kara 2shot good morning, i'm kara sewell. rob 2shot and i'm rob williams. meteorologist frank marzullo joins us with a snapshot of your forecast. another cold morning with wind chill factors from zero to 8 below zero in spots. while we did see some flurries overnight the morning commute and evening commutes will be dry today with a good amount of sunshine and a high of 19 degrees so the biting cold will stick around. we are watching two chances for snow which could impact driving this week. the first arrives wednesday morning. i expect overnight lows in the mid teens tonight with snow showers developing by the second half of the commute wednesday morning

afternoon tapering flames...and the cold at this home on ravogli avenue in westwood... investigators say the woman living there fell asleep with something on the stove... she was able to get out safely...and the red cross is helping her with a place to stay this morning. suspended juvenile court judge tracie hunter is headed back to court... for another trial. she faces 8 felony counts... rob dblbx our dan wells joins us live downtown...and dan...she faces some serious jail time.. live the second trial of a suspended juvenile court judge tracie hunter convicted last year of unlawful interest in a public begins today. last october a jury found hunter guilty of a charge of unlawful interest in a public contract. she was sentenced to six months in jail but remains free while appealing. the new trial is on eight charges the first jury couldn't reach a unanimous

commissioner announced that rose would not be reinstated. a chilling 9-1-1 call apparently came too late to save a police officer's life in ohio. a woman tried to warn authorities in danville, ohio they were in danger. she claimed that her ex-boyfriend was on a mission -- to kill a cop. here's that 9-1-1 call-- my ex-boyfriend's out in camo looking to kill a cop. he's got my house keys, he's got my truck keys, he's got um guns on him. he's already beaten me and threatened to kill me. i don't know-- he's coming home, i gotta go. the call came just minutes before officer thomas cottrell was killed. his body was found behind a municipal building about 25 minutes after that call. police arrested herschel jones the third, in connection with the shooting. murder charges could be filed as early as today. a u.s. navy salvage ship is helping in the underwater search for two

three weeks from today. a health alert this morning... we're learning h-i-v screening rates are low among american teens, and young adults. the c-d-c reveals only a quarter of sexually active teens... and a third of young adults have been screened for h-i-v. in fact, researchers estimate more than 25-thousand h-i-v positive young people in the u-s are undiagnosed. experts say low screening rates among young adult males and black females are especially because they majority of new infections in people under 24. another scandal is rocking the sports world...this time in world tennis officials are denying claims of a match-fixing cover-up at the top -- including at documents reportedly allege that for years, as many as 16 players may have thrown money....and that

it's the 19th of the month...and that means we're thinking pink here at fox19.... a local breast cancer survivor says laughter is the best medicine. and her work shows just how powerful a little bit of humor can be. fox19 now's kara foxx has the story. the word cancer isn't typically a laughing matter. but cathy halloran isn't your typical survivor. when she hits the stage to perform stand up comedy, most people know her as chick. font: cathy "chick" halloran, cancer survivor, founder of 'chicks and chucks' "you have beyonce, you have maddona and you have chick." it's where her organization' chicks and chucks got its name. an organization chick has dedicated herself to, since surviving breast cancer. on january 30, she celebrates 14 years of being cancer free. "every year i'm a survivor i do something stupid and crazy. at nobodys expense but my own. chemo hurts ok, chemo sucks. but the word 'no' hurts more than anything so i'm

cathy took stand up comedy lessons and since getting that mic in her hand, has never looked back. along with st. elizabeth nurse rick terry, "he made contact with me and said, i do this, hospital. we could do a comedy thing together." performs standup for 'chicks and chucks' and to raise money for other causes. "you've done so much for so many people" after beating cancer in 2002, chick knew she had to continue helping others going through the same battle. unannounced, she marched to the st. elizabeth boss's office and made her pitch. "i said you need to hire me while you still like me. cause i'm gonna be a hemmoroid. you may night see me but i'm gonna be hanging around until you get me a job. i need to be here." two weeks later, she was in. now she works with recently diagnosed breast cancer patients, fitting them with wigs and prosthetics.
