lines. we will give you a for instance. here we are on one of the main drags through our area west chester pike on the main road and wires down and a lot of people cannot get their vehicles because it is not safe because wires draped over them. we saw a poor woman in north jersey, electrocuted when a fire came down, on her car in the storm and she made the mistake of getting out of her car and get electrocuted. these people not able to get to their cars just yet or not even able to drive up to their road, vernon road. whole road is taped off because that this wire came down from the pole we started out and down to the next pole across vernon road. so the whole road is tape off and houses look awfully dark here the first here or so. good news streetlights are on and look at west chester pike the green lights are all lit and that tells you that traffic is flowing good after a storm. great work by peco. they have been working all night, we have been passing trucks, tree trucks, and all

of the four power companies, pse and g in south jersey, ac electric and hardest hit in the storm, del marva suffering through a sweltering night with no air conditioning. good news no one was hurt in this storm despite having crashing down around them. throwing really crashed down on people, while they were in these cars or in any businesses or homes, lauren. >> steve keeley, thanks very much. in wilkes barre a a jail is under will be down a corrections officer and inmate are dead after an altercation at luzerne county correctional facility last night. authorities are not saying what led to that incident or how the two even died. the inmate was in jail for not registering as a sex offender. in north philadelphia high levels of the carbon monoxide forced evacuation of the building and apartments there. emergency crews testing air inside the building on the 1700 block of cecil b. moore avenue around 3:30 this morning. it houses several apartments, restaurant and a lounge. crews opened all of the doors

and windows and tried to ventilate that building. no one was hurt there. today 1,000 philadelphia international airport workers are set to demonstrate at the airport demanding better pay and better working conditions. security officers, baggage hand letters, and other workers will be on the picket line. they are pushing for a 15-dollar minimum wage and better training. workers will be join by community supporters, elected officials and clergy demanding phl subcontractors treat their workers fairly. philadelphia international could be forced to finding temporary workers for the upcoming dnc. all eyes are on cleveland as republican national convention is underway. on day one some delegates challenge donald trump's nomination. caroline joins us live from cleveland with a look at the details there, good morning to you. >> guy morning, lauren. day one of the republican national convention, definitely has had some controversy.

things have calmed down a lot since thunderstorms came through yesterday, as we told you yesterday, it was a cold front so as a result of this mess, that happened, right in the middle of the afternoon and then another round in the evening we will have comfortable conditions for a couple of days but while it is going on we have 64 miles an hour wind gusts recorded in dewey beach, delaware and a wind gust of 62 miles an hour

in allentown and pretty, all tropical storm, force wind gusts, even in new castle delaware. 53 miles an hour. so those wind got nasty, lot of lightening, a lot of clean up that will be going on today but we have some left over clouds this morning, we just don't see anything else in the way of precipitation for a couple days. now we have to get rid of the muggies. it is happening north and west of us, 60 in mount pocono. sixty-seven in lancaster. sixty-seven in reading. still in the muggy mid 07's in wildwood and millville. 71 degrees in wilmington. we will see our comfort level start to change. we will watch wind direction, arrows next to the wind speed, the wind starts coming out of the northwest it starts to get a little bit more comfortable and that is what is happening in wilmington delaware right now. let keep track of heat wave number three, one, two, three, four, five days as of yesterday and yesterday was hot before those thunderstorms hit. we got all the way up to 96 degrees.

watson attack him and hit him in the head with the rock. another officer ended up helping davis arrest watson but ended up with a broken sternum. he is now at the paoli hospital. the prosecutors charged him with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and host of other charges. now to baltimore where a third police officer has been acquitted of all charges in the freddie gray dose case. a judge rule that the prosecution failed to prove baltimore police lieutenant brian wright intentionally hurt freddie gray. maryland's governor is speaking out saying to the point of more officer trials. larry hogan told washington post quote it is waste of time, money adding that is a court system to decide. in the baton rouge, louisiana authorities are shining shore light on this man 29 year-old gavin long from kansas city. investigators say marine veteran shot and killed two police officers and sheriff deputies, as he died a short time later during a shoot-out with authorities.
