george washington university joins us tonight. it's not every day we hear about space junk the size of a school bus falling to earth. how rare is falling unmonitored space junk? >> oh, it happens all the time but not with things this big. i mean there's pieces falling out of the sky all the time, but they burn up before they hit the earth. this is different because it is so big. the predictions are something like 26 sizable pieces will impact the earth somewhere. >> i guess a lot of people are still trying to figure out why we can't pinpoint where or when this satellite will land. what are you hearing? >> well, this is an oddly shaped thing. it's slowing down just a little bit every time it orbits the 90 minutes and it's tumbling and so when it loses the velocity to keep it in orbit is not very predictable, whether it's orbit one, orbit two, orbit three. sometimes probably tomorrow afternoon -- sometime probably tomorrow afternoon a and until you know which orbit is its last one, you can't say where it's going to come down. >> easy for you to say. let me ask you. this the odds of being h

into southern prince georges county just north of waldorf. waldorf, there's lightning around you. this is still north of fredericksburg. it is basically going to pull on and continue to move down to the south and southeast. it's all moving at about 20 to 25 miles per hour. it will move on down to the southeast. it will get on out of here and have more light rain and before the next hour or so, i think most of us will be dry. this is the way it looks as we pull out. now i want to take you further to the north because the last few hours we have been watching this complex of showers and thunderstorms coming out of north western sections of pennsylvania. and it has been severe. it has weakened just a little bit. the good news here, if there is any good news, the storms prediction center in norman, they have all the fancy tools and a lot of eyeballs on this, have decided not to issue a severe thunderstorm watch. so that is good. i still think that comes all the way down and some of the viewing area will get some rain, maybe some dying thunderstorms out of it. we'll talk more about it in the

in prince george's county several weekends ago. he drowned in the pool but wasn't found for two hours. fox 5's roz plater is in the newsroom now. >> we're hearing tonight from a woman whose company provided private security at the mansion. she tells us how the young man got into the pool in the first place, how she learned there was anything wrong and what happened afterwards. just to review, it was a pool party at the broadwater mansion july 30th in upper marlboro. the security company says there were hundreds of people at the party but only a handful in the pool which was rarely used for swimming in these events. around 1:30 the next morning a young man came to her with an urgent plea he was a friend of the victim who drowned and the one who called 911. >> he came to me and is like my man's missing in the pool. i said where is he at in the pool? he said we definitely jumped in the pool but we didn't think he was going to jump in the pool. i had already seen all them jump in the pool together. >> two hours later 22-year-old kevin akwa finley was found dead in 9 feet of water. one of
