the cowboys their first loss of the season. moments ago molly mcgrath caught up with the star of the second half, quarterback chris johnson. chris you have been waiting for this opportunity to really show what you can do. what was your mindset as you took the field heading into the second half? >> i mean, coach briles teaches take one shot at a time, i didn't want to make irt bigger than what it was w those guys around me, it's not very hard. i wanted to go out there and just be poised and focused and do what i hat to do. >> you mentioned your teammates, offensive line protected you well. stidham, russell showing support during the game. how much did your teammates' confidence in you help you, especially in the fourth quarter with that big run into the end zone. how did that give you confidence? >> i mean, that helped, you know, a whole bought lot. those guys on the side line, talking to me, encouraging me, we went in at halftime, they

brad, city officials and runners say they are ready. >> reporter: apparently, the weather is ready, too. beautiful evening. a good start for the race tomorrow morning at 7:00. the mayor is urging people to get here. this will be a secure own. july to go through a checkpoint. they'll begin at 5:00 o'clock in the morning again the race starts at 7:00. so if you are not through the checkpoint by the time the race starts, you'll going to get a late start. they are anticipating about 30,000 runners. 60,000 spectators expected to be here. >> whoo! >> reporter: race weekend in philly kicked off this morning with an 8k run the diss only gets longer from there. 30,000 of these heats sheads are ready to go when marathon they ares and half marathon runners begin crossing the finish line in about 10 hours from now. barricades going up overnight with roads closed around the 26-mile course. everyone will have to go through security on the parkway. it's the 22nd philly marathon and mark sullivan has reason everyone of them.
>> you don't see another major city where the mayor stands out all day and high fives everybody at the finish line it happens here in philly report he's right. he'd know. mark finished 168 marathons. earlier tonight the last of the runners arrived at the pennsylvania convention center to pick up their race bibs. terrorism threats not among their worries. >> we want to be boston strong and, you know, if you let fear ruin your life then they've run. >> we feel really safe going into tomorrow. >> no issues. >> not at all. >> reporter: the only issues runners have% veering through the last few miles of the course. susan brown ran her first philly marathon last year and she's back for more. >> i have a personal haven't date t i need to find if you can i do this year than last year. >> reporter: the marathon raises money for 34 charities like the alzheimer's association. they hope to bring in a total a million dollars. running for a good cause and for good health think a marathon is out of the your league? olympian bill rogers whose won the boston and new york
