. 75,000 people are without power in prince george's and montgomery counties. but these storms could bring cooler weather? >> it's going to bring cooler weather. around the city we really just saw a few drops of rain, that's about it. just mostly to the south of us. lots of trees and wires down there as well. around the region right now, skies are partly cloudy right now with no clouds around. take a look at temperatures around the region. 77, still rather mild but it will be drying out and cooling down over the next couple of days. winds southwest at 10. they'll be shifting to the northwest by tomorrow. that will bring in a new drier air mass. down to 68 in oakland, 78 in cumberland. most of the region saw thunderstorms, in the central and lower eastern shore very heavy wind gusts and rain damage as well. that's all moved to the east, pretty much gone now. it's kind of a reenforcing shot of weather. it's going to get here overnight into tomorrow afternoon. by tomorrow afternoon, the humidity will start coming down. you will feel the difference, it won't be as sticky or uncomfortable

telethon featuring george clooney and anderson cooper. this friday beginning at 8:00 p.m. >>> may day is called out after the floor of a burning home collapses dropping firefighter into the basement. the 3-alarm fire broke out this morning. five firefighters were battling the flames when the floor gave way. two firefighters were rescued. the they are being treated for nonlife threatening injuries. >>> tonight several men are in custody charged with animal cruelty and mutilation. they walked in on a dog fight as it was happening. wjz is live and it's a bust that doesn't happen often. kellye? >> reporter: the two dogs and men are in custody. the dogs are secluded because one is a trained fighter and one is a bait. illegal street racing in prince george's county: >> reporter: prosectors offered both of the defendants a plea deal but only one of them accepted. the other maintains his innocence and will fight for his freedom in court on monday. police say while the crowd of about 50 people was watching one illegal drag race on route 210 they had no idea another was taking place behind them. eight people died when this crown victoria plowed into the crowd from behind. >> my mom, my grandfather and then when it hit them, then all the body pieces just jumped up. >> reporter: back then the driver, darren bullock, insisted he was not drag racing, but police say surveillance video from the nearby beretta factory proved otherwise and led to indictments against bullock and 20-year-old tevon taylor, the man police say bullock was racing. >> photos were pivotal along with the interviews of the people who were there, the 75 to 82 interviews that were done i think were a cornerstone of the investigation. >> reporter: on friday, darren bullock accepted a plea deal that could put him in prison for 15 years. >> i ha
