to the polls. if there is an indication that there is push back from the public at large, specifically, from likely voters... >> doug is freezing up unfortunately but we will see, election day november 8th, stay tuned but i think we hear in the democratic society want to hear answers from both trump and hillary. >> 7:15. a tribute to the victims of the devastating earthquake in italy. >> world trade center was lit up in the colors of the italian flag. take a look, green, white and red from the iconic land mark to honor those who lost their lives as well as to show support for survivors. wednesday's earthquake killed at least 250 people in that area and nearby towns. after shocks continue to add to their despair and anxiety. rescue crews are using sniffer dogs to search through ruins. they are not giving up hope that more survivors may be found trapped. some 200 people have been pulled alive from the ruble in the past few days but it has been difficult because they keep having after shock. whenever they feel tremor or after shocks they are asked to
leave the area, and make sure nothing can happen and then start all over again. it has been very difficult there. >> lets go to central indiana for this. resident are recovering after a series of tornado ripped through the region. storms did major damage. the this is kokomo indiana where star bucks was leveled by a tornado wednesday. just one of the dozens in the state, indiana governor and republican vice-presidential nominee mike pence toured destruction yesterday. national weather service is reporting a has i have super cell then are storm produced eight tornado with winds of 165 miles an hour. authorities say storm injured about a dozen people. take a look at the mess that played out in phoenix, arizona on streets last night. do you see sinkhole that opened up around 7:00 trapping a city bus. good news no passengers were on board at the time but look at that bus just sinking there. >> oh, hand. >> 7:16. orlando florida two hospitals treated victims of the pulse

except, when employed in the households, of a white caucasian, or owner, and, and rule has been in place since 1961, which was during the nation's civil rights who. according to the document mandate was put in place because of a belief that allowing non-whites would lower the rot values. >> you got to be kidding me. that is ridiculous. >> it is really awful. it is racist, terrible. >> it is not the world that we want our kids to grow up in. >> reporter: family didn't learn have the rule until they were signing the closing documents, some people who already there were not aware of the rule. others didn't give it too much weight because the rule is in the not enforced. non-white does live there foster's have taken to the community networking site next door.com to raise awareness about the the racist restrictions. a manager says action will be taken to have that clause removed since it violates, federal law now, and so problem solved but people finding out about this are
still so outrage chris and alex that this was even in writing, still to this day. >> all right. so civil rights act was enacted in what 1965, lbj signed tonight to law so it may put this in place in 61. so four years before that became federal law. but it is actually in writing still is shock to go me. >> i know, i know. >> no one is reading the contract are or the rules. >> it is not enforced, thank goodness that would be a whole different story. >> thanks, lauren. sue serio, lets talk weather, it is getting hot out there. >> it is getting out of there, no, keep your clothes on. not too many of them. even diamond the doggies wearing clothes today. you will see. that it is #national dog day. diamond is finishing up her meteorology studies so i thought she could help us out. take a lot at rain. do you see that diamond that is a cold front coming through later today but ahead of that
front we have just a couple of showers moving through the area that pop up and go away quickly and we just had a little bit of green in the city but we have not seen any rain just yet in olde city. so most of that is in the ross zest of dissipating. as we continue to move south, we will see one stray shower down there in middletown ship in southern new jersey and as we see future cast included cover will increase, diamond at 2:00 in the afternoon but we don't see any rain. if you get a stray shower it will be between four and 6:00 p.m. with the rain cold front coming through but before all that happens we will get to a high of, ready, diamond, 92 degrees. you have a fur coat on and everything. 90 degrees possible for tomorrow and then for sunday, and then if we get to that 90 both days we will have bob kelly heat wave number six. diamond studying traffic as well as meteorology. >> i thought i was out of the
job when i walk in here this morning. look who was in my chair, my desk, diamond was all nice and comfortable in my chair, ready to start the day, this morning at about 3:30. so she had been hanging out with us in the studio all morning long. >> what the heck, come on here, 7:21. we will have construction on i-95 all this weekend, over girard avenue and also at cottman avenue. look at her a little ham. she likes the tv. i think she can see herself in the monitor here too. here's a live look at 295 with a little sun glare over in jersey. they cleared out that accident at black horse pike. another one right behind me atwood haven road just off of knights road. good morning to the benjamin franklin bridge coming into downtown philadelphia no problems or delays at the all. it is a friday. probably last big weekend for a lot of folks to hit the

have been one of those people. i spent mess of my time watching netflix i well cut the cord and just totally do netflix. >> you are most happy like most people are happy when you have expensive pay tv cable bill every month, and hul. and netflix and amazon and all of the streaming sites that your heart desires. i guess like the options, you know, you don't want to ever feel like you cannot have something, you don't have access to a program. it comes from a j.d. power survey. >> it want options. >> do you think we will see maybe cable companies trying to work together with netflix and have a bundle package. >> yeah, you would think so many steps even to get something like sports, you know, al cart so you don't need that hefty bill because you can pick and choose and put them in a certain package. we are seeing changes but slowly. to help the cord cutters i suppose to give them a cheaper option for a cable bill.
>> i don't think we will see them coming together, netflix is headaching enough money on its own. at least we're work to go pay for our netflix and cable bills but it sound like a lot of people even though they have a job and they go to work, you can leave this right now, they would take this option. >> there is a new survey out that says half people out there are looking for a new job. so these are the numbers, 52 per event is say we are opened to leaving and 44 percent and this is disturbing and good number. they are saying they are actively looking for work which means they are not happy where they are. they are under paid or under appreciated. but they are also confident that 44 percent said they can get hired by another company. so, the message for bosses is most likely your employees are not happy and you might want to do something about that. sometimes best thing you can does add perks or benefits or add some to the pay chick.
>> we should say don't take me for granted boss because i'm looking right now. >> yes, these numbers are very high actually but it the is a good sign for the job market our confidence in the ability to find an open position and our skill set being strong enough we think we will get hired. >> confidence is key. we know you are confident woman lauren. >> yes. >> have have a great weekend. >> we will see you monday, alex. >> 7:29. collapse at a snoop dog concert that leaves dozens injury. lawsuit has you this been filed, so for these concert goers there when railing fell look at that can they really get money from it bb and t pavilion, snoop dog, wiz khalifa. what happens to you when you go to the concert and live show and something happens could you get money for it we will discuss.
i'm hillary clinton, and i approve this message. michael hayden: if he governs consistent with some of the things he said as a candidate, i would be very frightened. gillian turner: he's been talking about the option of using a nuclear weapon against our western european allies. max boot: this is not somebody who should be handed the nuclear codes. charles krauthammer: you have to ask yourself, do i want a person of that temperament controlling the nuclear codes? and as of now, i'd have to say no. [bill o'reilly sighs]
it is 7:30. >> hi. >> it is friday. >>
it is a friday. everyone has sort of their week up plans in order. >> weather will not mess up your weekend. it the is national dog day. here's muggy the dog who would have been in the picture anyway because it is muggy out and national cherry pop sickle day so bus stop buddy has it already, it will drop down his arm in a minute. it is warm, muggy with
temperatures in the 70's here and at the shore. we are seeing a stray shower at the shore right now showing up on radar and one up near trenton as well. that has been the case all morning long but not a big deal and it won't be. so right now in philadelphia we are at 77 muggy degrees. 84 percent relative humidity. we have a breeze at 11 miles an hour. it was warmer yesterday at 87 degrees. today in the 90's with 92 as a high. we will be in the 07's tonight with the cold front coming through later on. rest of the weekend forecast is coming right up, bob kelly. >> good morning. 7:32. tgif. we are off to a good start. in problems on the blue route 476 rolling south out of mid county down toward schuylkill. friday mornings are lighter then the other four days of the week. ben franklin, in problems just yet coming into downtown philadelphia. i have got down wires and thorndale along route 30, right at lincoln highway, so you may want to use bypass
this morning rolling through downingtown, and then it is weekend trolley blitz, septa doing some work in the tunnel beginning tonight through monday morning. all of the trolley lines are terminating at 40th and market and from there market frankford line best bet in and out of the center city. chris and alex back to you. >> snoop dog and wiz khalifa are sued by concert goers injured during this, the concert in camden, early this month, at least 40 people were hurt when the crowd barrier collapsed, one victim suffered a fractured spine, 17 people, brought the suit against both wrappers and live nation. they say snoop and wiz yelled at folks to come on down to the stage and that led to a stampede and then the collapse. >> joining us is attorney heather hanson. >> good morning, alex. >> we have different people
sued here. >> yes. >> we have the venue bb and t. >> that is right. >> promoters, live nation. >> right. >> and wiz khalifa and snoop dog. >> yes. >> let's start then with the venue. >> argument against the venue is this. there was a railing that should have arguablely stopped the stampede of people. railing had been just fix. they will allege that the railing was refixed in a bad way and allowed these people to fall down. it wouldn't have happened if the railing was not in shoddy manner. >> the attorneys for about 17 members, say it is failure in planning and execution. you had a second stage. there wasn't enough barricades to keep the crowd at bay. this should be on you. >> that is a big part. communication will be a big part of this case. stoop dog and his people communicate with the venue and with live nation who planned the whole thing to headache sure that this was a safe as it could be. all of those different people should have been talking to one another, communicating and that will be a big part of the
case. >> as you look at this, right, just on the face of it, when you go to the concert you expect a crowd. you expect that the place you are standing would in fact be safe. difference would be at a beach party, noon dual there and says everybody come out on the balcony and jump up and down. that balcony was in the built for crowd of people. it is built for several people perhaps. >> that is same thing here. that is the defense will make. we are not meant to protect against people rushing the stage. snoop should not be asking people to rush the stage. in addition if snoop told you to, i don't know, jump off a bridge would you do it? there is some responsibility for the people as well. in addition one of the defenses will be i imagined that perhaps some people in this crowd had been indulging in mood altering substances and if they were they were not in the right mind to listen to instructions. >> are you taking the high road. >> it sound like snoop might
be liable. he said quote everybody in the bleep, bring your bleep down here and that is when everybody ran down and started crowding. toes that mean because he said that, even though he was just talking, and singing. >> artists are on the hook here. what will happies artist will point at venue and say they should have had a better railing. venue will point at artist. and the plaintiffs, people who were hurt ultimately win. when everybody is blaming each other somebody is obviously to blame. >> what about the promoter where does live nation come to it. they are not really in it. this is an atmosphere that will be here. this is how many people. >> that is their job. >> their job is communication. >> you saw something similar sugarland had a concert, a number of people were killed and hurt after a big storm. that case settled for multi millions of dollars. >> if you have the venue an pro hotter and artist all kind of fighting among each other, doesn't the plaintiff win. >> absolutely that is when it
wasn't my fault his fault. in front of the jury which this won't get in front of the jury, well, they will say somebody messed up. split it up. >> how much. >> that sugar land case involves death but that was 40 million-dollar. >> what does this mean quickly for us because a lot of people, that is great thing about philly there is always concerts, live music venue. if i pay money. you know on the back of the particular. there is all this fine print. >> in one reads. >> you have a reasonable expectation to be safe. you expect them not to be negligent. in a situation like this, somebody did something that caused this accident and i think that ultimately somebody will pay. >> we will leave it at this, there is one person here or group of people not mentioned, it could be the venue end uptaking the brunt of this they will turn it then to the contractor who built the railing. >> that is right, they may bring them into this suit that just started this week. a lot to be said good there could be five defendants we're talking about. >> and they headache it
reallies i for love. >> we will have you back as this case progresses. >> all right. >> 7:37. >> speaking of security in a much different way could your security be at risk when it comes tour iphone. what just happened today and what you need to be aware of. it is national dog day keep sending us your picks. we will show you some soon. use the #fox 29 good day. we have lots of great picks. we will show them to you. we are working on it. just keep sending them in and we will show them to you.

good morning everybody. we're dealing with the reverse commute. more people heading out of town westbound from the boulevard out towards belmont avenue then we have inbound. that is a certainly sign of a friday, friday mornings are usually, some unusual traffic patterns, folks maybe taking that personal day, moving to the shore on a thursday that it, maybe go to the shore earlier, maybe up to the poconos, live look at ben franklin bridge, no problems at all coming into downtown. in thorndale just outside downingtown some down wires, just cleared out of the way here along lincoln highway so we are good to go there. weekend trolley blitz, septa will do it again, trolley lines terminating at 40th and market and doing some track work within the tunnel here in center city. terminate at 40th and market and then from there the market frankford line will take you in and out of downtown. that starts tonight through early, early, on monday morning. what is weather going to be like for work crews and your
trip to the beach and pocono? sue has it in 15 seconds. it looks like the weather will not mess up your weekend too much but because of the tropical storm gaston, expect to strengthen not only back to a category one but to a category two hurricane we should watch out for those rip currents this weekend at the shore. out in the middle of the ocean but it will be strong enough to possibly effect us. all this rain that our tropical wave which still has not gotten a name yet we will keep an eye on that because as we can see that could affect the gulf of mexico by holiday weekend and then eventually after that into september, but we just seen a few clouds on radar, nothing much to look at there. our shower down at the shore has dissipated, so as we look
at future cast it is just a matter of clouds, rest of the day, three or 4:00 we will see increase of cloud in the 90's and then maybe a stray shower or two at the shore before the day is through and that is all we have for the weekend. so it is, high and dry for the last week even of august. ninety-two today. if we make it to 90 both saturday and sunday we will get another heat wave. it gets unsettled alex and chris by middle of next week. >> all right. thanks so much, sue. the it is time for our school supply drive we have been talking about all week. i'm very excited. grab your five new back to school item and head to clementon park to get a discount on admission day this kicks off in ten minutes. quincy harris is already there. hi there, q. >> i'm pretty excited. all you have to do is come down clementon park, you bring five new, school supplies and get in $15 before 10:00 a.m. here at clementon park. we have united way on board here. how are you doing.

will scare the dog and because dogs tend to sleep deeper then humans, and you don't want to start will will them awake. the other thing that is important that people don't do a lot is you have to be consistent with your dog. dogs love routines. people think okay i can wake up at ten and walk them at ten in the morning. the dog like consistency and security in their life. if you wake up at 6:00 in the morning during the week you should kind of wake up at 6:00 k them and feed them, keep them on a feeding schedule be very consist ten. just like raising a child. >> now these dogs are up for a toppings. >> they are from the wilmington humane society in bensalem. they are two beautiful dogs. they are adoptable dogs. adopting a dog saves a life and gives them a forever home and it is just, you are really saving someone's life and you

white genocide p.m. trump took this fringe bigot, with a few dozen followers, and spread his message to 11 million people. >> it is the oldest play in the democratic play book. when democratic policies fail, they are left with only this one tired argument. you are racist, you are racist, you are racist. >> joining us from washington d.c. is chris wallace, so chris, has rhetoric evolved into this when we have real issues going on like trump easing off a little bit on his immigration reform ideas and then clinton e-mail scandal where she still refuses to talk to reporters about it. >> yeah, look, this is pretty amazing to have both of them accusing the other of being a racist and bigot and we are only in august. we have not even gotten to labor day yet traditional
beginning of the presidential campaigns. you are talking here, chris about two candidates who are historically unpopular, have high unfavorable numbers and political play book says if you are unpopular you have to make the other candidate even more distasteful. we knew this would be a race to the bottom but we didn't know would it happen quite this quickly. it is something. we will talk on sunday to donald trump's third campaign manager kelly ann conway, very experienced pol store and strategies, he has, yesterday to the contrary notwithstanding been a pretty discipline candidate the last couple weeks reading speeches off the prompter focusing on hillary clinton and not putting himself in fight with gold star families et cetera into the story but it is interesting to see them getting to this point this quickly in the campaign. >> where does it go from here with the hillary clinton side of things. she was in reno, nevada and
she was pushed on this e-mail controversy that continues to brew and more toys come from wikileaks. when will her feet be put to the fair by answering questions in a real news conference. >> inasmuch as she has been able to put off a news conference, she has done plenty of interviews including with "fox news" sunday at the end of the july but a news conference where you take all questions and you don't know who will be asking the next one it has been what 260 days, better part of a year. there is no subpoena power if she doesn't want to hold a news conference, people will complain about it but she apparently has decided it is to her advantage not to do that. i would be very surprised if she were to do it now because it would create such publicity, frankly when lou bag at the big news conference she held at u.n. when whole story about private e-mails broke in march 2015 she didn't do particularly well and a lot
of the things that she said at that time like there was no classified material turned out not to be true. >> a lot to talk b we will see you sunday morning at 9:00 this morning gary johnson libertarian candidate on there as well and chris, thanks so much for your time. we appreciate it. >> thanks, chris. >> ryan lochte drama continues, new charges against the swimmer while one company gives him another chance, next with tmz.
i'm hillary clinton and i approve this message. there's a race going on right now. the world's
clean energy super power's either going to be germany, china, or us. and i'm going to make sure it's us. from 500 million solar panels installed by the end of my first term, to precision manufacturing. we'll beat the competition and create new high wage jobs. we can do this, millions of jobs right here in america. that's my plan.
ever since the lochte gate i was worried for the guy. endorsements are dropped left and right. but now they should not worry about him dax holt because it sound like he will be just fine. he has a new endorsement deal, really? >> well, it does hurt to lose speedo and other ones but someone is coming to his corner a and that is pine brothers throat lozenge company. their motto is forgiving your throat so they are taking that motto one step further and saying not everyone, everyone makes mistakes the not everyone has to do a public level like that and they are confident that ryan lochte is a good person. he spends a lot of time in
donating his time to charities and that they are like we want to give him a second chance by making him our sponsor. that means he will do print ads, commercials, getting a paycheck. good for him, a start, maybe some other sponsors will join in on that and have him back. >> print ads are perfect, media gets dicey for him. >> yes. >> he starts opening up his how the. >> he gets to open up some mouth and put a throat lozenge in there. >> i don't know. >> here's the thing, lose to the whole scandal and campaign will make it funny or stay away from it completely. >> i mean if it is, you know, the forgiving thing maybe they will. i doubt it though. i think they will focus the on the throat lozenge. >> let's be honest america can for get. we will see what happens. >> amber heard and johnny dep now that they have an agreement. she will donate seven million-dollar to charity. is johnny not paying the right way, what is going on here.
>> i thought this would be done. i thought because they had done their settlement, agreed to pay her seven million-dollar, she would turnaround and give that seven million-dollar to two charities, aclu and children's hospital. well, she's still not happy. he is giving honey trekly on her behalf. she said and put on it a statement he is happy about being able to donate this honey and she goes okay if you want to donate money then double it and do 14 million-dollar to these charities because she says that because it is coming from him he is using that as a write off. she feels that is not fair that it should be the entire seven million-dollar that is going to the charity and that he is getting some kind of write off for himself. >> does that have to be settled in court. >> that is the settlement. i don't know if these two will ever, ever get along.
>> nastier by the day. >> we will see. >> let's talk about j lo and casper smart. they have been together for a while, since 2011. now are they really done. >> it has been a long time. >> they are done for now. you have to keep in mind these two have broken up and got back together quite a few times. it is their thing. latest break up was over her wanting him to get to a charity event with her in the hamptons. he wanted to go to ufc202 and she did not appreciate that so she broke it off. i guess he is still in denial thinking we will get back together like we always do. she's saying no, i have moved on. i still see them getting back together. >> would you take ufc after spending time with casper. >> that is not too smart. >> little party or ufc202. >> seriously.
>> look where it got him good after that fight she should have been like you were right you saw a great fight, i forgive you let's move on. >> keep dreaming. >> this is for charity, dax, charity. >> she can do that by herself, she doesn't need him there for it. >> always good to talk with you. have a great weekend. >> see you. >> thanks, guys. >> can't wait to watch tmz live. >> best show. >> i love the guy that comes on and tracks the things. >> that is other tmz live. tmz live is a talk show they give you the fact. >> they sit mr. and talk. >> it is not just sitting there, it is fantastic. >> voice guy is the evening one. >> mike loves that guy too. >> 8:50. passing up millions would you do that katie le decky she turns down huge endorsement deals. you will want to hear why she isn't taking money thrown at her. i want to ask you would you do this too.
>> what we would like to you do is come to our school supply drive right there at clementon park and splash world. >> see through. we will there from eight to 10:00 a.m. bring some school supplies. we want to wish a happy, happy birthday to jeffery, who turns eight years old today. he is son of tracie, one of our co-workers here at the station. happy birthday. great photo.
for senate, a clear difference. katie mcginty:
for background checks, for banning assault weapons, and banning high-capacity ammunition clips. and pat toomey? against an assault weapons ban and against banning high capacity ammo clips like those used in the orlando massacre. listen to pat toomey brag: "i have had a perfect record with the nra." pat toomey gets an "a" from the nra. he's not for you. senate majority pac is responsible for the content of this advertising.
kind of like this look. i'm calling it the "name your price tool" phase. whatever. it is 8:54. live look at an accident scene here in the tunnels under 30th street station, it is the westbound schuylkill expressway kind of peeking through the girders here so leaving south philly, coming into center city, the left
lane is block. it looks like five cars all together on that westbound schuylkill at 30th street. no problems coming in from new jersey on the 42 freeway, and then keep in mind that on sunday buses will be placed to trolleys on the 11 and 36 and in villanova construction begins on route 30 lancaster avenue right there on campus so watch for delays through december, chris and alex, back to you. >> boys will be boys, right. >> but they don't have to play sports, why one mom wants to you stop asking her son about his athletic a built. natalie port man is on good day, star is making her directing debut why her new film a tail of love and tarkness is being compared to a famous movie masterpiece.
i have to play give it to me baby. we are asking you for school supplies for school supply drive. look the at that, bus stop buddy is getting hugs. people are donating. this is great. go tout clementon park and splash world we will be there until 10:00 a.m. quincy is out there meeting and talking to people. well, good day to you. it is friday, august 26th, 2016. good morning everyone. >> good morning. it must be thirsty. >> you have been here what six hours. >> going on hour six which is fun, good way to round off the week. >> tgif. >> thank you dear. >> big plans this weekend. >> we're moving, i will be doing packing. >> one neighborhood over. >> how nice. >> that is the pain. you will move a block and you still to have get it a block. >> you have been in boxing but we can't find toothpaste. >> does that mean you didn't
brush your teeth this morning. >> we cut the tube and you open it up and you squeeze it out like that. >> i to that all the time. >> absolutely. >> i hate moving in general. it is the worst. so stressful. >> and then you break something including your back but you still to have move the couch and then you have three sons, none of them are any help at all they are too young. >> they are helping unpack, the toys that have been pack. i packed them all up and they are unagoing. >> more work. >> good luck with that. >> well, mom jeans are cool again. and now they are headaching a come back. the what else. well, fall fashion trend. we will get you ready for going back to school shopping. what you need to take out right now. >> natalie portman is live on good day she's making her directing debut why her new film a tail of lightness and darkness is being compared to a famous movie masterpiece from the early 19 on's. >>
