in montgomery county and a third in prince georges county, there were children involved in each incident. there were threats to kill not only the women who were the primary victims, but also to kill their children. >> prosecutors say ray confronted a woman, holding an infant inside the garage of her home. locking the two in a closet before stealing her car and getting away. in bethesda, prosecutors say ray forced a 14-year-old boy to tie up his mother before forcing the housekeeper into the bathroom where he sexually assaulted her. >> we are analyzing at this point in time, whether or not mandatory provision exists in maryland would make him eligible for a no parole sentence. >> investigators are not sure if the second suspect was involved in the home invasion on barton road. ray told police he began his spree after his partner was killed in the district. >> we don't know the exact date of that. indicated in open court that it's a statement he made to the officials here when he was being questioned that he was out there on his own because his partner had been killed recently. >>

go back to when he was as young as 6 years old. school officials in prince george's county at one time diagnosed wanson as emotionally disturbed. the prince george's county state's attorney says they worked very hard to get this case involving wheeling out of juvenile court. >> this is a difficult and arduous process. the only way we could obtain justice for ms. wheeling we believe was to waive mr. wanson up to adult it court where the sanctions -- adult court where the sanctions matched the crime. >> reporter: wanson was sent to chilltonham in 2009. remaining four count involve the breaking and entering incident in 2009. in that case wanson broke into a woman's home and stabbed her in her sleep. no trial date has been set. wanson does face life in prison and this marks a first. wanson is now the youngest ever juvenile charged as an adult in prince george's county. >> what fallout, if any, has there been from the murders? >> reporter: several staff members were fired for failing to follow protocols at the time of wheeling's death. a report by a watchdog group juvenile justice moni

unidentified 39-year-old man is dead apparently shot by a prince george's county sheriff deputy who was trying to serve a temporary peace order. now, the peace has been interrupted in this normally quiet neighborhood since then, swarming with crime scene technicians as investigators try to piece together exactly what happened here. we saw one county official remove what appeared to be a bag of evidence from the scene. this alley resulted around 7:30 when the deputy arrived to serve that peace order. it is essentially an order of civil protection involving two unrelated people, pending a court date. >> a female subject allowed the deputy entry into the home. while talking to the female subject, a male subject appeared at the rear of house with a firearm. the officer dischannelled his weapon striking the suspect. the subject was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. >> reporter: to recap, a prowrnlg sheriff deputy shot a man while trying to serve a peace warrant. neither the dead man nor the deputy has been identified. the sheriff deputy is a ten- year veteran on the for
