fire this morning. 13 action news reporter tom george joins us live near sandhill and tropicana to explain what happened. tom. that fire was enough to get to from across the street.... luckily, the fire station is only a few blocks away and they were able to get the man inside out safely.... unfortunately, his dog wasnt as lucky... sot i'll tell you man, like our hearts were pumping... when michael willer's dog started barking... he knew something was going on... sot and i walk down and i see a bright light and sure enough his house was completely on his neighbors house... he rushed to try and help... sot you just see a big old boof of fire coming out and i was like okay i cant go in there and i have a fire extinguisher.. but the fire was too big... so he called 911... luckily, the fire station was just around the corner.... they had to rescue the man inside from the roof... today, he's doing fine... but his dog didnt make it out... sot we're just glad he was alright, it just sucks that his dog didnt make it out of the willer is just glad they were able act quickly... but is a litt

last night -- tonight, 13 action news reporter tom george is making sure these people are taken care of. tom look live today residents here finally able to get back to their cars again. this area used to be blocked. in fact this whole area was flooded for the better part of the last two days. yesterday.. people who lived here said the water .. gushing since monday night.... were concerned nothing was being done...today, the water was cleared... crews out on site fixing the problem... the hoa says it was caused by a damaged above ground pipe that spread underground causing the water to seep up.. the fix didnt come soon enough for some who were upset. sot patsy holly neighbor my granddaughter couldnt go to school becuase she had no way to wash up and i couldnt even go to my doctor because there was so much water out here. las vegas water district who say because the condos are privately owned, its up the owners to fix the issue.. but they do say, they'll shut off the water while the owner's call in maintenance... which is what they had to do in this case. tom lklv tag now coming up tonigh
