. izadi gave his first interview to the i-team's george knapp. ((george knapp)) >> arman izadi was a superstar in the local nightclub scene, a promoter who also had a the reason he reached out to us is a story we broke last week about an fbi investigation of the sex trafficking industry here. allegedly, one of the targets of the ongoing federal investigation is a former vice detective named chris baughman. before he left metro, baughman' and his team went after most dangerous pimps in town. one of their biggest arrests was the 2013 bust of arman izadi, shown in this spoof video. izadi was accused of not only pandering but also and robbing women who claimed they were forced to prostitute themselves in local clubs. izadi spent 20 months behind bars awaiting trial, and then, poof, two dozen felony charges were dropped, a story which has not been reported until now. so why did prosecutors change their minds? to be an investigation of possible corruption involving a federal agency. george knapp of the i-team is here with what we know so far. ((george knapp)) the only on the record confirmation we have is in the form of a brief statement issued this morning. the fbi said the bureau's public corruption squad along with agents from the irs. metro intelligence detectives, and the office of the inspector geneal for the department of the interior fanned out to serve search warrants at three locations. one location was the regional office of the bureau of this is the office that manages the hoover dam. law enforcment sources indicate that one focus of this probe is a contract to manage the sale of electricity from the dam. the 30 year contract expires in 2017 so an audit committee was set up to review the operation. the contract to conduct that audit was worth about a million dollars. the person who chaired that audit committee worked in this same bureau office..... his name is frederick leavitt, but he goes by rick. this is his home in henderson and it too was visited by agents this morning. th
