, george bush and his father, you play a conservative in the first primaries and then after you line up the nomination you go to the middle. this time my question is will the conservatives in the party which appear to be pretty strong allow that to happen? will mitt romney will able to become mr. middle? or will they hold his feet to the fire? >> i think he has to have a very narrow agenda on what he's going to do to change the energy problem, to platen the tax code -- flatten the tax code. he needs precise things. i don't think he should try to be all things to all people. he needs to have very clear concise practical solutions, and then he has to sell those solutions to the average voter. i think he should askew this notion of saying i'm super conservative or not conservative. get rid of the labels and say, look, we have high gas prices. this is how i'm going to get you out of it. we have a complex tax code that helps the rich. here is how i'm going to get us out of that. >> when it comes to newt, what do you think about his loose canon factor? >> people are concerned about the ske
