it's election day and we already have some results! the small town of dixville notch, new hampshire cast their votes at midnight. it's been a tradition there since 1960. according to new hampshire state law, towns with fewer than 100 registered voters can open polls at midnight on election day. "hillary clinton" won the town with 4 votes. "donald trump" got two votes. while "mitt romney" and "gary johnson" each got one vote. voters in dixville notch have correctly selected the president in the last three of four elections.

"amendment one" is also known as the solar energy bill. it ?appears to be ?pro solar, but several solar energy groups claim it's the complete opposite. the bill was
say the utilities want to pass the bill to actually ?restrict solar growth by raising costs. a spokeswoman for the group backing the bill says it will actually protect consumers. and amendment two would legalize medical marijuana in florida for those suffering from debilitating diseases. it ?failed two years ago by just a couple of percentage points. most state polls have support at more than the 60 percent that it needs for approval. critics fear it would lead to pop-up marijuana dispenseries, with ?little oversight.. say, they've changed the amendment's wording from 20-14 to tighten oversight. as election results come in, count on fox 13 to have complete election coverage... we'll have updates starting tonight at 7:00 on fox 13 news to com... on twitter... and news updates throughout the evening right here on fox 13. a pinellas county deputy is being hailed as a hero this morning after he stopped a
home when he noticed a women pulled over on the side of the skyway. she was sitting on the ledge crying with her head in her hands. the corporal then pulled over and quietly got behind her and pulled her back on to the bridge. the 52-year-old woman was upset over marriage and personal issues. she is has now been baker acted. the parents of an 18-year-old shot to death in bradenton are still looking for answers. "moriah goode's" parents say she was with a friend sunday afternoon sitting in her car on fourth street east when someone opened fire. the shooter got away. moriah's friend rushed her to the hospital, where she died. in the past, the community came out to help the teenager battle lupus, raising 30- thousand-dollars for her. moriah's mother is hoping they'll pull together again,
investigators are looking into whether the shooter was targeting someone else. we're told detectives have several leads. anyone with information is asked to call the manatee county sheriff's office. tampa police are searching for the person responsible for a shooting. it happened just before 9:30 last night on north 15th street in tampa. according to t-p-d, someone shot a 25-year-old man was shot in the stomach. they believe he may have been shot in a park in the area. he is in serious we'll bring it to you. computer outages are affecting d-m-v offices across the state. and apparently it's been happening ?repeatedly for months. the system failure caused big problems at four d-m-v offices in pasco county over the weekend. a major computer glitch crashed the d-m-v system. causing customers to wait in line several ?hours for a fix. hundreds were turned away with expired licenses and tags. those needing an updated i-d
it's the second saturday this month the system has gone down. now to some not so important election news. snapchat is hoping some fun filters will encourage people to get out and vote. as you can see walter and i had some fun with them this morning. they include fun vote sunglasses with falling ballots... a red, white and blue airhorn that spews confetti. the company says both candidates will have sponsored filters all day today as well. and snapchat's not the only social media platform getting fancy for election day. twitter has unveiled

we're learning new details about a devastating crash that killed a father and his two children and left his wife in critical condition. "donald green" and "tiffany young" were in the car with their two young children saturday when they flipped off an i-75 overpass and into the road below. family members are now saying that young said they were cut off by another driver. but witnesses say their maserati was speeding and trying to pass other cars when it lost control. investigators believe alcohol was a factor. a toxicology
a 15 and 16-year-old are charged in connection with a home invasion in lakeland. police say the two along with a 19-year-old held a 77-year old man at gunpoint... and threatened to rape his wife if the man did not hand over money. another man involved did get away. police say the robbers targeted the couple at random. thankfully, the man and woman are ?not hurt. a man with an appetite for burglary stole more than just money from a st. petersburg apartment. newly released arrest documents show "antionne david" broke into a woman's apartment last month. then he used the microwave to cook a pizza he found in the home. david was arrested last friday and charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling. more trouble for the hillsborough county public transportation commission... another taxi company is suing them... in a push to compete with uber and lyft. the owner of "west coast transportation services".... which is chaired by yellow cab company... is suing the board. they want to enter the same temporary operating
attorneys say that can't happen... they say only uber and lyft are eligible because they're litigants in an existing lawsuit. west coast filed a lawsuit on friday in response... which would seemingly make the company eligible. but the county has yet to respond. the temporary agreement is being put to a vote tomorrow. deputies in pasco county are still urging people to lock their doors after a rash of car burglaries. the crime spree, which started nearly a wk spreads across the county from neighborhoods in land o' lakes to hudson. detectives say since last wednesday they have seen 20 to 25 car break-ins. a neighbor caught the suspects on their surveillance camera. it shows them pulling up to a home in the tierra del sol subdivision and breaking into a car. they say many of these crimes could've been prevented, if

of t-i-a. reports show 80-thousand people from the u-k visited hillsborough county last year... so it's easily the bay's largest tourist market. a developer and the city of st. petersburg are at odds over plans to redevelop a block that has become iconic to the city. mayor "rick kriseman" is ?not happy with plans to turn the block of central avenue between 2nd and 3rd street into a mid-rise tower. "tony amico" is the developer who owns the majority of the block. he's says he wants to build on already exists, which includes his restaurant caddys and the jannus live concert venue. the block is not protected historically, but the city is blocking the project, by not turning over the alley way, making development nearly impossible. amico says his proposal would generate one-and-a-half
he says the city of st. petersburg needs to come to the table and negotiate with him, or pay up. we're learning more about a pair of new restaurants on both sides of the bay. developers of the heights have signed on a new oyster bar. the heights is the area at the end of tampa's riverwalk, just past water works park. "atlantic beer and oyster" will be an outdoor restaurant there. it will be located underneath the vintage water tower on property and will have more that 70 seats. remember this is the area that also includes the old armature works building. building will include a market hall where several local restaurants have rented kiosks. and a ford's garage is coming to downtown st. petersburg, but it means bad news for rowdies fans. the restaurant will take over the space currently occupied by the rowdies den on the corner of first avenue south and second street. the new restaurant will open next summer. but ford's garage president insists the new place will still be the official gathering spot for rowdies fans. helping women who may
