say the sleepy thief.. admitted to entering the home through an unlocked sliding glass door. and not only that.. he ate some bologna from the refrigerator. jeffcott was arrested for burglary and petty theft. he was also wanted in connection with another armed burglary. in other news.. at least three people are behind bars this morning.. after hernando county deputies broke up a dog fighting operation in brooksville.. the images are heartbreaking.. and even

dogs, and 2 puppies were seized on thursday.. many of them struggled to walk, because they'd been chained up so long.. their home on twiggs street.. appeared to be a dog-fighting training center.. this morning -- james harris, darryl smith, and leondre wright have been charged with animal cruelty.. how any human can get pleasure watching another animal hurt or kill another animal is digusting the dogs are being ea were more than happy to go. in the meantime -- the shelter there is now overrun. they're currently offering 10 dollar adoptions on other animals to make room.. the dogs that were seized... will be closely monitored and could be ready for adoption in the future.. back here in florida.. state health officials have announced a new zika zone in miami... it's a setback.. less than a month after declaring the nearby wynwood neighborhood cleared of the virus. govenor scott's office announced thursday --
