"early today" starts right now. good morning. i'm gigi stone woods. the east coast continues to dig out from this weekend's historic storm that brown record snowfall to much of the area. at least 14 states got a foot of snow as west virginia got an amaze amaze amazing 42 inches. major airports broke records. laguardia got nearly 28 inches and jfk international was hammered with 32.5 breaking the old record by more than 4 inches while central park was one-tenth off the previous record. newark, new jersey, was one-tent on the other hand while farther south along the jersey shore several areas got record flooding. the town of north wildwood was flooded with half a foot more

we had a number of roof collapses in the area from the weight of the snow on top of there. in fact, emergency crews have also tried to go through this snow. in some cases there are streets that haven't been plowed. they have had to respond to emergency in almost two feet of snow, so we're still digging out all the way on the mid-atlantic states from washington, d.c., as i said, to the outskirts of new york city. again, no timeline on when this could be finished, although we're seeing a lot of crowds and crews out overnight working. reporting live, back to you, gigi. >> all right. good luck. edward lawrence, thanks. the two number one teams going head to head in the battle of old versus young. the defending champ battling from behind, tom brady throws one of his two picks from the day. moments later peyton manning hits daniels for a go.
