district, southeastern montgomery, western prince george's, falls church, arlington, charles and northwestern st. mary's counties you have flash flood warnings physical 12:30. this has had a great impact on -- until 12:30. this has had a great impact on the region and with more rain coming down from our south we have to watch the next several hours. have to show you these rain totals doppler estimates but charles county has been clobbered with 15.7 inches of rain estimated. we have seen ground truth of that. had a call of alexandria, 11 inches reported by monica peek. near the london town area 10 inches, around alexandria again doppler estimates 11.6 inches. we slide into montgomery county heavy rain up there 6 to 8 inches and on up to howard, baltimore, prince george's county 9 and 10-inch rain amounts. this is staggering in a twoen day period and a flash flood -- in a two-day period and a flash flood watch remains until 2 a.m. for the entire area. we'll keep an eye on what's coming out of the south, but needless to say east of 95 fredericksburg south it's coming up in that dire

i-95 and out to the east. prince george's county has been getting some fairly heavy snow. we've had fairly heavy snow moving right up here into the district as well. and then there's continuing to be heavy snow for prince william county up into fairfax county. what we're seeing now is a little bit of a lull back out to the west here from, say, loudoun county right out towards 81 and into west virginia. it is lightening up just a little bit as it is for frederick county as well. i think we're going to continue to see that for the next several hours, but this heavy snow band that you see in the red from southwest to northeast, it jumps right across the district, that will stay in place for quite a while. so i'm expecting at least during the early overnight period, that here in the district and parts to the east we'll actually be getting the heaviest of the snowfall and then by tomorrow morning another big general area of moderate to heavy snow will be forming as the coastal area of low pressure is forming. as sue as been hinting at as well, once that area of low pressure forms, the wi

lacrosse player george huguely is about to get underway. huguely is a accused of killing his girl friend yeardley love back in 2010. >> reporter: at 6:18 this evening each side in the case finally agreed that they had a pool of 28 people who are qualified to serve on the jury. tomorrow morning at 9:15 the prosecution will have what are called strikes. that is, they can remove people from that pool. the defense also has strikes and they will get down to final panel of 12 jurors and three alternates. as soon as that is done, the opening hearing you'll will begin. part of the problem in selecting this jury is that all of the potential jurors came from the city of charlottesville. this is where the murder took place. this is where george huguely was a varsity lacrosse player and was a senior here at the university of virginia. yeardley love was a varsity lacrosse player and senior here at the university of virginia. this story received saturation coverage and many people who were called as jurors have some connection to the university. they either work here or know somebody who works

said, all the water appeared to be flowing back out into the bay. we did go over to prince george street which runs right in front of the naval academy and that street was completely flooded, but for the most part even the parking lot at the city dock which traditionally floods, the was no flooding there. so that's a good thing. we did see a couple maryland national guard humvees patrolling the area. the mayor has asked for a little help. there's 450 national guard troops throughout maryland helping out. we've seen one circling around annapolis. we know they're on duty here. also want to let people know the shelter in annapolis high school has 35 or 40 people there. they plan to spend the night there and red cross tells me that shelter will stay open as long as they need to. what we're hearing now is they think the height of the storm and the biggest effects might be 6:00 tomorrow morning. so there maybe some people that might want to stay in the shelter tuesday night. we'll have to wait and see how that goes, but it does appear the rain is lessening, that sustained wind that we h

until tomorrow. one of the witnesses who did testify today told the jury george huguely and yeardley love were holding hands at a social function the night before she died. fox 5's paul wagner reports. >> reporter: there was no sound on the tape, just the images of george huguely and yeardley love socializing with others at the off campus bar boylan heights. it's surveillance tape obtained by police turned over to the defense. huguely's aunt was there that night with two of her towers and standing in the well of the court -- daughters and standing in the well of the court with a laser pointer she described who was who and what they were doing. only the video could see the video as his aunt said there's georgie holding hands with yardley. it was around midnight may 1st, 2010, the day after huguely told love in an angry e-mail i should have killed you and the day before he's accused of attacking her. a total of five witnesses were called to the stand. two of them young women who testified seeing yeardley love and george huguely in an argument in the days leading up to the murder. one o

-year-old who accidentally shot himself to death yesterday in prince georges county. police say the child found the gun in a backpack that belonged to raymond brown. brown is facing a charge of reckless endangerment. paul wagner has the latest. >> according to a family member who spoke with reporters off camera today, there was more than one spiderman backpack in the house. raymond brown had one and so did amari perkins. when the six-year-old opened the backpack yesterday afternoon thinking it was his, police say he found a loaded handgun. when the shot went off, the family member says brown was nearby and distraught when he learned what happened. immediately tried to help save the boy's life. brown is a long time family friend and recently invited to live in the house. it's unclear who owns the gun, but brown admitted putting it in the backpack. charges would be filed. >> any weapon inside of a home has to be secured and it can't be stored in a way that allows access to other people, particularly young children. >> neighbors declined to comment on the tragedy and at the child's sch

the district, montgomery and portion of prince george's county. a flash flood warning means flooding is occurring. we know these streams and creeks are full and the ground has taken all it can and these will continue to cause more issues especially with this line that is coming through now. we can stint how many rain has fallen. let's -- estimate how much rain has fallen. let's take advantage of this to see what's going on. we'll show you our sentinel radar and what this is doing is showing us the rain that's estimated to have fallen today. look at the brighter yellows going through the district up to baltimore along i-95. then there's another bright yellow band that goes through northern and western montgomery county all the way up through portions of carroll and baltimore. that's where some of our heaviest rain was. we are estimating anywhere from 3 inches to 1 1/2 inches and with the line that continues to move in our direction we could potentially see another 1/2- inch to an inch on top of that. so flash flooding definitely remains a concern. in terms of the lightning, really win
