comfortable reading. we are significantly cooler than this time yesterday. anywhere from 2 degrees in clearwater to 9 to 11 in spots all thanks to yesterday's cold front that now moving into south florida hence the dew dew points in the 70s. our dew points are in the 40s. that a bone dry reading and that's why you are not going to see any clouds today. clear skies all day long, but what we will be watching this morning are northerly surges. if you have boating plans, second half of the day best for you as our winds will cool start, we only rebound into the 70s for highs. 71 at lunchtime. high of 76 is below average. averagewise we should be at 83. tomorrow morning even cooler than what we are waking up to tomorrow. you don't want to miss those numbers. back to you, guys. crews are on the scene of a deadly crash in tampa. we don't have many details. this happened at the veterans expressway mary the memorial

just after 2:30 this morning. we know two people are dead. the road is completely blocked at this point. of course, we will bring you more updates as soon as we get them. also new this morning, hillsborough county deputies arrest three men they say beat an elderly woman during a home invasion. really a disturbing story. happened thursday afternoon inside the bay west home mobile home park on kings point road. deputies say two men waded for a 83-year-old woman to walk dragged her back into her house by her hair. they say they punched, kicked and beat her with a metal object. they actually took off with a safe in the bedroom but didn't get very far. here is the good thing. tackled by a maintenance worker and arrested while trying to leave. neighbors were happy that a worker was brave enough to step in. >> sincerely glad because, who knows, something could have

am not there. it's kind of -- kind of heartbreaking to see that -- especially around my neighborhood. >> alcides: the driver of the car took off after the man was tackled. deputies later spotted that car at a circle k in town and country. the two men were arrested. all three are facing multiple charges. here is the good part, the woman is expected to be okay. when the sun comes up this morning, crews will be back out in tampa bay looking for a missing boater. he disappeared trying to free his boat a sand bar near the courtney campbell college. the man and his fiancee were in a rental boat when they got stuck. he got out to it the water to push it free. he went under water, resurfaced once and then disappeared. he was not wearing a life vest. a pair of witnesses on shore tried to help. >> there were two gentlemen on the shoreline who saw the woman's cry for help. both of those gentlemen entered

to recover the gentleman and they were unsuccessful. >> the boater can swim and does give them some hope. the area where this happened is 10 to 20 feet deep. again that sich for him will re-- that search for him will resume when the sun comes up. arrested a third person who took thousands of dollars in an identity theft case. detectives say that isabel dallas worked for a local magazine company. she would tak offereders over the phone and pass the credit card information to her daughter jessica dallas according to investigators. investigators say they racked up $100,000 in charges. most of the victims were out of state, but then police say chantel jones got involved accused of opening credit card and bank accounts in other people names. she is seen here going on a shopping spree. >> i think that they are evil people and they should know
