have been coming into here at the prince george's county police headquarters but tonight investigators are not saying whether it was one of those tips that helped them find this person of interest. we know they located him a couple of hours ago and right now he is being questioned. investigators are hoping he may have information that could help them find the killer. prince george's county police tell fox 5 they are located and are questioning the person of interest in the murder of maryland state trooper wesley brown. the young officer was gunned down early friday morning as he worked part-time security at the applebee's restaurant in forestville. investigators say just after midnight he escorted a customer out of the restaurant after a dispute over an unpaid bill. half an hour later as brown stepped out into the parking lot, someone shot and killed him. police say the young trooper didn't even have a chance to draw his weapon. that customer seen here in the surveillance tape is their person of interest. >> be very strong and be very courageous. >> reporter: at an emotio

critically hurt after a shooting in prince george's county. police found him lying in the hallway of a building in the 7400 block of 18th avenue in hyattsville. no word on why the shooting happened or who might have pulled the trigger. if you know anything prince george's county police would like to hear from you j. an apartment fire in d.c. has left several people homeless. that fire broke out on o street in southwest yesterday. investigators believe a motor in the refrigerator of one of the apartments started the fire. smoke alarms did go off, and luckily no one was hurt. damage is estimated at $75,000. >>> new tonight at 11:00, who would want to rob someone at a church? well, a georgia woman is recovering tonight after someone attacked her on saturday. she walked into the church's off, robbed the woman, then, according to police, sexually assaulted her. she was taken to the hospital to be checked out. the church's members, as you can imagine, are stunned. >> we just believe that we will come together to support each other and pray for god to bring healing and a miracle. >> church me

in prince george's county and ended in the district did not involve a prince george's county officer. there is a small incorporated town in the county right near the d.c. border. it's called cottage city. it has its own police department in fact. one of its officers was responsible for the pursuit. this is the crash scene that happened during the police pursuit about 4:00 in the afternoon. a suspect's karadzic evened into -- owe car careened into this van. the force so strong the van flipped over. the alexandria heck industries behind -- electrician behind the wheel sent to the hospital. cottage city police say an officer spotted a suspicious car, tried to pull it over and that's when the suspect's car rapid the officer's car -- rammed the officer's car and sped down the road crossing into the district. the cottage city cop following close behind. the police pursuit ended when the suspect's car slammed into daryl jones' van. we found his father on the scene assessing the damage. >> it was a great speed because as you can see right here, this is some of the bumper. >> reporter
