zimmermans were coming out, so i got to see the family. george zimmerman's family. they were a bit solemn. i got to see his wife. i got to see the defense team's wife and their family as well. and so they walked away. so i went back downstairs to report on it, but we were in taped programming. so i went back into the courtroom and the court officers directed me back to the fifth floor. i go to the fifth floor, chris and kate, and there is george zimmerman as i round the corner with his family. and i just look at him and say hello. they keep walking past me and they walk over a window and they look out. and then the prosecution team walks over as well. and then -- but they don't say anything to me. they don't get on the elevator with me. and as i'm walking down, the prosecution walks over to the elevator and they invite us in, me and a couple other reporters. i say to them can we walk in? are we breaking ni kind of rule? they said no, come on. i said it's interesting you're smiling this morning, what does that say? i said that to john guy. bernie said it doesn't say anything, it just says

courtroom today. it is the george zimmerman murder trial coming to the close of week two. this is the 4th of july holiday, but boy do we ever have a lot of evidence to sift through and a lot of legal discussions and things you probably have not seen in this courtroom because there have been competing lead stories throughout the day yesterday when testimony was at its thickest, egypt had its uprising, so we have a lot of testimony to get you familiar with. first, though, we here in america celebrate independence day, as i mentioned, egypt is beginning a new era of political uncertainty. we're just getting word now from reuters that egyptian security forces have arrested the supreme guide of the muslim brotherhood. i'm taking you to live pictures of tahrir square where you can see numerous people, but certainly not the crowds there yesterday. here's what's happened since then. there was a swearing in of a brand new leader. his name is adly mansour. sworn in as interim president. they were careful to let people around the world know he was interim, not final. all of this after the nation's f

waiting as we have bins been continuing this live coverage of the george zimmerman trial. let me roll back and explain to you what you have seen or if you're just joining us. what they're doing is they've just come back from this lunch recess. for the last ten minutes or so they have been showing inside this courtroom the shawn hannity interview. this interview happened the 18th of july which hasn't even been a year since then in which mark o'meara, his defense attorney, and george zimmerman sat and gave this explanatory back and forth with hannity. now we're waiting. we watched the doors open to see who then awe then at this cates the tape that we just saw. so we're going to learn together and i'm going to stop talking here in a minute. carry hackett joining me in studio. mike brooks, hln law enforcement analyst. been watching in the weeds this trial as we all have. so we wait. it's interesting in this trial in particular where we don't know. a lot of times we get witness lists. we don't hear. why? >> well, there is a prospective witness list but we don't have a witness list of

george zimmerman returned to this neighborhood with lead investigator chris serino to do a video reenactment. serino later conducted a more aggressive interview, challenging zimmerman on some points. for instance, in the first statement zimmerman talked about trayvon martin jumping out of bushes to ambush him. in the reenactment, he didn't mention that, but in court, serino's final analysis -- >> did you notice anything to bring to the jury's attention today that caused you that concern? >> nothing i can articulate, no, sir. >> reporter: there was also the testimony from the doctor, an fbi audio analyst for the defense who was called to the stand by prosecutors. his focus, the 911 call where you can hear screaming in the background. while he told jurors it's not possible to determine age or analyze this tape through science, the doctor left one possibility wide open. >> if for this particular case, best approach would be voice recognition by individual who have heard him in his whole life. >> reporter: i want to go back to the courtroom here in sanford, florida, live. you see the

, the final sifting process of a blockbuster legal saga. the case against george zimmerman in the killing of trayvon martin. in the last few hours, if there are any indication at all, zimmerman has quite the uphill battle in defending himself in the second-degree murder charge. the judge just denied the defense's motion to delay this trial. it is set to go june 10th. the judge also ruled that the jury will not be leaving the courtroom on a go-see of the shooting scene. the best way for the jury to understand what happened that night back on february 26th of 2012 is to go there and see if for themselves. but the prosecution said it is impossible to recreate the exact conditions and that judge on your screen debra nelson agreed. also potential jurors will not be sequestered, at least during the jury selection. but all that could change once they actually empanel a jury. they could sequester them. the judge is going to take that up at a later date. so many moving parts on this case. it was a busy morning in that courtroom. i want to go to victor blackwell who joins me live from sanfo
