the suspect. prince george's county police investigating a homicide in darrell drive that on darrell drive in suitland. -- on darrell drive in suitland. a man was pronounced dead on a scene and no word of a suspect. adrianna: crews fought a fire in rockville on tallahassee avenue and it was an electrical fire that started in a shed. on the this morning people's conditions. larry: two fires in prince william county, one on senator court in lake ridge. no one was hurt. about four miles away on riggs court in woodbridge, a fire broke out near the back of the home and the family thinks it may have started from their grill not being fully out. no one was hurt but the family is displaced. adrianna: preparations for the fourth of july celebration on the wall is being called a huge success. buses blocked the memorial bridge which was closed to traffic. trucks were deployed to prevent anyone from using a vehicle as a weapon, and those efforts kept people safe. the fireworks went off smoothly. the national park service is already looking ahead to another exercise, keeping us safe for the next

are this morning. adrianna: a horrific crash in prince george's county. lanes just reopening. let's get straight to john gonzalez for more. john: good morning. you're absolutely right. literally a minute ago, police opened up the roadway with crews. there will be some delays here on 210 indianhead highway because of this crash. for five were closed up and running. take a look at the video of what this looked like. police responded before 2:00. two vehicles involved, six people taken to the hospital. the video, you can see how horrific this was. the white pickup truck, the volvo badly damaged. a medevac was used. serious and critical injuries we are told. investigators were out here for several hours. with the county's collision road construction team working to establish the circumstances leading up to this crash. right now we are told there is at least one person in critical condition, and again, the roadway here, northbound and southbound of indianhead highway now back up and running in fort washington. that is good news because you live in doing a great job detouring everyone. an

in prince george's county. jummy: sam sweeney is here with more on a man who was shot and killed. sam: the first 911 calls arrived at midnight. when the police arrived they found a man outside with gunshot wounds. he was pronounced dead on the scene. right now homicide detectives are still on the scene collecting evidence. so far no word on a suspect or motive but we can report that police say that this shooting does not appear to be random. you, sam.ank right now a search for a robbery sus act on the university of maryland campus. three people were rob, one of them at gunpoint outside of a dorm and two other buildings in the middle of the campus. the police only have a vague description of the suspect. we will have a live or work john gonzalez coming up later in the hour. the first funerals are set to begin today for the five dallas officers killed via sniper last week. dallas officer michael perl's funeral is set for friday. an officer patrick's funeral will be held saturday. here in arlington there is an outpouring of support for police following the ambush in dallas. three da

, sam sweeney. autria: breaking right now, house in prince george's county is up in flames. larry: at least one person pulled from the burning home. condition this morning? john: that's right, a 74-year-old woman, a homeowner who has lived here a long time. she and her daughter are actually in the hospital. still an active scene. significant damage to the home. the fire started just after 4:30 this morning. the adult daughter was able to get out of the house, she ran out without herself -- with her cell phone -- without her cell so she was out here in the street yelling to neighbors for help. firefighters had to go into rescue her elderly mother. wheelchair-bound, she was not able to get out of the home. that elderly woman is now in critical condition. the fire chief telling us that significant burns and smoke inhalation. this woman being stretchered , firefighters finally convinced her to get checked out. but it doesn't seem she has many injuries at all. it's the elderly woman that the focus is on right now. a delicate situation with her at the hospital. the cause of the fire is

. we are driving here in prince george's county and i want to give our viewers the details of what we know about this horrific fatal accident last night that had the northbound lanes here closed for some seven hours. this is the northbound lanes a 95 year in laurel. right as we approach 200. the icc. the lanes are now open, but this was a fatal for car pileup that injured three people and left 13-year-old boy dead. take a look, from sky track 7 up above, you can see this terrible accident. maryland state troopers responding to a disabled vehicle. a black honda pilot broke down in the middle of the highway. two women remain inside of the car. that dark colored caravan that you can see mangled on the right-hand side of the screen tried to avoid the stopped vehicle when it was slammed by a tractor-trailer. the semi-jackknifed, a white volkswagen was also hit. in the hospital, in critical condition at this hour. the passenger, the 13-year-old boy, was flown to children's hospital, where he later died. the two women in the disabled car were also injured, both expected to survive. maryla
