hours in the trial of george huguely. he is the university of virginia student accused of killing his former girlfriend, yeardley love. paul wagner has a preview. >> reporter: when yeardley love was found dead in her apartment, her roommate told police she found the senior la crosse player face down in a pillow in her bedroom. love's right eye was swollen shut. the door to love's bedroom had been force hope and investigators found a hole in this that george huguely admitted putting there with his foot. when police questioned the varsity la crosse player later that day, he admitted being involved in a altercation with love and told investigators her head repeatedly hit the wall. friends say love and huguely had recently broken up and on the day of the murder, huguely habibie drinking heavily. each side has its open theory on how love died, theories that could be deciding factors in the case. >> we are confident that ms. love's death was not intended but an accident with a tragic outcome. >> reporter: the medical examiner says yeardley love died from blunt force trauma to the head.

prince george's county school bus driver. federal prosecutors have charged him with making pornographic video of himself and an elementary school student. he was busted just months after losing his cell phone memory card. bob barnard has the story. >> reporter: the suspect was arrested last friday at this, the prince george's county school bus depot in brandywine. he is 27-year-old scott smallwood, a school bus driver for the past five years. investigators say he used his cell phone camera to videotape himself engaged in explicit sex with a child. he accidentally left behind his cell phone's memory card at a 7- eleven. >> it is sad to say but it is good at the same time. it was meant for be for him to leave that card. >> reporter: investigators say a customer found the memory card on the checkout counter here, took it home and discovered 10 to 15 videos of child pornography involving smallwood and the boy. >> if he's guilty, he's guilty. he is innocent until proven guilty but i mean it looks that way right now. >> reporter: the feds say he lives at this house with his mothe

driver stayed on the scene of that crash. >>> in prince george's county, a parking lot brawl turned deadly over the weekend. now police are looking for a group of teenagers responsible for this. it happened saturday night outside an apartment complex off southern avenue and capitol heights. police say 50-yard raymond stewart and another man tried to break up a fight when they were attacked by about a dozen young men. the suspects allegedly hit stewart with a 2 by 4 and a metal pole killing him. police say the suspects could face murder charges. >>> one week after his arrest, the man charged with starting three fires in the district is due in court. he face as preliminary hearing. one of the fires he is accused of starting injured five firefighters back in april. he is also suspected in several other arson cases in the district and maryland. his original court date was postponed after a judge ordered him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. >>> the d.c. council approved a major shake-up of its committee assignments in a vote of 12-1. one of the biggest surprises? council member wells

george's county police say they found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. he died at the scene. it's believed the suspect was trying to rob the place. the gunman is still on the run this morning. >>> nevada middle school is going to remain closed for the rest of the week after a shooting that ended with a teacher and student dead. a teacher tried to get the boy to lower his gun but that's when the boy shot the teacher in the chest and killed him. he then turned the gun on himself. >> a male student came to the school with a semiautomatic handgun. he shot two students, one male teacher before turning the gun on himself. >> investigators say the teenager brought that gun from home. this is michael lansbury, the matt teacher who was killed. he also coached the soccer team. he served two tours in afghanistan with the national guard. two students who were also shot are expected to recover. >>> everyone is appalled by this latest tragedy but perhaps not so much as you were the last time or the time before that. and that worries wusa9 security expert ed clark. >> it's almost lik
