the case involving a 17-year- old trayvon martin. another voice coming to the defense of george zimmerman. and we have new information. >> reporter: charlie, yes, this morning two more people have come forward with information about the trayvon martin shooting. the brother of george zimmerman said his brother defended himself after being attacked by martin. a witness claims they had been watching and the witness said that it started with loud voices before turning into a scuffle then a gunshot. the 17-year-old was shot and killed february 26 in the florida by george zimmerman. now robert zimmerman said his brother did not chase anyone. he thought he looked suspicious not bus of -- because of his race but because of breaks in in the community. he said martin attacked his brother. a report said zimmerman was injured but there is another story by another eyewitness. >> he was talking towards where i watched. i could see him clearer. you can see that it was a hispanic man. he did not appear hurt, he seemed very worried. >> he is the neighbor that everyone wants. they see people stru

george's county leaders and police officers. monday, nine more arrests were made including three prince george's county police officers accused of conspiring with a liquor store owner smuggling booze and cigarettes from virginia into maryland. the u.s. attorney says the arrests are related to friday's arrest of county executive jack johnson and his wife county council elect member leslie johnson. >> the two cases have one important feature in common, they allege police officers violated the trust of the people of prince george's county and joined with criminals to commit violations. >> reporter: federal agents spent monday at a prince george's county liquor store owned by am rik singh melhi. in addition to his arrest three police officers were also arrested and county police chief admits the experience stings the department. baker says despite the developments, they are not sad days for the county and the acts of a few shouldn't deter residents from moving the county from good to great. of course, we will to continue to follow the story as some say more arrests could be possible. until

overnight in prince georges county involving an ambulance. the crash happened around midnight on marlboro pike. the suv slams into an ambulance and ripped it in half. the ambulance had to swerve to avoid a head-on collision. the suv then side swiped the ambulance and then hit a brick wall and a utility pole. the crash killed all three men inside the suv. another medic showed up, took two medics injured in the crash to the hospital. >>> democracy 2010 right now: later today the city board of elections will begin counting nearly 2,000 absentee ballots and that could decide the race for baltimore city state's attorney. late last night, the incumbent for pat jessamy says after that count takes place, the battle could be far from point. >> reporter: a spokesmen is concerned about the integrity of the results. an attorney has heard reports of polls opening late, voting equipment malfunctioning and other problems. right now gregg bernstein holds a narrow lead over jessamy with about 1300 votes. both are waiting for absentee ballots to be counted. a city election official says there are

for the first time getting new reaction from a juror who served in the murder trial of george huguely. he was part of the jury who convicted huguely on second degree murder and grand larceny in the death of cockeysville native yeardley love. the jury recommended spent 26 years in prison. virginia cuts down on the original sentence. so the sentence would be about 22 years minus the nearly two years he served. he is 24 right now and he could be out by the age of 45. if he was found guilty of first- degree murder he would have spent the rest of his life in prison. the juror felt he had the chance to know huguely and yeardley love. >> i never near yeardley love but i got to know her best friends and family and see parts of her life in photographs. >> as reminder the jury sentence is is a recommendation. judge in virginia at the .cally follow the judge's lead. huguely will be sentenced on april 16th. >>> today the port of baltimore welcomes one of the world's largest container shipping companies and this could mean 255 new jobs for our area. now that company begins a direct weekly containe
