from tampa bay's number one news station,
this is good day tampa bay. welcome back. it's 8:30. we have a developing story right now. someone has dumped a lot of trash at a church in tampa. alcides, it looks like somebody just missed the dump. are you at christ the king? is that where this has happened? >> yes. i'm at christ the king off dale mabrey in tampa. you know, the parking spot,
of trash. full of trash. i mean, so there's a company i will get out way here a company that just showed off that will start picking up this mess. but i, you know. there are a lot of questions here. a lot of questions. because that's not a pick up truck worth of trash. i mean that's a lot of trash. i mean i would venture to say that's at least dump truck worth of trash. not from a construction site. not so a lot of questions this morning first of how did this happen. who did it. i can tell you city of at that is here they are trying to figure it out as well. but i'm just i'm just kind in awe about it. i didn't expect expect to see this much trash in the parking lot. i really didn't.
its like someone from church just arrived a short time ago i will talk to them and in a second here. but again a lot of questions this rn mo more than who could have done this when did it happen are their surveillance cameras someone wants must have saw something. and a did you see it earlier. no i live it woke me up. >> did did you hear engine. did you hear anything last night? no, i watch it on security cameras this morning after i saw it happen. i heard the noise, 6, about quarter after 6. looked out parking lot. saw this big fire fire trucks right here at this point. so, so you saw, i'm sorry. capitalize. a dump truck i was watching security cam. a city gar back truck caught on the trash on fire across the
street. dumped it in our lot. then it really got big. and then they the fire department came and put it out. so i've cleaning it out. >> so there was a dump truck a garbage truck. city garbage truck inside it was on fire that what you were saying >> they dump it here fire department came and put it out correct. now you've got this. now they've got to clean it up >> well okay. that solves that solves that crime father. all right. just to clean up effort i imagine is pretty significant. >> yes probably no worse than politics today. i love how you're taking this. i really do. well that would explain why i saw city employee a little while ago i was going start asking questions i'm sure he wasn't go ask a whole lot. father i greatly appreciate for your time sir, thank you. god bless you. thanks again. >> crime solved.
surveillance cameras so there's dump truck on fire. they came they dumped it here. the city of tampa put out the fire. and that's the mess you see right now. wait. no. i'm wait, no. tell me again. the truck was on fire or trash was on fire. that's what he said. the trash was on fire. so i don't know how, i guess we'll figure this out for city of tampa. trash was on fire. i guess as precautionary, just came and put out the fire. now they are just cleaning up the mess. >> well one good thing. well. big take away here is it does not look like malicious. out to do something bad. on parking lot of church. so, i think, that's the way it looks to start with. that's one thing i was curious did someone do this on purpose. get back to barbecue. we will talk later, okay. >> yeah. >> see you later.
see you. >> that's big mess. it is a mess. it is a mess. all right. what qualities do you look for in a good leader? what is the biggest obstacle to solving florida's big's problems. some questions being asked latest sunshine state survey. how did floridians spopd? jen's here with some of the latest findings on this russell. if you think washington is not work racial ethnic differences get in way of solving this state biggest problems. you're not alone. populations. according to 24 percent of floridians, that makes building coalitions and solving state biggest problems more difficult. stating their just too many differences of opinion. the study also found that an overwhelming majority of floridians do not trust government leaders. they have most distrust for federal government followed by state and local leaders. when asked about a term limits, 90 percent of floridians say they are opposeded to extending
now sunshine state survey is joint effort i by usf and 1200 florida adults took part in this particular one. russell. all right jen, thank you. >> 8:36. spacex is asking for $5 million from the state for launch pad improvements. space board of directors voted to negotiate with department of transportation for that money. it would be used to match the funds already handed out by company's founder he launch pad since 2015 and ones money to start phase of project create an estimated 130 jobs. >> an alabama woman is facing charges for trying to bring a loaded gun into disney animal kingdom. 23-year-old bailey turner was the second same day. deputies say turner once held a conceal carry permit in alabama but that expired in january. even with a permit guns are not allowed in disney parks.
trying to bring a loaded gun into epcot. that just happened a few hours before. >> world series all tied up now after being out matched in game one cubs came back to win game 2 they couldn't have done it without their star pitcher. and the return of kyle. both teams have tonight off before the series moves to chicago. it's going to be a huge night for cubs fans game 3 will mark first world series game wrigley in 71 years. first pitch tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. and guess best seat in the house. sure is. >> good call. colder than cleveland. and more expensive too. i can imagine. boy. i know if he want to sit out there in 40s. >> those cubs fans don't care. they which don't care. lot of friends are cubs fans.
over to clearwater. where it's also 70 degrees. here our 8 o'clock temperatures. showing mid to upper 60s. sebring has touched that 70 degree mark before 9 o'clock in the morning. this is a couple degrees warmer than the way we started yesterday. i'm liking dew point numbers keeping them in lower 60s and occasionally the mid 60s is okay. it's when they start to get above that 70-degree mark. where you start to really feel points over the next few days, not bad, right. 64, 65. occasional 66. so we're going to hold humidity really in the moderate category. from now all the way through the weekend. it's still going to be breezy. we're not going to get rid of that. we're not going to get rid of warmth. this front dos disnothing to us high pressure in control. only thing. and just like yesterday, breezy
coastline. other than that clouds, sunshine, seasonably warm. high around 85 degrees. a few clouds tonight. 68 for a low. then partly cloudy, nice and warm with 85-degree temperatures for tomorrow. your next 7, going to be in mid 80s. including halloween by the way. and lows will be in the mid to upper 60s. look at this picture sent in to us from barbara thompson. look at the birds, just trying to figure out whether or not they w water. they are just kind of like well should we? maybe not. i don't know. maybe we'll just hang out here and get warm a little bit. i thought what a beautiful picture. fox 13 good day mug for you barbara. >> like me and lucas over weekend. we vivid my grandpa in spring hill he has pool you guys should have brought your suits. and get in pool. no. you first. oh, no, no, you first. yeah. >> great picture. all right. dave, thanks. >> you know we were joking about
cleveland versus chicago. so i looked it up i know you guys i'm a nerd. 700 standing room only in cleveland versus 1900 in chicago standing room only. behind dug out, $20,000 in chicago. that's a lot of money. cleveland it was $8,000 for the area near dug out. so yeah. big difference. all right. got to get to traffic here. looks likes we're looking a lot better southbound 75 area south this is area of previous crash. looks like lanes are going to be clear moderate delays back to checking out other parts of interstates, 15 minutes to get from 275. that junction with i-4 slowest spots westbound i-410 minutes. mlk to 275 news alert out lake ales a manhunt unde two people who shot and killed a convenience store clerk. this happened at the qp convenience store.

aisle this election season that's halloween. people across the country will spend more 8.fou billion dollars on holiday a that price tag on trend with every other election cycle this year. it may actually break the record from the previous election year. another trend, more adults dressing up in costume ask dressing up as politicians. that's number 3 coming in behind witches and pirates. people are expected to spend about $83 per person. that's up from 74 last of $80 which was back in 2012. which just so happened to be a presidential election year as well. >> and there's no doubt that lot of that money is going to be spent on candy. parents may want to hold off letting the kids eat too much of it. turns out that all of that sugary junk food can have negative impact on their brain function for years. we've known that sugar is bad. it leads to obesity and other health problems. australian researcher says

garden. >> yeah. one of the things i like about doing these segments showing your viewers that i don't know what i'm doing either. so. most times he does. most times i make mistakes and lots of problems to deal with. in bed a few segments ago we cleaned it output fert liedzer turned soil and i straight seeded you know what straight seed put seeds what happened is this about second or third time we weeded garden bed. i am looking we don't have many seedlings left. we seemed to have pulled up what we had with weeds. >> that's exactly what happensbroccoli plant. you can see row kind of ends right here. i like to get in here with my action hoe and get aggressive with weeds. there's a little kale plant right there. it's really possible to go back over your plant.
so a few years back i figured out a much better way to do this starting all my seedlings in seed trays. okay. so right here we have a romaine lettuce right here three different types of kale. the seed trays i like to use come in a few different sizes theer are call 288s smallest cells available. this is one 28. this is a 200. that's a 98. or other way around. what is advantage of having them in different sizes? different sizes of seeds. how long until you need them. so how long you might need to stay in there. so in that one we might do beans or squash which have bigger seeds and come up bigger. but if you can, if you need plants right always go with smallest cells that you can get away with. >> now if i come to widwam organic and i want to, you can sell me things like this, right? >> we have all supplies. we have seeds germ nation mix and also cell tray. we also have customers that come
sell trade already started just like this. what do you do? you plug that in like my hair transplant. apop them out. don't have a steck available right out hill holes on the bottom. you don't squish these because you want to reuse them. push plugs out and pop them in you start them in what's called germ nation mix. before we go i want to tress that germ nation mix is different from potting soil. potting soil pot germination mix to germ nate seeds in a seed tray. you want to get germ nation mix if you're going to do this. you want to the get germ nation mix. advantage of doing this is when i put these in the garden now, i'm going to know which are my plants and which are the weeds. so i'm not going to accidently pull them out. okay. so there it is. even the professionals have problems with the garden. that's what we learned today. main thing i want people to learn. thanks my friend.
