georges county police are trying to find whoever killed a teenager in fort washington. they found marquis davis living in the middle of john paul jones avenue. police say at this point davis suffered trauma and was dead on the scene, but that's all they're saying tonight. several people will need to find a place to live after a fire destroyed their apartment last night. it started on the very top floor of the building on annapolis road. 14 adults and two children were left homeless from a fire. >>> what do you do when no one owns the building you live in? especially if you're living there? that's the problem to people living in bank owned properties. a will the of them rallied to point out how bad things have gotten. more than 83% of the buildings in prince georges county alone that were sold at foreclosure have roaches, mice, or even bedbugs. there's holes in the walls, black mold, and broken heat and air-conditioning. tenants say that includes a place call bedford station. >> last week, many, many tenants, hundreds of them without hot water. the heater system was broken and some

on radar. there's still a little bit of activity down there. southern prince george's county and across portions of northern calvert, crossing across chesapeake beach. cambridge, you may get a couple of these showers. a few spotty showers east of 270 in montgomery county and over into howard county west of columbia. on trueview you can see all the activity as it was moving on down to our south. it's a cool front that slipped through. we were 79 degrees for the high today but now that that cool front has pushed on through, no such luck tomorrow. it's going to be one of those days where we do a 180. i'll give you a preview of what we can expect as we look at our surface features. we'll continue to see the cool front slipping on down to our south. high pressure will get more of a northeast wind going and the bottom line, lots of clouds and chilly temperatures are on tap for us tomorrow. maybe a spotty shower here and there. we'll watch for a little bit of light fog. that's not the only change we have in the forecast. before we get to the weekend, we're going to see yet another big t

story at the george washington university tonight, an outbreak of the norovirus is sweeping through the campus making people sick. so far 85 cases, tonight officials are working on stopping the spread of the mightily contagious illness. fox 5's karen gray houston in the newsroom with more details. >> if you thought it, you know it. it feels like a virus, vomiting and diarrhea. gw and d.c.'s department of health conducted tests and confirmed 85 cases among students since monday. most of those students visited the student health service in the last 24 hours. the university has put out a campus advisory. the school is beefing up cleaning those heavily used common areas like the marvin center and gillman library, hand sanitizers being supplied to high traffic areas. students who have not been tracked with the illness are concerned. we talked to an infectious disease expert from the national institutes of health, dr. henry masseur. >> one in 14 american wills get norovirus every year and there are probably 100,000 visits to the emergency room. it's very common. it's extremely uncomfortab

warning and it includes a sliver of prince georges county, northeastern charles and northwestern st. mary's county. within the last short while, and i'm talking the last five or six minutes, we lost that signature that we got on radar, that red ring that indicates the rotation in the center of the storm. there is a lot of lightning in this region moving to the northeast at 30. i'll take you to the sentinel radar because we can spot light the areas within that region that need to be watched. hughsville, you are close to the center of that circulation. if you live anywhere within that polygon, i would be watching this. it is likely producing hail. around 10:12, we think it will be near the community of malcolm, 10:18 near army, 10:18 near horse head and bald eagle 11:26. so we'll continue to watch that . maybe we can see some of the streets showing up not too far from here, including woodville road. i also wanted to mention in addition to our tornado warning, again, which goes for another 10 minutes or so, we're going to watch that, we have a number of flash-flood warnings and these a

: finally both women called 911 telling prince george's county police they needed help getting out. after about 30 minutes a metro employee arrived and unlocked the gates. metro officials say the fault lies with the station manager. according to a spokesperson, the manager failed to look at a computer screen which shows the last train on the tracks. apparently the manager missed it, locked up, and locked the ladies inside. denise says she's not angry about all of this. she is a little tired from lack of sleep. but not surprised this happened on metro. >> i'm thinking it's just another problem in the metro system. >> reporter: matt ackland, fox 5 news. >> the stations do typically close around 12:00, 12:30 depending on the last train but there was track work taking place overnight. station managers are instructed to never lock up until they're sure all trains have passed. we're told that station manager on duty this morning will be retrained on proper closing procedures. >>> we are continuing to stay on top of the breaking news out of the district. police still at this hour searchin

the first we have seen of george zimmerman's wife, 25- year-old shelly zimmerman. in her mug shot snapped at the jail this afternoon. she spent 56 minutes behind bars after being arrested on perjury charges. she lied under oath about money when she testified during her husband's bond hearing on april 20. her husband's attorney asked her several questions about their financial status. >> other major assets that you have, which you can liquidate reasonably to come up with money for a bond. >> none that i know of. >> a judge revoked george zimmerman's bond after prosecutors claimed shelly zimmerman lied about their situation. according to her arrest affidavit, in the four days, shelly zimmerman made eight transactions moving a total of $74,000 from an account in her husband's name into her account. prosecutors allege in these papers that shelly zimmerman transferred another $47,000 from george's account to his sister's account. all money donated by the public through a website to contribute to george zimmerman's defense fund. the arrest affidavit says that shelly zimmerman went into

lacrosse player george huguely is about to get underway. huguely is a accused of killing his girl friend yeardley love back in 2010. >> reporter: at 6:18 this evening each side in the case finally agreed that they had a pool of 28 people who are qualified to serve on the jury. tomorrow morning at 9:15 the prosecution will have what are called strikes. that is, they can remove people from that pool. the defense also has strikes and they will get down to final panel of 12 jurors and three alternates. as soon as that is done, the opening hearing you'll will begin. part of the problem in selecting this jury is that all of the potential jurors came from the city of charlottesville. this is where the murder took place. this is where george huguely was a varsity lacrosse player and was a senior here at the university of virginia. yeardley love was a varsity lacrosse player and senior here at the university of virginia. this story received saturation coverage and many people who were called as jurors have some connection to the university. they either work here or know somebody who works

university of maryland. university of maryland and prince george's county police don't know for sure. he is a person of interest captured running past the security camera after a female student reported being fondled around 3:30 last friday morning at the leonardtown apartments just off campus. within the same time period that early friday morning another woman says she was asleep in a bed with her boyfriend after a house party in the 4700 block of college avenue when she woke to find an unknown man touching her back and buttocks. police say the woman woke her boyfriend who scared the man away. >> the next morning they woke up and discussed it and we were called about eight hours afterwards. >> reporter: a third woman says she, too was fondled around the same time while she slept. it happened at the 7500 block of rhode island avenue right around the corner from the two previous assaults. police say the woman did not report the crime because she initially thought she dreamt the incident. >> this all occurred in one night. we have not had any issues since. we've increased patrols.
