we have two breaking news stories at noon. first the bomb threat of mclean high school forces officials to cancel classes the rest of the day. students sent to the school football county as fairfax county police comb the campus looking for the device around 8:00 this morning. no device found in no one hurt a lockdown just lifted at 4 schools in prince george's county following a shooting at greenbelt and aerospace road's. officials shut down duval high school robert goddard monastery catherine t. reed elementary and magnolia elementary is a progression. at least one person shot and police looking for two suspects and no students are. good afternoon and thanks for joining us and i'm andrea roane. new information about ronald hamilton was the suspect in the killing of a prince william county police officer ashley guindon and his wife crystal hamilton. he made his first court appearance of peggy fox is there and joins us live from prince williams county courthouse. >> reporter: you see the flag at half staff behind me at the courthouse in honor of ofr

first day of service with the prince william county police department. we learn new information about army staff sergeant ronald hamilton, 32 years old, her alleged killer. he never saw combat and has a prior assault conviction. he may have confessed to the shooting. hundreds turned out for a vigil last night to honor officer ashley guindon and the two other officers wounded and the wife who was also killed. friends of crystal hamilton attended her husband's arraignment this morning and tell us it was a troubled relationship >> so many calls of domestic violence go out and police officers respond to it as they did in this case. thankfully usually nothing like this happens. this highlights the fact that in this era it's the police officer's worst nightmare. you can't be too careful and it's very sad when this happens.>> reporter:

attorney says ronald hamilton was convicted of assault in another state in 2007. >> at that point of time he was put on a diversion program according to records for 11 months and 29 days. >> reporter: documents show hamilton admitted to the shooting saturday in statements to officers afterwards. ronald hamilton was assigned a capital defender who asked for a gag order in the case and also asked permission that ronald hamilton granted to the commonwealth attorney to see his military records would be revoked and the judge agreed and it was. reporting live. >> that was peggy fox reporting live from manassas virginia. he's being held without bond and next court appearance is april 18. a walt whitman high school sophomore remains hospitalized after a car wreck which killed both her parents and 17-year- old brother. tommy de macedo

and mother killed saturday the intersection of river and pyle road's in bethesda. his sister remains hospitalized with serious injuries. their car was traveling eastbound on river road and the other car heading westbound. the other driver in the crash also injured in montgomery county police trying to figure out who is at fault but not sing of speed played a role. prince george's county, two people report -- recovering from a shooting in upper marlboro. around 9:30 the victims were found in the 4400 block of swindon terrace. police haven't released a motive or descriptions of suspects. and traffic headaches for commuters and frustrating for residents from hyattsville. a water main broke two days ago off hamilton street and 38th avenue and part of the street still shut down as crews try to make repairs. mikea turner on the scene and has the latest. >> reporter: the work here is far from over.

they called crews down from new jersey's to carry out a special procedure and a lot of challenges here. the water for some people has been cut off for three days and residents have had enough. you woke up with no water. what was it like getting ready for your day? >> it was horrible. >> reporter: we caught up with people living in park place condominiums and their faucets still dry. wssc delivered gallons of water to people in the complex and some extra jugs left on the corner for those who need more but some say it's been rough. >> it's like survival in the woods. no water and you you have to use the restroom or something like that. >> i have to wake up at 6:00. the county gave us water and i had to heated up and take

make do, crews from new jersey were making repairs. they called an outside help for the 16 inch water main break because it required a special procedure. the pipe broke between 2 am and 3 am saturday and the impact created a sinkhole were water spewed for 10 hours. a car tied to a tow truck almost went in the whole. >> it look like an earthquake or something.>> reporter: they say crews had a hard time finding the valve to shut the water off. officials say the pipe bombing the leak was 90 years old so the age could have caused the rupture. a spokesperson said repairs will take 6 to 8 hours. mikea turner wusa9. >> they say temporary repairs were implemented to get water restored but people without it in the park place apartment complex will be conducted throughout the day and hamilton street and 38th avenue which remain closed. a top advisor to pope francis says the catholic church is made no

the wind us tracker. still seeing gusts up to 20 through 25. tomorrow morning the winds causing temperatures to cool off. upper 30s and lower 40s. it will feel on the cool side. winds pickup tuesday night ahead of next-door system. this is a little stronger and more rain for more people and temperatures take a dive during the day wednesday and stays cold thursday and into friday. through tomorrow morning no problems on the drive-in and tomorrow will be great. lots of sunshine. after the sunset and drive home we will seize showers arrive. here the showers through the mountains tuesday night and wednesday morning. before the morning rush wednesday we get rid of the rain.
