christmas time.. hyatt now says it found malicious software in about 250 of its hotels...and credit- and debit-card numbers and other information was likely stolen. it's not clear how many people could be affected. hyatt says the malware was present between july and december. if you stayed at a hyatt during those times... monitor your credit card statements and report any unauthorized charges. triple-a has released its list of the most prestigious hotels and five local hotels have made the list of four diamond hotels. the 21c museum hotel, the cincinnatian, the westin, the renaissance, and the hilton were honored. less than six percent of hotels across the country get this distinction. 7:41 am
that debt, then money from your joint account could be garnished. the simply money point: it's important you both agree on how that debt will be paid off, and how credit will be managed in your marriage. it's critically important you're both on board with the plan to get her out of this mess, and how you'll work together as a couple to stay on the straight and narrow. "i had power of attorney for my father when he was admitted to a nursing home a few years ago. he's since passed away, but the nursing home says i'm responsible for his bill, since i signed the paperwork when he was admitted. is this true?" federal law on your side nursing homes do use admission agreements to try to get a third party to agree always read the fine print carefully before you sign hire an attorney to help you federal law says nursing homes cannot require a third party to guarantee paymentin order for a resident to be admitted. but--some nursing homes try to skirt this by sneaking language into the fine print that says that whoever signs that admissions contract is

agreeing to be responsible for their loved one's bill. one big red flag that they may be trying to do thisis they ask you to sign as the "responsible party". so this is proofyou need to always read the fine print carefully before you sign somethingand ask for clarification if it's confusing. but in this casei think it's worth your while to hire an attorneyand make sure you look for one who has experience with elder law. start saving: save all dollar bills, or transfer grocery savings! a lot of people tell me they just can't save any money. so if that's youstart small. one good trickat night, take all of the dollar bills out of your wallet and put them in a jar. at the end of the weekdeposit that money in savings. ten bucks a week means $520 a year, and i bet you don't even feel it! another onemost grocery stores now print your loyalty card and coupon savings right on the receipt. so every week-- put that amount into your savings! if you save $15 a week, that's $780 a year! just ahead in our eight o'clock hour... another major concert is coming
