warning and it includes a sliver of prince georges county, northeastern charles and northwestern st. mary's county. within the last short while, and i'm talking the last five or six minutes, we lost that signature that we got on radar, that red ring that indicates the rotation in the center of the storm. there is a lot of lightning in this region moving to the northeast at 30. i'll take you to the sentinel radar because we can spot light the areas within that region that need to be watched. hughsville, you are close to the center of that circulation. if you live anywhere within that polygon, i would be watching this. it is likely producing hail. around 10:12, we think it will be near the community of malcolm, 10:18 near army, 10:18 near horse head and bald eagle 11:26. so we'll continue to watch that . maybe we can see some of the streets showing up not too far from here, including woodville road. i also wanted to mention in addition to our tornado warning, again, which goes for another 10 minutes or so, we're going to watch that, we have a number of flash-flood warnings and these a

george's county police come up with a new way to deal with crime. there have been 46 homicides in the county this year which includes 12 murders in 12 days compared to 34 homicides by this time last year. to slow the trend more officers will be stationed in certain troubled areas around the country. fox 5's wisdom martin joins us now to explain the plan. >> i spoke with the chief of the prince george's county police department and he said they had to focus their attention in certain areas where there's a lot of crime. they also identified some of the violent offenders living in those areas in hopes of keeping them from committing more crimes. >> reporter: prince george's county police are planning for usually the busiest time of the year, the summer. colonel kevin davis of the prince george's county police department. >> the county attorney's office has agreed to provide enhanced attention to anybody we arrest inside these focused areas. so we're serious about this. >> reporter: the police summer initiative focuses on langley park, suitman's hillcrest heights, grass manor and rive

attorney. he told us sometime this afternoon calls into prince george's county were urging voters to not going to the polls because it was no longer necessary. because according to these polls martin had won. there was no reason for to you go vote. well, he tells us this is a clear violation of civil rights law. in fact, that is voter intimidation in his words. these calls appear to be targeted not in prince george's county but in the city of baltimore. just two weeks ago here in baltimore that u.s. senator ben carter and cumming held a news conference to say that they were going to be on the lookout for any kind of voter dirty tricks in their words on election day. cummings had produced pamphlets from 2002 showing robert and him in a pamphlet issued back in 2002 in cummings' words used to confuse democratic voters once they went to the polls. similarly, four years ago, another pies of legislation called democrats for erlich show pictures of him along with the prince george's democrat jack johnson. johnson of course did not endorse him. it looked like he had been backing martin at that p

the child off and kept going to prince georges county. meanwhile, a comcast worker who lives in that apartment complex saw the child wandering around in the cold and dark in this apartment complex and called police. around 7:40, prince georges county caught the suspect on queen's chapel road. he has been arrested and charged with unarmed carjacking. back here in dc at that apartment complex, the mother and the child, the 4-year-old child, were reunited. police say the child appears to be okay a very fortunate situation tonight, because that child was dropped off alone in that apartment complex, in the dark in the cold and was unharmed. shawn, back to you. >> thank goodness she is all right, wisdom martin thank you. >>> and now to an update on a story fox 5 was first to report last night. the arrest of an fbi agent suspected of driving drunk and killing that maryland teenager. we're learning more about the agent and his alleged intoxication. fox 5's bob barnard is in the news room with the latest. >> law enforcement officials have identified the agent. we are told he is adrian jo

george's county police say the child was home with an adult apparently just one adult but was not in the same room with that adult at the time of the shooting and that's based on the 911 call that came into prince george's county police right after the shooting. whose gun it is, why it was in the apartment, was the guardian responsible in any way for what happened, those are the three things prince george's county police detectives right now are looking at. we know that apparently there are several generations of this same family living in the apartment including the 2-year- old boy who shot himself dead tonight, but we're told just one was inside the apartment at the time, one of the adults, and just a short time ago i spoke with prince george's county police corporal evan baxter. based on your experience would a 2-year-old's hand be strong enough to pull a trigger of a gun? >> there's a lot of factors that go into that. with the hammer pulled back a handgun can have a hair trigger less than a pound. yeah, a 2-year-old could very easily pull the trigger. a lot of guns, the double ac

lacrosse player george huguely is about to get underway. huguely is a accused of killing his girl friend yeardley love back in 2010. >> reporter: at 6:18 this evening each side in the case finally agreed that they had a pool of 28 people who are qualified to serve on the jury. tomorrow morning at 9:15 the prosecution will have what are called strikes. that is, they can remove people from that pool. the defense also has strikes and they will get down to final panel of 12 jurors and three alternates. as soon as that is done, the opening hearing you'll will begin. part of the problem in selecting this jury is that all of the potential jurors came from the city of charlottesville. this is where the murder took place. this is where george huguely was a varsity lacrosse player and was a senior here at the university of virginia. yeardley love was a varsity lacrosse player and senior here at the university of virginia. this story received saturation coverage and many people who were called as jurors have some connection to the university. they either work here or know somebody who works

georges county police are trying to find whoever killed a teenager in fort washington. they found marquis davis living in the middle of john paul jones avenue. police say at this point davis suffered trauma and was dead on the scene, but that's all they're saying tonight. several people will need to find a place to live after a fire destroyed their apartment last night. it started on the very top floor of the building on annapolis road. 14 adults and two children were left homeless from a fire. >>> what do you do when no one owns the building you live in? especially if you're living there? that's the problem to people living in bank owned properties. a will the of them rallied to point out how bad things have gotten. more than 83% of the buildings in prince georges county alone that were sold at foreclosure have roaches, mice, or even bedbugs. there's holes in the walls, black mold, and broken heat and air-conditioning. tenants say that includes a place call bedford station. >> last week, many, many tenants, hundreds of them without hot water. the heater system was broken and some

said, all the water appeared to be flowing back out into the bay. we did go over to prince george street which runs right in front of the naval academy and that street was completely flooded, but for the most part even the parking lot at the city dock which traditionally floods, the was no flooding there. so that's a good thing. we did see a couple maryland national guard humvees patrolling the area. the mayor has asked for a little help. there's 450 national guard troops throughout maryland helping out. we've seen one circling around annapolis. we know they're on duty here. also want to let people know the shelter in annapolis high school has 35 or 40 people there. they plan to spend the night there and red cross tells me that shelter will stay open as long as they need to. what we're hearing now is they think the height of the storm and the biggest effects might be 6:00 tomorrow morning. so there maybe some people that might want to stay in the shelter tuesday night. we'll have to wait and see how that goes, but it does appear the rain is lessening, that sustained wind that we h
