24-year-old billy jack mccurry died when his pickup over-corrected, and hit a tree. we're told he was heading to his dad's house after only his third day on his new job. the coroner says he suffered internal injuries and died at the scene of the crash. in the second crash in belton, the coroner says 23-year-old shelley hughes died. troopers say hughes' car went off the side of the road, hit a tree and hurled down an embankment. the coroner says hughes was seven months pregnant, and leaves behind two children. she had recently moved to belton from elberton, georgia. greenville police say someone stole cash from four stores at haywood mall. officers tell us torrid, zoomies, clark shoes and journey were affected. they say three of the four doors had emergency exit alarms that were damaged or removed during the burglary. this happened sometime between 10:00 friday and 9:00 police are saturday. still investigating. i'm ok celebrations are in full swing here in the upstate.

was remembered yesterday in downtown greenville. more than 400 students planned their futures during a college fair at the gunter theater. the event featured presentations from several hbcus, historically black colleges and universities. students got an idea of what the cultural experience would be like on campus. >> it works well for me. i want to be more connected to african-american culture. myra: the rainbow push coalition organized the event. the group will hold a blood drive tomorrow at the phillis wheatley center. a computer lab will also dedicated and will be free to the public. racers downtown came across a few four-legged friends. right now, staffers with "greenville county animal care" say many animals are in need of a home. saturday volunteers walked more than a dozen dogs near falls park to build interest in the community. they do this at least once a

myra: the u.s. has now agreed to lift economic sanctions on iran. the u.n. atomic agency said iran had met all of its obligations under a nuclear deal reached back in july. the lifting of sanctions means iran can now regain control of about in frozen assets. $100 billion iran will also be allowed to sell more oil, which should provide a boost to its economy. iran also agreed to release five u.s. citizens as part of a prisoner swap. a washington post reporter and a former marine were among the five u.s. citizens released. however, former at yet agent bob levinson was not released. levinson was last seen in iran eight years ago, but iranian officials claim they don't know where he is. as part of the deal, the u-s offered clemency to seven iranians who were awaiting trial in the u.s. and, the u.s. dealt isis a major financial blow this week. the defense department just released this video showing the bombing of an isis cash

velrie started her own blog detailing the life of a service dog team. a kitten in nebraska is recovering after she was frozen in the storm drain. doctors say she's lucky to escape with at least six of her lives. erin murray has more. >> at 11 weeks old, stormy the kitten waits her turn. she's in the nebraska humane society hospital room waiting on a diagnosis. >> like her paw was basically like out like this because it was so swollen. her rear leg if fractured, so today we're going to do surgery and get x-rays done to her and see what we can do to fix that." >> as doctors remind us though, this little kitten is lucky to even have made it this far. >> appropriately named stormy because on sunday the little kitten was frozen to a storm drain, like this one. people at the animal shelter believe that she may have tried to crawl in here to get out of

dale: coming up on 6:45, as we look out towards the city of greenville, we have light rain falling. 40 degrees right now in some of the higher elevations. we are seeing a little snow mixed in with the rain. don't get too excited. we are talking a than half an inch of accumulation on areas where exactly cold enough to stick. most of the area is not. it is basically the counties along the tennessee-north carolina border and the mountains that have a winter weather advisory until noon today. watch out for that. it will all be over by late morning, early afternoon at the latest. then, we see some sunshine and cool, breezy conditions for the afternoon. the computer model showing snow
