minimum wage. boom, boom boom. but that legislation was signed by george w. bush. so republicans raised it when they were in charge. when they had their guy in the white house. at $7.25 an hour, if you figure two weeks unpaid vacation, a person working full time on the minimum wage is making $14,500 a year which is below the poverty level. i mean that's crazy trying to raise a family, trying to survive on $14,500 a year, it is impossible. the president wants to raise it to $9. by the way earlier he had proposed i think during the campaign, raising it to $9.50. i don't know why he went down to $9. tom harkin, senator from iowa told us yesterday on our show that he has legislation which would raise it to $10.10 an hour. i saw a poll yesterday 73% of the american people support raising the minimum wage up to $10 an hour. so i think the president is under -- undercutting it here a little bit. we could go hire. at least we ought to go to $9 and raise the minimum wage. you would think this is a no-brainer. how can you possibly expect people, again, to make it or to ever reach the middl
