significant amount of blood all over the apartment. >> while prince george's county police were working that crime scene, d.c. police had another mystery on their hand. a 53-year-old man apparently jumped from his apartment in northeast. turns out, his name is on the lease of t langley park apartment, the scene of the double murder. and investigators are connecting the dots. >> they say that that individual in washington, d.c. was the one who actually committed the murders in prince george's county. he fled to d.c. and committed suicide. >> for now, police are labeling this case domestic and an isolated incident. but it's the sixth double homicide in prince george's county this year, something county leaders say is very troubling. >> for any murders in general, it's concerning and troubling. when you get these many and we still have half the year left, we have to figure out what we will do about it. >> police have not released the names of the victims. they are in their 20s. we don't know their relationship to the suspect and what led up to the tragedy. matt? >> thank you. >>> w

george's county police say the child was home with an adult apparently just one adult but was not in the same room with that adult at the time of the shooting and that's based on the 911 call that came into prince george's county police right after the shooting. whose gun it is, why it was in the apartment, was the guardian responsible in any way for what happened, those are the three things prince george's county police detectives right now are looking at. we know that apparently there are several generations of this same family living in the apartment including the 2-year- old boy who shot himself dead tonight, but we're told just one was inside the apartment at the time, one of the adults, and just a short time ago i spoke with prince george's county police corporal evan baxter. based on your experience would a 2-year-old's hand be strong enough to pull a trigger of a gun? >> there's a lot of factors that go into that. with the hammer pulled back a handgun can have a hair trigger less than a pound. yeah, a 2-year-old could very easily pull the trigger. a lot of guns, the double ac

streets. this afternoon prince george's county police say they got their man. 33-year-old stephan pittman was arrested in temple hills ending a troubling ordeal for the nfl player. >> vince young's agent reached out to us, to the prince george's county police, saying that there had been a number of victims and that they had tried with various police departments to get someone to pay attention to this. we did. >> reporter: prince george's county police communications director julie parker says there may be other victims, but so far pittman is only charged in the case of a 30-year-old woman who met on facebook and duped out of more than $2,000. >> she handed over $2,500 to him believing that he was vince young and that he would in turn give her a job opportunity with the vince young foundation. >> reporter: investigators searched pittman's home in ft. washington before arresting him in temple hills. he'll be extradited to d.c. to face those fraud charges. >> this is an ongoing investigation, not done yet. there could be more charges to come. >> reporter: now besides getting victims

tonight without bond charged with kidnapping and sexually abusing two young girls. prince george's county police officer found and arrested the suspect with one of the girls is hailed as a hero. fox 5's karen gray houston in the newsroom with the story. >> police say charles amofa confessed to both assaults. they say they don't have evidence he is a serial predator. the officer who located amofa minutes after his second alleged abduction found him in a park holding onto the hand of one of his victims. this is charles amofa. police say he's a soft spoken man who lured the two girls from their parents shopping at the valley village thrift store on university boulevard. the first incident occurred july 9th when an 8-year-old girl was abducted. the second assault was yesterday afternoon when a 6- year-old girl was snatched and taken to the west park playground where police say she was assaulted near the swings. the playground is minutes away from that thrift store. officer fredys castro rivas is the policeman who rescued the 6- year-old yesterday when he spotted her in the park with am

still trying to determine how she died. if you have any information, call prince george's county police. >>> now to a story seen first on fox 5, thousands of speed camera tickets in one maryland town may have been issued illegally. those are allegations in a lawsuit filed today that accuses riverdale park police of issuing tickets without an officer signing off but using his name anyway. fox 5 sherri ly is following this. >> a police officer in the department blew the whistle on the police department, but state law, an officer supposed to review each ticket, but court documents show the officer's name on citations even though he was on leave from the department. court documents show e-mails between the officer and two civilian employees that describe writing up the citations saying we all will take 1,000 clear them out. under state law only an officer can do that. each ticket is $40 in 2011 alone the town earned $1.8 million from speed camera tickets, about 1/3 of the town budget. the lawsuit claims the practice goes back to want 9 and that the civilian employees fraudulent -- 2009 and

george's county police have made an arrest in connection with the homicide of a bladensburg business owner. richard naum was killed in april found unconscious inside his burning convenience store. police are not releasing information about the suspect or the arrest until tomorrow. >>> prince george's county police are investigating another homicide tonight. it happened early this morning in the 1900 block of rochelle avenue in district heights. police found 26-year-old dwight hicks with a gunshot wound. he was taken to a local hospital where he later died. call police if you have any information. >>> a teenage bicyclist is in the hospital tonight after colliding with a hit and run driver. it happened at alabama avenue and stanton terrace in southeast just after 11:30 last night. the 17-year-old was critically injured. police caught up with the driver they believe hit him in prince george's county shortly after the incident. officers haven't released his name yet or the name of the injured bicyclist, no details on possible charges either. >>> if you happen to be driving along i-95 corridor
