dead. nischelle turner is in vegas and joining us. nischelle? >> reporter: well, nancy, right here behind me is the mandalay bay hotel and casino. at 10:08 p.m. last night, gunfire broke out from the 32nd floor, targeting 22,000 people in attendance at the route 91 harvest country music festival. today, a nation mourns what has become the deadliest mass shooting in modern american history.
