allyson: spartanburg county sheriff is asking for your help to find out who shot the mother of two. geoff: breaking this morning, attacks in indonesia in jarkarta, the nation's capital, where they sit five attackers and two civilians were killed. we will continue to update you on this breaking news throughout the morning. allyson: we are taking a look outside and not quite as cold as it has been, right? dale: it will be cold enough, but by the afternoon, it runs up nicely. not seen any precipitation across the carolinas and georgia. we have a couple of those developing and they will pump clouds in the area tonight and into tomorrow. we get rain tomorrow afternoon.

allyson: fox business network will host the debate and focus on economic, domestic and international policy issues. it will be held at the north charleston coliseum and performing arts center. the undercard debate earlier in the evening will feature these candidates, and senator rand paul do not qualify for the main de is boycotting the event. they will debate sunday in charleston. geoff: the man accused of shooting down nine people inside the emanuel ame church in charleston is mentioned in the journal of a gunman in a deadly theatre shooting. louisiana police say that last summer, john hauser killed people in the theater before shooting himself. they released a copy of his journal which tanked dylan roof for, quote, "thank you for the wake up call, dylann," referring to dylann roof. in the journal, houser also shared his thoughts on political figures, the media, and other races. allyson: officials say 19-year-old dylan patterson is the fifth person to plead guilty

shows marina.35 degrees in the anderson area with a little breeze out of the southwest and it makes it feel cooler. count on that as you get ready for work and school, but no precipitation today. that comes tomorrow afternoon. we have low 30's in greenville to anderson, abbeville in the low to mid 30 range and the breeze out of the southwest at seven to eight to 10 and that makes feel like it is in the 20's across the mountains and cooler in north carolina. by the afternoon, 54 to 58 for highs, so lots of sunshine and the clouds filled in overnight. by 2:00 or 3:00, we start to get rain. a good chance of rain for the upstate and mounsunny for saturday and sunday and cooler by the end of the weekend. for the t week, cold. geoff: thank you.

large plumes of smoke could be seen from several miles away. authorities say smoke from the fire is crossing the road, and troopers have been forced to shut down all lanes of traffic on nearby roads. allyson: in texas u.s. customs , and border protection officers in pharr intercepted more than 2000 pounds of what appeared to be marijuana hidden in a shipment of fresh carrots. officers encountered the trailer january 10 and discovered packages of suspected narcotics hidden among the vegetables. the carrot-shaped packages of alleged marijuana carry an estimated street value of $499,000. geoff: a crazy day for one of our nbc affiliates when the news , literally runs up to them at the station and bangs on the door during a police chase. more on that, coming up. dale: we will talk about rain coming into the area in our next

last night's game at finis horne arena. the lander women's and memes teams hosted rival usc aiken. the 71-year-old retired from the microphone following last year's season. and in nascar, governor pat mccrory surprised nascar champion and north carolina resident jeff gordon with the prestigious order of the long leaf pine. it's the highest award the governor can bestow. governor mccrory thanked gordon for his performance on the racetrack, and also his philanthropic work, especially in north carolina. gordon is passionate about pediatric cancer research, treatment and patient support programs through the jeff gordon children's foundation and the jeff gordon children's hospital in concorde, north carolina. allyson: trending this morning, a montana police chase ended affiliate's doors. officials say a woman was seen driving recklessly. police said she took off when they tried to pull her over. keci security footage shows the car stop on the sidewalk, right

we are seeing other temperatures in the 20's across the carolinas and georgia early. let's check on some of the communities in the western part of the upstate, anderson at 36 but cold in pickens county, 25, 30 in salem. by the end of the day, temperatures rebound nicely and reach upper 50's. the mountains in the teens and 20's will reach mid 50's. the breeze does make it feel cooler as you head outdoors. today will be the warmest with more cloud in and a chance of showers by 2:00 or 3:00 friday afternoon into the night. saturday it rebounds a little upstate fairly chilly and gets colder sunday on monday and tuesday. it looks like friday will be the one rainy day and colder temperatures coming for the end of the weekend.
