route one right between chester, delaware line, delaware county line, hello to the bennie where they have been working all night into philadelphia they have cones still up here with the right lanes coming into philadelphia , still block, until about 5:00 o'clock or so and they are still working on the vine street expressway closed both directions until 5:00 between broad street and schuylkill expressway. you know the drill off the schuylkill, use 30th, south, spring garden. down here in delco upland street bridge that goes over i-95 is closed as part of that construction project, chestnut street is way to go but gang up and back and forth from the poconos this weekend maybe for the holiday, for fathers day you'll find construction between lansdale and quakertown, for gang in cherry hill, road work on route 70 at kings highway and hoed up for septa new schedules coming into play here city, suburban and victory lines change it up on sunday but for right now buses, trains, trolleys are off to a good start. >> always love the headup.
4:04 am
4:03. following breaking news in delaware county, overnight crews battled a house fire in ardmore. they say at lee one person was injured but officials say victim suffered burns and has been transported to bryn mawr hospital, and it is still unknown how many people were inside of the house at the time of the fire but we are getting word that the fire is now out. a 22-year old man is in surgery after being shot in the chest and leg, right outside chinese restaurant on the 1,000 block of germantown avenue. police say victim was brought to einstein hospital in very critical condition, calls started to come in just before 11:30 p.m. police say suspect shot the victim with bystanders inches away, police are reviewing some private surveillance video in the area, in hopes of the finding the suspect. developing story this morning, the search will resume, later today, atlantic city in atlantic city for two different swimmers. video from yesterday as u.s. coastguard ac fire department and beach patrol comb the waters just off martin luther
4:05 am
king boulevard. we will have a live report on the missing swimmers coming up at 4:30 from at plant i can city. happening today bill cosby sexual assault trial entering its tenth day and fatigue is setting in. the dead locked jury will be back in court this morning after working late into the evening to try to reach a verdict. lets get very latest from steve keeley, steve. >> reporter: this is head shaking stuff, people probably seeing this right now saying i can't believe this, the guy holding the camera, first thing he said to me this morning was can you believe this? after the jury's we cannot reach a consensus note at 11:00 a.m. yesterday, no more notes, no more questions and no verdict for the next 10 hours and no mistrial declared either, another surprise which blew apart and blew away all of the comment taiters out here, talking and all of the station from his a retired judge to defense lawyers who all said that after that 11:00 e note that it would only be two
4:06 am
or three more hours at most, that most likely, four out of five times, similar dead locked juries all come back with another note that says we tried but we still cannot agree, and it is all over. so it seems, some major precedent being set here, at this court house in the cosby trial, with the long now way beyond dead locked note, 10 hours past, going in to a fifth day of deliberation is today and taking this trial to the actual two week length that the judge originally pre addicted. >> to go the distance. this is about him proclaiming his innocence, and we believe that he is innocent. we believe he is not guilty. i think that the jurors have shown that too. the jurors, they have, they have gone through the trial. they have done the trial over and the jury in the deliberation room and they were dead locked. you cannot get anymore fair
4:07 am
then. that we just hope they dot right thing. >> this is not a vindication of anybody and it is not the end. it is not over until it is over. >> reporter: so why is cosby's publicist pushing for a hung jury and why is a hung jury and mistrial seen as a win for defendants? because, the defendant in this case cosby walks away free, charges are dropped. they would have to be refiled, the defendant recharged before a retrial, and it is often, in sexual assault cases especially up to the victim, if they want to go ahead and go through all of this again, and then that is what usually influences the district attorney's decision most to decide, to go ahead but those who know kevin steel real well say he is a super victim's advocate and not the kind of give up, give in kind of guy. so, if there is a mistrial declared look for him and andrea constand to say let's
4:08 am
do this again. when you do it a second time you can maybe replay it, and figure out where it went wrong and improve and maybe make sure it is not a retrial the second time. we will see if we get to that. >> steve, just so you mentioned victim wants to press forward with the case if there was a mistrial. lets go to this. talking about following through. andrea constand, put out this tweet, and she is making a shot, and then the word come up on the screen, always follow through. so the theme of the whole harlem globetrotters she's seen in the courthouse shooting baskets, some think it is a income to the prosecution to try the cosby case again if there is a mistrial. so, we shall see. >> this game is always an important moment for both part toys come together, to support charity, build friendships and celebrate our national pastime let's play ball.
4:09 am
>> that is video message from president trump addressing the crowd before last night's annual congressional baseball game, at nationals park in washington d.c. the game went on for 36 hours after a shooter opened fire at g.o.p. team practice. now the game started with a moment of silence for congressman steve scalise who was supposed to be playing. then the crowd cheered as injured capitol police officer david bailey threw out the first pitch, bailey, he was on crutches, one of the two officers hurt as they brought down shooter during a gunfight as would you imagine, security very tight in and around the stadium demand for the game so high that the stadium opened an additional seating, 20,000 fans watched as players took the field. among them representative ryan costello of pennsylvania who scored on a passed ball from third and on the mound, congressman pat meehan who pitched a strike out. we caught up with a couple of our local representatives who were there to watch the game. >> we have difference of opinion but it shouldn't be
4:10 am
around violence. violence should never be a part of it. >> yesterday was an emotional day, our hearts and prayers go out to those recovering, and you know, they still have a long road ahead. >> the game did go on. in the end the democrats won the game 11-two and they are giving their trophy to congressman scalise. the event raised more than one million-dollar for charity. meantime congressman scalise remains in critical condition, although doctors say he is improving. scalise had surgery yesterday and will undergo another one today, lobbyist mike mika has been upgraded to serious condition, other two shooting victims have been released as fbi continues continue on investigate wednesday's shooting it is still believe that the shooter james hodgkinson acted as a lone gunman motivated by political beliefs. president trump's son in law jared kushner is reportedly under investigation according to the washington post report, special counsel robert muhler looking at kushner's finances and business dealings.
4:11 am
previously the powe has report that had kushner was under investigation for meetings he held with russians back in december. in the meantime president trump is blasting the washington post report that he is under investigation, for obstruction of justice. the president calling the story phony and greatest rich hunt in american political history. vice-president mike pence has reportedly hired a private lawyer to represent him, in the special counsel's russia investigation, according to the post again he hired richard cullens who served as u.s. attorney in virginia. this comes after a president trump hired his own private attorney to deal with the russia investigation. 4:11. fired up. there is one neighborhood in philadelphia not too happy this morning because of parking problems. >> the problem this time has nothing to do with parking tickets, why some people say, they have bigger concerns, here. four children, fast asleep inside of a home when it was set on fire? there was a sound, that likely

schuylkill and broad street, again, spring garden, 30th or south and then again they should be opened and out of there by 5:00. up in northeast philadelphia, roosevelt boulevard, construction at southampton road between 9:00 and 3:00 up there by armory and upland street overpass, over i-95 here is closed, so traffic using chestnut street, otherwise, kind of light volume sewed far this morning, mass transit, running with no reported delays, karen and thomas, back to you. sound good, bob. breaking news, delaware county this morning overnight crews battling a house fire in ardmore. they say at lee one person has been injured, and officials say victim suffered burns and has been transported to bryn mawr hospital. it is still unknown how many people were inside of the home at the time of the fire but, that fire is now out. jury deliberations in the bill cosby sexual assault trial are entering its fifth day, jurors are struggling to end their impasse on charges that the comedian drugged and molested andrea constand in 2004. so here we go again, steve
4:35 am
keeley. >> reporter: well, after that very unsurprising note from the jury at 11:00 a.m. yesterday that they were dead locked which didn't shock anybody what seemed very shocking and surprising was that there was no second note after that. that they were still dead locked. so no verdict. and then no mistrial declared, by the end of the day and the judge let them, justin for 10 hours, until letting them get some rest back at their hotel, just pennsylvania 9:00 p.m. so again at 9:00 a.m. today, they will head back into the deliberation room, for a fifth day. the deliberations will now take this trial to the original, two week length that this judge originally predicted before it all began but no one predicted deliberations going this long, that is for sure. >> i'm not frustrated at all because i know it is not over, so we will have to wait until we see what the jury ultimately deside. i have no doubt that there
4:36 am
will be certain members of the injury hoy will be frustrated, you know, my guess is that everybody on the jury is just a guess would like to reach a verdict. >> reporter: well, she may not be frustrated but many women that she represents, the other accusers, they are very frustrated, lot of them left in tears after that first note so, does the 10 hours after the jury's dead lock note end at progress? we will see. thomas and karen? once again, steve this morning the looming question is how many times can they come back before it is declared a mistrial? >> reporter: well they can keep coming back, you know. >> steve keeley, thanks. 4:36. philadelphia police looking for person who attacked an eight two-year old woman. camera caught what happened june 1 on tyson avenue in the cities mayfair section, but police now release ago this video. they need your help. it shows a woman following the older woman for quite a while and once they crossed the street, well, she attacks the eight two-year old, grabs the
4:37 am
purse and runs off. >> bam, she grabs that pocketbook and then old lady just wouldn't let it go and she swung her on the ground. we see her fly down on the ground. >> really is disgusting. eight two-year old woman cut up but she's doing okay physically. emotionally a different story. police have a description but very vague here, hispanic woman 5-foot five with a heavy build and shoulder length hair if you know anything about this crime, or if you can give authorities a better description, please give them a call. 4:37. we have a story developing right now, we have two missing swimmers, down the shore, it will be a busy weekend, lots of people will be going to the shore, jenny joyce there now with the very latest on this search, jenny? good morning, karen. it is press of atlantic city reporting two, 15 years old a boy and a girl here that went missing in the water, at mlkb cheer in atlantic city off kentucky avenue.
4:38 am
so apparently life guard went off-duty around 6:00 and then around 6:30 when a 15 year-old girl was caught under a rip current and pulled under water sky fox was over the scene as search was underway. it involved the atlantic city fire department, beach patrol and the coastguard, after four and a half hours, it was called off, it was too dark, officials are now calling this a recovery mission, that will resume, later this morning. the press of atlantic city talk with the teen's dad who was hailing the unidentify teenage male a hero for jumping into the water to try to save his daughter. neither has been found. ac mayor don guardian commented in the article sailing it was windy down here yesterday and the water was cold, and choppy, it wasn't a hot summer day that typically lures people in the water especially not when life guard are not on duty. so the ac police department, out here right now, taking a live look, just monitoring things and says that it plans to release more information about this recovery effort,
