coast we have extra clouds as they're rain nearby, but it won't impact the boat ride in st. petersburg. we will see a nice, pleasant, quiet start to the day. temperatures are warm this morning, but we had one 60 sneak in. crystal river at 68. it's 72 in lakeland, 75 in tampa and st. petersburg and sarasota. the dew points are up to near 70, because of these values you notice again some showers and possibly a storm today. a lot going on to our west and canaveral, wut this will weaken and only an isolated shower from this may sneak into eastern polk county. beyond that, it's afternoon, spotty showers, hit-or-miss that may strengthen a bit building into the coastal counties. while the rain chance is 30% in tampa today, it's 40% in st. pete and other area beaches but not until late today. until then, mid-80s and cooler weather for next weekend.

the event. his speech focused on addressing conservative concerns like foreign policy, american headlight care and rights that he and donald trump plan to protect if elected. pence did not address allegations of voter suppression in indiana or the two new women who have accused trump of sexual assault. >> i think despite the avalanche of insults coming out of the other party and the other campaign, i think this election is really it's about prosperity. >> we need your help. obviously, in the presidential race, but we need your help in the senate race. for the congressional races. for the statehouse and the state senate. we need people who believe in limited government and free enterprise and a strong defense at every level of government. >> anjuli: meanwhile, democratic vice presidential nominee tim kaine spent the day in florida. he was part of a rally in miami.
7:05 am
addressing donald trump's claims that the election is rigged. he also spoke about the recently leaked audio recordings of trump from more than a decade ago that included lewd comments about women. he told the crowd he's offended by the locker room talk excuse and she should be too. today he heads to tallahassee, panama city beach and pensacola. more drama. last need wikileaks released goldman sachs. >> the clinton campaign compare it to the watergate scandal. jennifer griffin has the latest. >> reporter: wikileaks uploads the eighth round of e-mails from hillary clinton's campaign chair john podesta. this latest batch has transcripts from three paid speeches clinton made to goldman sachs back in 2013. >> hillary speaks in secret to goldman sachs sharing her private position, and then lies
7:06 am
public position. >> reporter: in one sweech about dodd frank, that's the walt street reform bill passed by the obama administration in response to the 2008 financial crisis, clinton tells goldman sachs executives who mostly oppose dodd-frank that she supports it for political reasons saying, quote, there was a lot of complaining about dodd-frank, but there was a need to do something because for political reasons if you were an elected member of congress and people in your jobs and shutting businesses and everybody in the press is saying it's all the fault of waut street, you can't sit idly by and do nothing, but what you do is really important. the clinton campaign has responded by saying that the hacking is more evidence of russian interference to help trump. >> russians are engaged in attempts to cyber attack the election. we got to win big so we can send a message to anybody else. don't think you can come in here
7:07 am
election. >> reporter: podesta himself is firing back at julian assange on twitter posting a picture with the caption, i bet the lobster risotto is better than the food the ecuadorian embassy. that's why he's been holed up for the last five years. wikileaks is still promising to release thousands of more documents between now and election day. in las vegas, jennifer griffin, fox news. >> alcides: the third and final hillary clinton is taking place this wednesday, october 19th at 9:00 at the university of nevada in las vegas. it will be moderated by our "fox news sunday's" chris wallace, which we love here on fox 13. you can watch it on fox 13 followed by your late local news. >> anjuli: time is 7:07. pumpkins and badges. that might sound like an unusual combination, but that's why hundreds of families stopped by

7:11 am
storms shake up the west coast this weekend. two confirmed tornadoes tore >> anjuli: storms shake up the west coast this weekend. two tornadoes went through tillamook, oregon this weekend. so far no deaths have been reported in coastal oregon. they're still speexperiencing h winds and tornado warnings there. it's so beautiful, though. >> lindsay: it's unusual for them to see a storm system like that.
7:12 am
in the pacific northwest because typically they just see rainshowers. yesterday they saw winds in a couple spots gusting to hurricane force, and now today it's rain. they've had three separate storm systems nail the region. this is happening right now. showers building right along the coast. winds are intense, and there's that third low since thursday. just racing eastward. expected this to be stronger and didn't pan out in some spots. could have been worse the pacific northwest. what's better this morning is we don't have the showers for outdoor plans. it's still 75 degrees and a northeast wind and more breaks in the clouds but still some cloud cover, especially the further close to the coast you live where we have some clouds due to some rain offshore. so as we look east towards tampa, this sunrise is going to be a beauty. it's coming up in about 15 minutes and it's also 75 with
7:13 am
cape on the east coast. then to our west we have weakening storms but they are meandering moving away and 74 miles to the west. to the east it looks like this norm is weakening and not making much progress. while this is a heavy storm near i-95, maybe one shower at best, eastern polk county and sumter county this morning. it should be quiet until afternoon showers dwom this morning. to the coast you live later today. in the tropics we have one named storm, nicole, hanging on in the northern portion of the atlantic. there's a low pressure east of our state at the end of the week. either way, it has a strong cold front that's headed our way for saturday and especially sunday. so next weekend very fall-like, and could be a significant front bringing us the coolest air this season. we time it out for you this week.
7:14 am
75 in pinellas park and tampa and brooksville is at 70. one 60 in crystal river at 68. plenty of low 70s as that easterly surge brought the dew points back to near 70. these are higher readings, and that's why it's not as comfortable out the door and that's why yet again today we will introduce a better chance for rain. combining that low level moisture with a little piece of upper level energy, the two give us overall. as the spot showers build west, we saw signs of that yesterday. some of them were heavier. tampa points west ward, so near the coast very late today. i'll up the rain chance to 40%. satellite and radar picture show the east wind and a good deal of sun mixing in the clouds. they will thicken a bit as thundershowers develop and push west, especially between 2:00 and 8:00 tonight. still 86 for a high today. here's futurecast and a
7:15 am
thickening and spotty showers by lunchtime and then they're more scattered into the late day building towards the west coast 6:00, 7:00. overnight fewer clouds and monday fewer showers with slightly drier air aloft and a little more heat and a springle at best monday and tuesday. best rain chance this afternoon and probably friday ahead of the cold front we're monitoring. a passing shower and a storm at best today. 70, which is still above average, mild overnight under partly cloudy skies and monday little more sun, possibly a sprinkle but not much rain into the early part of the week. a little less breezy and still a bit breezy today. we have a moderate chop with our seas at 2, 3 feet. seven-day forecast, more of the same through thursday, and then slightly cooling on friday. big-time cooling possibly saturday and sunday. can't show you sunday, but i would expect some lows in the 50s as the way the forecast is

what is driving performance? it's not a weekend hobby. you have to live and breathe it for 50 years. it's the sound... and the fury. it's letting it all hang out there, and it's hanging on for dear life. that is what amg driving performance means. and this is where it lives.

7:23 am
kids these vitamins not knowing, i guess, what could be some side effects. >> the question is do kids need individual minimums? absolutely, they do. they need vitamins a, b, c, d, e, k. they need all the minerals but they get that from their diet. a lot of times they don't need vitamins out of a pill bottle. >> they need the vitamins, but he can get it from the diet. you don't need to buy it over the counter or anything? >> for food is fortified. there's additives put into the food. when you drink milling you get vitamin d added to it, bread has added niacin and there's folic acid in the flour. so they get a lot of extra vitamins and minerals just in the food supply. even for picky eaters it's rare for children to have some type of vitamin deficiency if they live in the united states and eating an element regular diet.
7:24 am
my oldest kids. he hates eating broccoli. we force him to eat broccoli and green beans and a lot force children to eat vegetables as well. if they're picky eaters, they get everything they need? >> most of them are. it's rare for children to have vitamin deficiencies, but this industry is over $30 billion that pushes vitamins and supplements. although it's not a bad thing to take them in most cases, we find out for like that study that just happened that maybe these things around -- there could be negative effects from well. >> alcides: what should we do? >> i would not say to absolutely stop your children from taking multi-vitamins, but eating good food and eating a varied indict yet and getting the vit anyones through the food is a good thing. there's no areas with implemental and vitamins. many women trying to become pregnant, taking a prenatal vitamin is very problems because

it's not headed our way. we look to the east for rain today. speaking of to the east, we have a nasty storm expanding near i 95 and cap cape canaveral and melbourne. while they're 74 miles offshore, the cloud are there. polk county. that's it in the rain department this morning. we're warmer this morning. look at the low 70s, 72 in wauchula and 68 in crystal river. should be in the 60s.e area - some of us will wake up in the 50s next weekend. cold front on the way. today, though, it's nowhere in sight. dew points are high in the 60s and 70s, and that will just give us some fuel to some afternoon and evening showers and storms.
7:51 am
dew points in the mid to upper 60s, tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. as we head into friday, here's the cold front. it will sweep through sometime probably early saturday is the timing right now. so anytime we drop these values below 60 is wonderful and refreshing. that's the case late saturday and sunday. it's one week away, so it could change, but at this point next weekend we may see our first significant cold front. today we have high pressure building in from the north. and that will drop today some upper level energy enhancing that 30% rain chance. showers build towards the west coast late in the day. milder air with high pressure in control in the coming days, so we have 65 in chicago, 73 in houston. off to the north and west is where the cooler air is, and that's where our cold front will come from later this week. today, though, low to mid-80s for highs and 86 in tampa and 86 in sarasota. so seasonably warm this afternoon.

here's hurricane nicole for the third time in its lifetime reaching hurricane strength. it's well out in the northern atlantic moving east. 85-mile-per-hour winds as of 5:00 a.m. it lifts northward, it will lose tropical characteristics in the work week and it will be out of our hair. one area we're watching with a low chance of development, we have a surface feature and upper level feature near the bahamas. just a 20% chance of developing the next five days, and if this does develop, it'sen headed it will head to the east due to our upper level pattern. so moderate humidity and here's futurecast and lunchtime. an isolated shower, but by late day we saw this yesterday. as the showers build westward, they may be heavier for our coastal areas. so i'll keep the rain chance in tampa 30%. ilts more like 40% at some area beaches, but not until late today. passing showers hit 86 for the high this afternoon with abundant sun and we climb to 87
