washington boulevard. >>> of the day and suburban corruption scandal. today prince george county councilwoman leslie johnson will be in court. >> she is expected to plead guilty to federal charges. brianne carter has more. >> according to reports she could plead guilty later this morning. leslie johnson's court hearing is set for 10:00 this morning. the latest in this county corruption scandal. according to reports the councilwoman could enter a guilty plea this morning. he faces charges of evidence tampering and destruction of evidence. she is accused of having $79,000 in her underwear as the fbi raided her palace last november. under maryland law if she enters a guilty plea, will have to step down from her county council seat. however, according to "washington post her office sent out an e-mail yesterday inviting town residents to an event on july 23 with county leaders, indicating that perhaps she could still be in office at that time. last night her husband for county executive jack johnson entered a guilty plea. he is expected back in court for sentencing in september. her h

in landover near belle haven drive. now courtney robinson is live at prince george's county police department. batman is in the hospital this morning in stable but serious condition. officers say that he tried to rob a woman and then fired shots at them. it happened around 9:00 last night in landover outside the 7- eleven store near fedex field. a woman called 911 setting betsy was being robbed. officers found two men on the scene. seen asthem fled the police were searching. -- scene. none of the officers were injured. officers found the other man a short time later. officers are trying to determine whether or not he was involved in the initial robbery. the man in custody in the hospital is awaiting charges. we will bring you more as it develops. courtney robinson, abc 7 news. >>> prince george's county police officers are back on duty. a washington post panel that reviews officer involved shootings decided to return them to duty. this is part of an effort to clear the officers and put them back to work. >>> a fashion designer from the va has been found dead in a new york hotel. 33

job. police in prince george's county are looking for the gunman who attacked the domino's pizza driver. >> it happened before 9:00 last night in the 6800 block of seat pleasant drive. john gonzales joins us from police headquarters with the latest on the investigation. >> good morning. the residents surged multiple gunshots. he was a delivery man for domino's pizza. he was a residenta resident of seat pleasant drive found him on the ground. police believe the man was shot at least one time. even though it is early, there's no official motive, it appears prince george's county police are leaning toward robbery. the gunman is still on the loose. as happens late last night at around 8:30. the third murder in the past four days in prince george's county. we had a spike in homicides early this year and that did seem to die down a little, but now this is at least the 23rd homicide in prince george's county. this man was simply delivering pizzas in the area when he was gunned down. john gonzales, abc 7 news. >>> as nato takes control of operations in libya, president obama is preparing

news. this is from prince george's county. a fire at a county firehouse. >> the closest stations lost its fourth career staffing. matt brock has the details. >> to show you the fire station behind me. people are working inside. it is ok now. not so much at about 2:30 this morning. people are worried that this is a sign of things to come. smoke and flames poured out of an engine. volunteers whoere there doing prep work were able to move some equipment before it got too bad. the first fire company called in to help was the capitol heights station. only just this weekend there were bumps down to volunteer stuffing. we're told the capitol heights group never made it here. so many told us they are concerned about reduced staff and that it could lead to disaster. the fire chief at prince george's counties said he is dealing with $110 million budget, that is $2 million less than last year. he has had to make these changes in staffing in certain stations and making some station's specialty stations. he said no new hires until june of 2010. the guys working here get no overtime. matt broc
