now let's get to that breaking news overseas. we'll start with the newest information coming out of turkey. officials say a group of kurdish rebels set off a car bomb and then attacked people with a rocket launcher. the assault killed at least six people, and hurt dozens of others. they say the rebels targeted a police station. now to indonesia where the police chief in jakarta says isis is responsible for a terror attack that killed seven people. that includes four attackers. a news agency affiliated

"targeted foreigners and security forces tasked with protecting them." witnesses say they saw three suicide bombers explode inside a starbucks. another witness saw two gunmen attack a police post nearby. police in indonesian say the attackers imitated "terror actions" in paris. developing right now in portsmouth, police say a woman is in the hospital fighting for her life after someone broke into her home and shot her. police say the shooting happened last night on queen street. that's near london boulevard and martin luther king freeway. rico bush has been working to gather more information from police on the investigation. he's live at the police department. rico, what can you tell us? brandi, police say they are still searching for three suspects, who sped off from the home after the shooting last night. they want to question them and found out why they did it. police say at least one of the suspects shot the

during a home invasion on queen street around 8-30 last night. investigators say a bullet hit her in the torso. paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital with serious injuries, but overnight police listed her in critical condition. detectives have not said if the suspects took anything from the home officers want any witnesses to come forward if they know anything. they say someone saw the men getting into a vehicle before leaving the scene. police say two minutes after the first shooting, someone fired shots into another home on the same street. people were inside the home at the time, but no one was hurt. officers have not said if the two shootings are related. live in portsmouth, rico bush, 10 on your side. that wasn't the only shooting last night in hampton roads. about half an hour later,

got a call about a teenager shot on 18th street and ivy avenue. investigators say someone shot the 17- year-old in the back. paramedics took him to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. we are working to find out more details from police. and about 30 minutes after the newport news shooting, hampton police got a call about a man shot on martha lee drive. investigators say he had several gunshot wounds, but was stable when he went to the hospital. in all of these shootings, police do not have any suspect information. that's why they need your help. if you saw something, or know something about any of these incidents, call the crime line. disturbing new details about the gunman who killed three people outside a planned parenthood facility. ahead, what he had to say to a television station about the for when he robbed this

now faces. presidential candidates will square-off in another debate. fox business network is hosting it, and will focus on economic, domestic, and international policy issues. the main debate starts at 9:00, the undercard one is at 6:00. it will be held in south carolina, one of the key early voting states. this debate, and another one at the end of the month, are the last two before the iowa caucuses on february 1st. top republican officials started to prepare for a contested convention. it's possible none of the candidates will win enough delegates to secure the party's nomination. a memeber of the republican national committe is holding a private meeting today to come up with contigency plans. the party is deeply divided right now between establishment candidates and those outside of it - namely donald trump and ted

we have new information deadly theater shooting in louisiana. police released documents from his journal. they showed he praised the gunman in the south carolina massacre that killed nine black churchgoers. the journal also reveal his hatred for the government, news, and miniorities. you first heard about when police say he started shooting inside a investigators say he killed two women and hurt nine others before turning the gun on himself. there's also new information about the deadly shooting outside a colorado planned parenthood. gunman, robert dear, told a t-v station the shooting was a spur-of-the-moment act. he also said he believes f-b-i agents were following him the morning of the shooting and that agents tipped off the facility. dear said quote -- "when i busted in that door on the side, all the people were gone." three people died in the november 27th shooting, including a police officer.

about a house in ohio that exploded into flames and killed a family of four. investigators now believe someone intentionally started it. "our neighbor's house just blew up, its on fire right now." "i heard this boom and now im seeing orange flames." we first told you about this fire as breaking news tuesday. investigators say the fire started in the first floor hallway. neighbors say they are not surprised it's arson. :55 - 1:14 "no, there's no surprise by the intensity of that fire that night we knew right away it wasnt any natural gas explosion. "it had to be five minutes before i came outside and the whole house, i mean the roof was burning top to, you know the whole thing was caving in already." firefighters found the body of the mother and her two daughters ages 8 and 12, on the first floor of the home. they found the father's body near the back of the house. new this morning, an

a lot of money when he tried to rob an indiana store. police say that's thanks in part to the clerk who scolded the robber. :06 - :08 "i've never seen anything like this." surveillance video the robber pointing a gun at the clerk. police say despite that, the clerk shamed the robber, and told him what he was doing was wrong. fillenwarth/asst. chief greenwood police "he's telling him to get out!" "and now he's lecturing him. he's pointing his finger, like a parent would." butt to :35 - :40 "look at him, he's telling him, you get back out, you don't belong here." the robber is persistent, and even tries to open the register himself. for about six minutes the two argue, before the robber leaves. he only got away with a few dollars. police say the clerk is lucky to be alive. new this morning u-s customs and border protection officers intercepted nearly three-thousand pounds of

shipment of fresh carrots. take a look - officers stopped a trailer and found at least two truck-fulls of what looked like carrots coming from mexico into texas. someone packaged and made the marijuana to look like carrots. then they were spread out among bags of real carrots. the officers say the drugs are valued at about 500-thousand dollars. back here in hampton roads, police met with residents about body cameras and the best way to use them. the virginia beach police say they are ready to join other southside departments with the new equipment. residents at last night's meeting mostly asked questions about when the officers will turn the cameras on and off, and whether or not they will be able to play video back before filing a report. they also asked how long the department will keep the video. if it's part of an active investigation, by law it must be saved for 75 years. however, if it's not part

u-s-led bombing campaigns. last year the country expanded it's mission to combat terrorism in syria. the australian defense minister said today there are no plans for the country to increase it's commitment. heading to italy now, where there are several reports, police arrested a suspect in an american woman's death. 35-year-old ashley olsen was an artist and living in florence. investigators found her strangled to death in her apartment. police have not named the suspect, but said they were able to indentify him from surveillance video. a feud between elected leaders in portsmouth has grown. sheriff bill watson took out a felony eluding warrant against mayor kenny wright, after the mayor refused to stop for the sheriff. the mayor turned himself in yesterday. here is his mug shot. as we told you yesterday morning, it all stems from an expired inspection sticker the sheriff found on the mayor's car. this latest incident began after the city council meeting tuesday night. the mayor's lawyer

new this morning, for the first time we're hearing from the u-s sailors detained in iran. we told you yesterday morning as breaking news, the country released all 10 sailors. the navy says the group was on two riverine boats that strayed into iran's waters. an iranian television channel showed video of the american sailors apologizing for intruding. s/ unidentified american said to be us sailors' commander :04 "it was a mistake, that was our fault, and we apologize for our mistake." fantastic while we were here. we thank you very much for your hospitality and your assistance." a u-s military official called the video pure propaganda. the u-s central command is investigating and said the video appears to be authentic, but it could not "speak to the conditions of the situation or what the crew was experiencing at the time," of the video. new this morning a 'no' from australia to the u-s. the country told the u-s it would not increase it's military commitment against isis in syria and iraq. australia has been an
