martin. protesters say it's not over despite the verdict that found george zimmerman not guilty. what do they have planned for today. >> reporter: they're planning another rally starting at 5:00. protesters want the federal government to open a civil rights case against zimmerman. we'll gather here at the inner harbor. the plan is to march to city hall. more than a hundred people gathered at the same spot. they stood out here for hours. the rally was organized by baltimore people's power assembly, the same protesters who say they made a difference last year when zimmerman was not charged for more than six weeks after shooting trayvon martin. they're back out here again following zimmerman's acquittal calling for civil rights charges this time. >> the system was set up that he was released -- it was set up to reinforce the privileges that people have in this country. >> in a statement the justice department says it is investigating to determine whether those charges should be filed in this case. again the rally is set to start tonight. we're live, abc news. >>> 100 pastors will travel

latest of what he is having to say. linda. >> reporter: alalong george zimmerman says he shot martin in self-defense. zimmerman's father is speaking out saying martin attacked his son and claims the florida teen told zimmerman you will die tonight and continued to beat him. that's when the father says zimmerman pulled the pistol and did what he did. we know from the police report responding officers found zimmerman bleeding and zimmerman says trayvon martin punched him and slammed him to the ground but martin's family and lawyers say he is lying because you can see zimmerman arriving at police station but there's no blood or bruises. the lead homicide investigator in the case recommended zimmerman be charged with manslaughter but the state's attorney office said there was not enough evidence for an arrest. martin's 16-year-old girlfriend is speaking out. she says she was on the phone with martin before the shooting and he told her he was being followed. >> he said that this man was behind him and. , maryland could be getting a sixth casino at the national harbor in prince george's county. table games like blackjack could also be coming to all of the casino sites. if the measure is passed, the final say voters will have the final say come november? a referendum. lawmakers will also consider whether to give current casino operators a tax break to make up for the impact this adding a sixth casino. the company will owns maryland live and anne arundel mills is against allowing the casino. they say the bill is unfair to current operators who have already invested millions of dollars to build their site without knowing another casino could be built nearby. right now it's unclear if the measure has enough support to make it through. delegate ron george says he's not even sure if everyone is going to show up because of summer vacation plans let alone if the leaders are ready to work together. >> so you have the president of the senate has his ideas. other leaders in the senate. leaders at the house and other people in the house have their ideas and it means that we have a lot of work
