road in prince george's county. we want to underscore, prince george's county police were not involved in this shooting. that needs to be said. nevertheless, there was a police-involved shooting in prince george's county. it claimed several victims including a 12-year-old girl. shots are fired around 7:00 thursday night at the gates of cipriano apartments. police say it began with an argument inside the apartment of an off-duty police officer with ft. myers in northern virginia. >> during the argument, the off- duty officer left the apartment in an attempt to call for assistance. at that point, the roommate was able to locate the officer's off-duty weapon and subsequently ran out into the parking lot and began randomly firing the we haven't. >> reporter: police say an off- duty u.s. capitol police officer just happened to be driving through the complex, saw the commotion, and confronted the suspect with the weapon. >> the u.s. capitol officer observed the suspect in the parking lot firing the weapon. at that point, the off-duty united states capitol police officer engaged the suspect i
