enormous wave snuck up on him wednesday when an enormous wave snuck up on him resulting in a very scary wipeout that went viral. surfer magazine's jeff mull interviewed dosland about the epic wipeout. dosland survived with just a broken board and a stiff neck. his explanation of how it looked from his point-of-view sounds even more terrifying: but when this wave came toward me, i was totally committed. it looked like a sea monster rising out of the ocean when it came my way. but i was going. no matter what. so i flipped around and started paddling to get into it. you can't really tell from the video, but there was some wind blowing spray up the face as i was about to drop in, which pretty much blinded me for a few seconds. i could only see out of one eye, and only partially. so i was pretty much just going off of feeling for that brief second before you drop in. then, i was able to open up both my eyes, and i realized what was about to happen. then, he tells mull that he laughed it off afterwards and

have all been made and at this point, as always in iowa, this is a turnout game and, we could see a record number of caucus participants today. the pace is not letting up. through the weekend, every candidate made a final pitch and, a final plea for voters. trump says "..please pick a winner this time, okay, please pick a winner. i'm going to win." a big g-o-p turnout tonight will probably benefit donald trump, who leads recent polls. if fewer show up tonight, expect ted cruz supporters to possibly give him the edge. obradovich said ".."we know if there's a blizzard, they're going to shovel their way to their caucuses." for the rest of the field -- especially marco rubio -- this may be a race for third place, but, that's enough to stay in the hunt. sanders said "..the excitement and the energy is with our campaign and what that means." it means that among democrats, bernie sanders -- at one of his final stops in waterloo -- hopes his shockingly large crowds will translate into actual caucus- goers. clinton said "..please go out and caucus tomorrow night. the storm is not coming until after midnight! plenty of time to caucus, we'll get all the votes counted." hillary clinton -- battling renewed scrutiny over her past e-mail practices -- has a
