into southern prince georges county just north of waldorf. waldorf, there's lightning around you. this is still north of fredericksburg. it is basically going to pull on and continue to move down to the south and southeast. it's all moving at about 20 to 25 miles per hour. it will move on down to the southeast. it will get on out of here and have more light rain and before the next hour or so, i think most of us will be dry. this is the way it looks as we pull out. now i want to take you further to the north because the last few hours we have been watching this complex of showers and thunderstorms coming out of north western sections of pennsylvania. and it has been severe. it has weakened just a little bit. the good news here, if there is any good news, the storms prediction center in norman, they have all the fancy tools and a lot of eyeballs on this, have decided not to issue a severe thunderstorm watch. so that is good. i still think that comes all the way down and some of the viewing area will get some rain, maybe some dying thunderstorms out of it. we'll talk more about it in the

district or prince george's county. it does include montgomery, loudoun and frederick and howard and points to our north and west for what we are thinking is getting to be a pretty minor accumulation. i want to show this to you on radar because we've been watching this clipper-like system come toward us but i've got to tell you it's really kind of falling apart as it comes across the mountains. still think we're going to get something. you can see the leading edges just beginning to come in on our area. towards charlottesville they picked up about a tenth of an inch of this fine powdery snow. the city of stanton got about a half-inch. really i thinthat's about the way it's going to go. first of all you should know this will be very powdery snow with really only minor accumulations expected. it will get -- it is getting going now but i do think it will be over. it's moving so fast that this will be over by 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning, especially because we have what we call the dry slot coming over us. it will affect the morning rush hour. there could be some slick spots but the bigge

, prince georges, carol, cal bought, baltimore county, arlington, lowden, fairfax, this entire area still under a severe thunderstorm watch. now to the west where you're seeing the darker green and to the further is where we have a flash flood warning in effect. that particular area, they've been seeing rain coming down about 2 to 3 inches already reported in these areas and a it is still coming down so that's an area where we do expect to see rain continuing into the course of the next few hours. as i said this is in effect until 10:45 p.m. a flash flood warning in effect for those areas in the green. we have thunderstorm warnings have ended but i wouldn't be surprised to see more pop up. a look at truview and you can see it all moving its way through. the line heading towards areas of the east and storms continue to be very strong as well. we haven't had a lot of let up in that at all. let's go to our weather maps. hail has been a big factor, a quarter to one and 3/4 in frederick county, maryland. winds haven't been too bad but we will expect to to see showers and thunderstorms, g

hurt. it happened in prince george's county near route 50. police say a fire truck was leaving the scene of a crash trying to make a u-turn when it was rear-ended by a tractor trailer. all four firefighters in the cab of the engine were hurt including one who lost an arm. fox 5's paul wagner has more. >> reporter: from sky fox you can see the gap in the median where the driver of engine 28 was trying to turn when the engine was hit from behind by a tractor trailer. although no charges have been filed at this point, police say the driver of the tractor trailer had the right-of-way. >> at this time we believe that in the early morning hours approximately 2:40 a.m. a fire engine was dispatched to 495 southbound near route 50 to assist the maryland state police department with a minor vehicle accident. the engine arrived on scene and quickly determined there were no injuries and they cleared the scene. at this time preliminarily we believe as the fire engine was clearing the scene they were headed southbound on 495 and their intention was to make a u- turn through an emergency vehicle
