cho. >> prince george's county fire investigators have made an arrest in an arson that a firefighter critically hurt. flash back to aprilth. the firefighter suffered severe burns while battling this home. wisdom martin is here with details on the arrest. >> reporter: i had a chance to speak to the suspect, at this time, he said no comment. but court documents say a lot. they say daniels set the fire to get back at a woman he was having an affair with. >> charges stem from a house fire that severely injured a firefighter. firefighters responded to a house on harrington drive in largo. the homeowner was inside with two other people. they escaped unharmed. one of the firefighters, daniel mcgowan suffered severe burns. investigators later figured out a vehicle under the car port had been set on fire anticipate that caused the rest of the house to go up in flames. during the arson investigation, a shirt collected it e scene had gasoline on it and the dna of john daniels. cording it to court documents, daniels was having an affair with bivens and he was upset because she ended the real est

first six months of it year, there have been 1.2 million transactions at pawnshops in prince george's county. and police say a lot of those transactions have not been legal. >> my client is not a cowboy out there. >> reporter: ron swartz and his client who owns the maryland computer exchange pawnshop could only stand by and watch as police seized hd tvs, computer equipment, saws, drills and vacuum cleaners from their business. many of the items were still in new boxes. investigators say the shop is clearly breaking the law by buying and selling stolen goods. >> people do not buy products new in the box and then come to a pawnshop and sell them at 10 cents on the dollar. >> reporter: investigators say some of them still have stickers on them, stickers from places like wal-mart and home depot. >> we have evidence that there are transaction sheets that weren't filled out properly. we have information that people have sold this merchandise to the establishment here without proper identification. >> reporter: for years police say stolen goods being sold to pawnshops has been a major proble

were being transported by the helicopter to prince georges hospital when the helicopter went down in a heavily wooded area. the ntsb concluded a number of factors led to the crash. among them bad weather and pilot fatigue. >> we saw a pilot with a very heavy workload having to divert because he wasn't able to get into prince georges hospital. we saw ineffective handling by air traffic control. >> reporter: the most glaring of problems discovered involved air traffic control simply not responding in a timely fashion to the pilot. and in one case, giving out dated weather information. >> that information was old. it was detected that wasn't working but the controller at potomac tray con did not look at the date-stamp p and time stamp and realize the weather was over five hours old. >> reporter: for majored ab wells who had her -- jordan wells who had her leg amputated it's an accident she will live with and hopes recommendations will prevent future tragedies. >> you can only hope and pray it will fix things and make them better. >> reporter: the ntsb has made a number of recommendation
