investigators say no other injuries were reported and the house is likely a total loss. allyson: also, new information this morning. greenville county deputies say they're investigating a home invasion in fountain inn. they say it happened about 10:30 last night on nash mill road. investigators say a man and woman held homeowners at gun point, rummaged through the home, and left in a car. no one was hurt, and no arrests have been made. in greenville county, a boy scout's back home safe after spending nearly a day alone in frigid temperatures covered up in leaves to stay warm. geoff: what a story. wyff news 4's aly myles joins us from jones gap state park with more. aly: lovely a positive outcome in this story. we're here at jones gap state park where we barely have any cell signal. imagine getting separated and dealing with rough terrain. that's what happened to 12-year-old john quay here saturday afternoon.

he was found sunday on old camp creek road hungry, cold, and in wet clothes. we're told john crossed creeks and went through some rough terrain in below freezing temperatures. >> the crew that found him said he just come up and gave them a big hug like thank you. it was pretty overwhelming. aly: john is part of boy scout troop 210 out of powdersville. troop leaders say they teach the boys survival skills at a young age, including using the buddy system. they say they aren't sure how he got separated. officials say john is now home resting with his parents. aly myles, wyff news 4, live at jones gap state park. allyson: greenville county deputies say they need your help finding a double murder suspect who cut off his ankle monitoring device. investigators say bradford williams killed two people at a nightclub in 2014. he was released from jail in january with an ankle monitoring device as part of the home incarceration program. records show he cut off that device thursday morning. deputies say williams has friends and family living in the taylors area and in oconee and

if you see him, you're asked to call 911. geoff: asheville police say they need your help finding a driver who fired shots during a road rage incident. it happened early friday morning along tunnell road. a woman told police she was almost in a collision with a man, who then fired a handgun in her direction. police say they tried to stop the driver, but he took off. the woman was not hurt. if you have any information about what happened, call the asheville police department. allyson: taking in the roads the roseville, 85 near highway 290. earlier, construction and northbound lanes but it has cleared up. fairly quiet on the road so far. one accident involving a deer. other than that, take a look at our travel times. all of this green means you are going to have smooth commutes so

weekend the day after a vigil for the officer. hundreds gathered sunday to remember north virginia officer ashley guindon. officials say she was on her first field shift and responded to a domestic dispute call saturday. investigators say ronald hamilton, an active duty army staff sergeant assigned to the pentagon, killed his wife and then officer guindon. two other officers were injured. in ohio, police are investigating after a pastor was shot dead inside his church during a sunday morning service. william schooler had just walked back to the pulpit inside zion baptist church when the shooter got out of a pew and followed him. more than 20 people were inside the church at the time. the shooter is believed to be schooler's brother, but police do not yet have a motive. geoff: happening today, a member of the famed seal team six set to receive the medal of honor. senior chief edward byers, jr., was part of a hostage rescue mission operation on december 8, 2012, in afghanistan.

ohio, and has already earned two purple hearts for being wounded in combat as well as five bronze stars for heroism. defense department officials said byers is the first living seal to receive the medal of honor since the vietnam war. meanwhile, private space company space-x has not said why it scrubbed a launch of its falcon-9 rocket last night. it was the third time the launch has been canceled in recent days. space-x says on its website the rocket and its payload are fine. the rocket carries a satellite that would bring internet and phone access to millions of people in asia. allyson: a child sitting on an nba bench during the game. that special moment trending this morning.

the mountains normally start out around freezing and get to 54. today, 61 the expected high. a good seven degrees above the norm. this is event number one. it will be very short-lived. another cold front comes through tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow night especially. that will bring us our best chance of rain into half of wednesday. after that, we will have cooler 50's for highs the rest of the week. we will enjoy the warm weather with 68 with 68 or 69 in a few spots in the m upstate and low 60's in the mountains. four-day plus forecast. rain tuesday and tuesday night especially. wednesday, half the day until noon we will have showers in area. that it clears. -- then it clears.
