time for my family". reynolds who is best known for her starring role in "singing in the rain" was listed in fair to serious condition as she was taken to the hospital. meantime, there are new details today about carrie fisher's legacy and how it will live on. the 60-year-old actress died yesterday after suffering cardiac arrest on friday. and her death came after a busy time in her career. >> can't a grand mother spend time with her

i'm averaging about five pounds a month. it's slow, but it's definitive. >> that was back in march when oprah showed off her weight loss to me. >> my pants is too big! >> check her out now, down 40 pounds and looking gorgeous on the cover of o magazine. backpacking in the grand canyon she tells us all to live big. >> i'm hoping that a year of great adventures and experiences and enjoying life. keep turning the page. >> ms. o. is definitely living her best life now, but she confessed there was a time she couldn't battle it all. back in '89 when starring on "the women of brewster's place"" >> i was killing myself because i was doing a television series in addition to doing the oprah show. i would finish the oprah show in the afternoon and then start the day acting and executive producing on "brewster place." i just about collapsed from exhaustion from trying to do both.
>> when you're trying to jam too much into it, you're not giving enough of yourself to each. >> this year oprah made her return to acting in green leaf and boy, it is deliciously new drama on tv. >> i am not going to be your scapegoat. you brought this on yourself! >> she owns a blues club. >> and she has a bar and had a drinking problem and all of the things that play against type for me, and she uses the [ bleep ] a couple of times, and so -- >> is that hard for you to spit out [ bleep ]. >> not really. i can [ bleep ]. >> i used it once and stedman said i'm not going to stand here and listen to that kind of language. i wasn't even talking to him. stedman doesn't curse ever. ever! ever! >> maybe that's the secret to them being together so long. 30 years this year to be exact. oprah has certainly been an inspiration to millions of women so i know how proud she would be for shannen doherty and the
90210 star has been so brave in the way she shared her cancer battle and when she got the frightening news that her breast cancer had spread she opened up to our jennifer pirro. >> my hair was really matted like dread locks, and i went to try to brush it out and it just fell out, and i was holding on to just huge clumps of my hair my mom crying, saying, like, my hair! my hair! my hair! >> just grab the kitchen scissors and -- my mom was, like, wait, wait, wait. she put it in the ponytail and she just chopped it off. >> last month shannen began her first round of radiation therapy which she admits is frightening, but throughout her cancer battle the former "90210" star has been getting support including sarah
>> and then there is her squad including husband kurt and her mom. reminding us all that no matter what the challenge, you've got to keep dancing. >> you and your mom seem like you're so close. she's your best friend. >> thank god. thank god she's there. thank god we're so close, and we have such a good relationship, and i know it affects her, and i know that -- she's so strong. my mom is, you know, like, she's a steel magnolia. she's a southern girl. she'll force-feed me. >> what has the worst day been for you so far? >> i think the worst day was the confirmation that i had cancer. >> after my first treatment as i was in bed and i literally and i am so weak that i couldn't eat and couldn't drink, and my husband sat on the bed, and he was crying saying, please,
sustain llke this, shannen and that's when he picked me up and said i don't want to go to the doc and he picked me up and put me in the car. my mom was right there with him, and watching that -- watching your family be so affected, that's a rough day. >> what's one message that you have for your fans out there or for anyone going through something like this? >> stay strong, have faith and really lean on the people that love you and support you. embrace the good and try to stay positive and know that i'm here with you. >> and we are here with you, shannen. thank you so much for sharing your journey with not only women in the united states, but around the world. i think you've helped so many people. >> cameron matheson with his favorite interview of 2016, and as you can see behind it, it's clearly ellen degeneres. >> she had another incredible year in finding dory.

vacation three months before mariah was blind sided by a breakup announcement last october. >> how are you planning a wedding during all of this? >> it's really hard to do all of these things and really do it right. it's the surprise. let's just put it like that. >> we've been right there for all of the relationship ups and downs. in april james hopped on his jet and flew to paris just to surprise mariah and watch her perform. >> he's a great surpriser and jump as onne pla p andow. pow. i love that. >> do you want some champagne? >> i'd love some champagne. >> it's my third wedding. whatever. >> i don't mean, whatever, obviously, i've been married and so has he. it's, like, we're both just, like, normal about it. >> and then all of this happened. kevin also gave back. he helped renovate a bedroom for 11-year-old jacob who is battling leukemia. >> oh, man! jacob just broke down a little bit and almost made me cry. what's up, man? how are you doing? you like it? yeah. thank you, once again, "e.t." there is no me without you. you guys know how to do it. you do it big all the time. >> i love kevin, i really do. but i just want to point out that that man made nearly $90 million in 12 months and did not buy me one single dinner. >> that's kind of sad. >> kevin, why don't you take him to dinner so he'll stop talking about
